Obama’s Anti-Family Agenda

The current American President has done more to undermine the institutions of marriage and family than any other US President. And he has also done more to promote the radical homosexual agenda than any other US President. The two of course are intimately related.

Obama had declared war on heterosexual marriage and family by decisively siding with the radical homosexual lobby and their crusade to totally remake society in their own image. Of course we knew of his radical social engineering agenda well before his election to the White House two years ago. Yet still, many gullible or morally irresponsible Christians actually voted for this guy.

Many of us warned before this election that he would obsessively push the homosexual agenda, and undermine God’s intentions for marriage and family. And his actions during the past two years have clearly borne this out. But don’t take my word for it. Consider this just-released report:

“Less than halfway through his first term, President Barack Obama has appointed more openly gay officials than any other president in history. Gay activists say the estimate of more than 150 appointments so far – from agency heads and commission members to policy officials and senior staffers – surpasses the previous high of about 140 reached during two full terms under President Bill Clinton.”

And this has not been lost on the militant homosexual activists. Denis Dison, spokesman for the Presidential Appointments Project of the Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute said this: “From everything we hear from inside the administration, they wanted this to be part of their efforts at diversity.” Michael Cole, a spokesman for the gay rights group Human Rights Campaign, said all this was “significant”.

It certainly is. It is really about the transformation of American society. And Barrack Obama is fully committed to this social revolution. He gave a speech just recently in which he told young people that they should embrace and celebrate the homosexual lifestyle.

He told homosexual young people to “be true to” themselves and recognize their sexual tendencies as “a source of pride, and a source of strength.” He said in a short video clip to young people that they need to affirm and rejoice in their lifestyle:

“In time, you’re going to see that your differences are a source of pride, and a source of strength. … It’ll help you get involved and make this country a better place. It’ll mean that you’ll be more likely to help fight discrimination, not just against LGBT Americans, but discrimination in all its forms. Each of us deserves the freedom to pursue our own versions of happiness … most of all, to be true to ourselves.”

Just how idiotic is such advice? So we should simply pursue our “own versions of happiness”? Really? If it feels good, just do it? Whatever turns you on? Strange, but I bet he doesn’t suggest the same for other lifestyles, such as cigarette smoking, or drink driving.

It seems that in these sorts of activities the government actually steps in and seeks to limit such lifestyles. They figure that such harmful activities must be constrained, in the interests of the greater community good. Here we have a demonstrably harmful and high-risk lifestyle, yet the Obama administration wants to promote it and magnify it.

Why the glaring double standards here? Every other harmful lifestyle the government is quite happy to intrude upon and drastically curtail. Yet a life-shortening lifestyle such as homosexuality is not only not warned against, but is positively endorsed and championed.

It seems that the Obama government is more interested in forcing a dangerous and unhealthy lifestyle on the rest of the American public than in seeking the good of the national interest. Such double standards can only concern ordinary Americans.

It tells us that the leader of the free world is beholden to radical activist groups, and is intent on destroying the social and moral fabric of a once great nation. One can only hope that in the upcoming mid-term elections in November that the Democrats get soundly thumped.

Two years of Democratic control of the US has resulted in a full-scale assault on all that has made America great. The sooner the voters toss out those responsible for this the better. Otherwise we are in for much more bad news. If the first 24 months under Obama have been bad news, and his Democrats do well next month, then you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

As English commentator Melanie Phillips rightly said recently, “The great battles today are not between left and right. They are between morality and nihilism, truth and lies, justice and injustice, freedom and totalitarianism, and Judeo-Christian values and the would-be destroyers of the West both within and without.”

She is spot on. But when the leader of the free world sides with those who wish to destroy the West, then we are in for difficult times indeed.

  1. As David ‘Spengler’ Goldman wrote in 2008, B.O. will go down as the worst US President in history.
    Martin Snigg

  2. Let’s all rejoice in the wonders of “cultural diversity”. I suppose if an alcoholic gets into a car and ploughs into a group of children killing them all he’s not to blame because he didn’t choose to be alcoholic? According to Obama this is the case. In fact, we should all be celebrating and slapping the alcoholic on the back and endorsing his sinful and self-destructive behaviour.

It’s the same with allowing homosexuals to carry on however they see fit. Is it good parenting to allow a child to tear about the place, ripping up the furniture, smashing anything they see fit? Are responsible, decent people expected to just sit back and tolerate this sort of thing?

Well that is EXACTLY what these militant homosexuals are doing, going around tearing up the bible, smashing society, trying to redefine words like “normal”, “choice”, “gay”, “morality” and “science” to however they see fit.

Enough is enough. I just about remember when homosexuality was illegal, and a source of great shame. Now I can’t open a newspaper or switch on the television or leave my house without having parades and diversity training rammed down my throat. If I complain, I’m told I’m a bigot! Well that’s news to me, I thought I was a good, decent Christian! I also remember when we used to be the good guys. Not any more, according to morally bankrupt western leader after morally bankrupt western leader.

I’m only too glad to see these homosexuals tear one another apart; but I’m not going to sit back and let them unpick God’s carefully woven plan in order to sate their own evil lusts. As my grandfather used to say: “They want their heads knocking together.” Not that I endorse violence.

  3. Aids and other sick consequences of dirty living are overlooked. As long as we can do what we want, they say.
Richard Wurmbrand, in his book “Was Karl Marx a Satanist” wrote about “degrees in satanist initiation” the following: “During the initiation ceremony for the third degree, the initiate has to take the oath: “I will do always only what I will”. This is an open denial of God’s commandment, “seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to go whoring.” Nu.15:39.

May we strengthen ourselves in the Lord and be prepared for greater persecution, so that we shall not be swept away by the blind multitudes.

  4. I am so pleased to see you take on publicising the problems connected with Barack Obama. My friends can testify to the fact that I warned as many of my American friends as possible that Obama would be a total disaster. I did something similar here with Kevin Rudd. With all of Rudd’s faults and there are many, he is nowhere near as big a problem as Obama.
Obama pretended to be a ‘great Christian” but attended for 21 years, services conducted by the hateful Jeremiah Wright. Once in the White House, he never went near a church.
Also you can judge people by those with whom they mix. B. Hussein Obama has a bad track record. Space prevents me from listing all the bad guys, but here are a few examples- Van Jones was “appointed” by Obama as the Czar for greening America. He was found to be a card carrying member of the Communist Party and was forced by public opinion to resign. Kevin Jennings was “appointed” Czar for “safe schools” of all things. His best friend (his name I’ve forgotten) is the leader of the so-called man/boy organization, who believes e.g. that a man of 57 years of age should be allowed to have sex with a 15 year old boy, provided the boy agrees. Then there was William Ayres, with whom Obama launched his political career. Ayres was charged with bombing the Pentagon and the World Trade Centre, long before September eleven. He was acquitted on a technicality – the police forgot to read him his rights. The MSM, who collectively are not particularly bright, let Obama become President without any mature and professional questioning, much like they do in the Canberra Press Gallery in our country with the Green/Laborites, because they have the juvenile wish to be part of history. In the November mid-term elections in The USA, B.O’s Democrats will be slaughtered in the House and run a risk of losing the Senate to the Republicans, unless the dirty tricks of the Democrats with their vote rigging is successful.

  5. Prior to 1973, homosexuality was considered a mental disorder. Homosexual behaviour at present leads me to believe that it is high time for us to bite the bullet and have the practice re-classified as a mental disorder.
    Dunstan Hartley

  6. Obama is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, just another example to back up the new testament verse “Having been taken captive by the devil to do his will.”
    Stephen Davis

  7. The only way out of this dirty sludge is prayer. Almighty God will here us, right from the inner depths of our hearts and then even our smallest actions will be magnified one hundred fold! Lets keep fighting as true warriors do!!
    Jane Byrne

  8. Good article on the Uniting Church Bill. (Oops I mean United States)
    Stan Fishley

  9. Obama comes from the seedy world of Chicago thug politics: racketeering, bumping rivals and opponents, cronyism, corrupt wheeler-dealing, community agitating (euphemistically called “organising”), plus the fact that he is an out-and-out Marxist, who absorbed – and taught from – Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”. The latter is proverbial bedtime reading every night. All in all, he is just a Marxist Chicago thug, now on the national stage. God help the once Christian nation of America. May God forgive the American people for being mesmerised by this disreputable character!
Add to all this the fact that he is utterly incompetent:
incompetence on the economy with all the massive spending
incompetence over the Gulf oil spill
incompetence in foreign relations – all his “apology” trips
incompetence over illegal aliens and securing the borders
    etc. etc.
    Murray R Adamthwaite

  10. To Stan Fishley, good play on words mate, very witty, but sadly very true!
    Steve Davis

  11. Why limit “Cultural Diversity” to homosexuality. Why not offer the community a whole raft of further privileges and special rights to pedophiles, rapist, thieves, drug dealers, adulterers, compulsive liars and murderess, they too “deserve the freedom to pursue their own versions of happiness … most of all, to be true to themselves”… After all “they”’ didn’t choose to be they way they are! It’s no different with allowing homosexuals to carry on however they see fit as Barbara puts it.

Jesus said in Luke 16:8 “the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light”. Indeed, the enemy is doing a better job at destroying the world than the children of God at redeeming the world. Homophobia is constantly shouting, “Enough is enough”. Now it’s time for us Christians to shout ENOUGH is ENOUGH!

  12. We have become strangers and foreigners in our own lands. Nothing is familiar any more. The old certainties and values are gone. We live and move and breath in different air now without the vast majority of people knowing even that the change has taken place.

    David Skinner, UK

  13. Rom 2:1-3 – You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. (2) Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. (3) So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?

Dear brothers and sisters, all I have read here is eager condemnation of the world. But the church? Do you know that the church is riddled with impurity itself? Do you have any idea what percentage of men and women in the church are in bondage to sexual sins themselves? Any idea at all??

I’ll tell you – some 60% plus of male churchgoers are habitually using pornography. Some 25% plus of female churchgoers are habitually using pornography.

Brothers and sisters, it is the epidemic of sin IN THE CHURCH that is the problem; that is the stench in the nostrils of our Holy God.

If we spent as much times praying and weeping and agonising over the sins of the church, and crying out for genuine rivival of the bride of Christ with rivers of tears, as we spend lobbing hand grenades at the world, then just maybe, just maybe the church would once again become salt and light.

    Rob Robertson

  14. Thanks Rob But if you read other articles on this site you will see that I repeatedly call for repentance from Christians. But it is not a question of one or the other. but both. The OT prophets were just as busy in giving words of rebuke to the pagan nations as to Israel. It would be silly – and wrong – to say we should never stand up against the world’s sins until the church is perfect.
Wilberforce is a prime example here of tackling evil in both camps.
    Bill Muehlenberg, CultureWatch

  15. Thanks Bill, what concerns me is not the article, but our response as readers, our response as Christians in the pew every time issues of the cultural meltdown of the West are raised. Every time someone points out the sin in the world we Christians all cry a hearty ‘amen brother.’

Every time the sin of the church is pointed out, we Christians squirm in our pews.

Bill, for example, I have been counselling Christian men addicted to porn for over 10 years now. We are rescuing a ‘tiny fraction’ of the number who are at the same time sliding into bondage. And every approach to church leaders to take this issue seriously is rebuffed or ignored!

The church is simply not weeping over its own sin. That is why it is dying. That is why Romans 2 is ever more pertinant today.

Don’t stop sounding the alarm Bill, but maybe start sounding it louder and louder in the church. How? I honestly don’t know, but I’m sure praying that the Lord will wake us up and shake us up.

    Rob Robertson

  16. I agree Bill. How can Rob say that all he has read here is eager condemnation of the world? That is a very unfair summation of this site and I think he should read the entries and the comments much more carefully.
    Peter Murnane

  17. Good point there Bill in reply to the alleged problem with pornography among church goers, but I would like to ask Rob Robertson where he obtained his figures about church goers and an addiction to pornography. Did someone do a survey? If so and I don’t believe those figures for one minute, would anyone who is a church goer and a hypocritical addict with pornography, admit to such a problem publicly?
    Frank Bellet, Petrie Qld

  18. Well as for the statistics firstly Frank, there are literally mountains of them – just a few here, but go looking brother:

47% of Christian familes reported that porn was a problem in their home – Focus On The Family poll Oct 1 2003 (that’s 7 years ago, half way along in the internet age! it’s worse now)

In a 2007 XXXChurch poll 70% of Christians admitted to struggling with porn in their daily lives.

At a 2008 Promise Keepers conference 37% of pastors admitted to being addicted to internet porn.

March 20, 2007: At a men’s summit in Oregon before 2,000 men, Shelley Lubben of Shelley Lubben ministries challenged those who were struggling with porn addiction to stand. 30% rose to their feet. She immediately challenged them a second time, with the result that some 70% were standing.

I could go on and on. At a Christian retreat I spoke at here in Melbourne some 4 years ago, after I presented my session on freedom from Pornography, three quarters of the attendees (mostly ministry and church leadership were at this conference) came to me privately and admitted they needed help.

Adrian Rowse of Roundabout Ministries here in Australia has been recording statistics here in Australia and they are no different to the USA. Contact him at his web site Frank.

And Peter, can I just humbly ask you to go back over the comments to this post and read them again.

I have no condemnation for this web site, it is a vital tool. God has raised up Bill to sound the alarm. What should our response be? it is two pronged, we need to fight the cultural battle with the world out there, but we even more must be fighting the battle for the purity of the Bride of Christ.

Bill, I’m just home from a small workshop with fellow ministries working in recovery from sexual bondage, especially SSA. it was reported that the gay lobby have very recently ramped up the attacks on Exodus here in Victoria and anyone they can identify as speaking out against the gay lifestyle. I believe Anthony Van Brown is the point man, and you probably know of him. They want to get a few outspoken Christians in to court for a few show trials, and that’s obvious. Be assured of a lot of prayer support over you in these most disturbing times.

    Rob Robertson

  19. Thank you, Rob. I feel that this site demonstrates a balanced concern for the state of the world and the state of the church.

    Peter Murnane, Sydney
