One need not be a hard-core Communist or anarchist to bring about the end to freedom and democracy – simply push for special rights for homosexuals, and all this happens quite readily. We have heaps of proof of this, and each new day we see more examples of how the militant homosexual agenda is spelling the end of faith, freedom and family.
One simply has to look at where special rights for homosexuals – including marriage rights – have been in place to see all the destruction and mayhem already being unleashed. Simply consider the situation in just one country – Canada, where special rights for homosexuals have been given for quite some time now, and homosexual marriage has been legal since 2005.
What is happening there is simply shocking, and we now can see perfectly well just how undemocratic and totalitarian the homosexual agenda really becomes once it is enacted into law. The situation in Canada is very bleak indeed, and getting worse by the day.
Two lengthy articles have recently appeared which document the loss of freedom and the erosion of democracy in Canada thanks to the homosexual militants and their supporters amongst the social and political elites. It makes for scary reading, but it needs to be made widely known.
The first piece by Michael Coren is worth quoting at length. He reports, “It’s estimated that, in less than five years, there have been between 200 and 300 proceedings — in courts, human-rights commissions, and employment boards — against critics and opponents of same-sex marriage. And this estimate doesn’t take into account the casual dismissals that surely have occurred.
“In 2011, for example, a well-known television anchor on a major sports show was fired just hours after he tweeted his support for ‘the traditional and TRUE meaning of marriage.’ He had merely been defending a hockey player’s agent who was receiving numerous death threats and other abuse for refusing to support a pro-gay-marriage campaign. The case is still under appeal, in human-rights commissions and, potentially, the courts.
“The Roman Catholic bishop of Calgary, Alberta, Fred Henry, was threatened with litigation and charged with a human-rights violation after he wrote a letter to local churches outlining standard Catholic teaching on marriage. He is hardly a reactionary — he used to be known as ‘Red Fred’ because of his support for the labor movement — but the archdiocese eventually had to settle with the complainants to avoid an embarrassing and expensive trial.
“In the neighboring province of Saskatchewan, another case illustrates the intolerance that has become so regular since 2005. A number of marriage commissioners (state bureaucrats who administer civil ceremonies) were contacted by a gay man eager to marry his partner under the new legislation. Some officials he telephoned were away from town or already engaged, and the first one to take his call happened to be an evangelical Christian, who explained that he had religious objections to carrying out the ceremony but would find someone who would. He did so, gave the name to the man wanting to get married, and assumed that this would be the end of the story.”
He concludes his eye-opening article this way: “The Canadian litany of pain, firings, and social and political polarization and extremism is extraordinary and lamentable, and we haven’t even begun to experience the mid- and long-term results of this mammoth social experiment. I seldom say it, but for goodness’ sake learn something from Canada.”
The second important article on this has just appeared, and it is also a real eye-opener. Law professor Bradley W. Miller assesses the damage which has taken place in Canada during the past decade, and is not optimistic of things turning around any time soon.
He focuses on three key areas: “Anyone interested in assessing the impact of same-sex marriage on public life should investigate the outcomes in three spheres: first, human rights (including impacts on freedom of speech, parental rights in public education, and the autonomy of religious institutions); second, further developments in what sorts of relationships political society will be willing to recognize as a marriage (e.g., polygamy); and third, the social practice of marriage.”
As to human rights, consider the right to freedom of expression: “Many of those who have persisted in voicing their dissent have been subjected to investigations by human rights commissions and (in some cases) proceedings before human rights tribunals. Those who are poor, poorly educated, and without institutional affiliation have been particularly easy targets—anti-discrimination laws are not always applied evenly. Some have been ordered to pay fines, make apologies, and undertake never to speak publicly on such matters again. Targets have included individuals writing letters to the editors of local newspapers, and ministers of small congregations of Christians. A Catholic bishop faced two complaints—both eventually withdrawn—prompted by comments he made in a pastoral letter about marriage.
“Reviewing courts have begun to rein in the commissions and tribunals (particularly since some ill-advised proceedings against Mark Steyn and Maclean’s magazine in 2009), and restore a more capacious view of freedom of speech. And in response to the public outcry following the Steyn/Maclean’s affair, the Parliament of Canada recently revoked the Canadian Human Rights Commission’s statutory jurisdiction to pursue ‘hate speech.’
“But the financial cost of fighting the human rights machine remains enormous—Maclean’s spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees, none of which is recoverable from the commissions, tribunals, or complainants. And these cases can take up to a decade to resolve. An ordinary person with few resources who has drawn the attention of a human rights commission has no hope of appealing to the courts for relief; such a person can only accept the admonition of the commission, pay a (comparatively) small fine, and then observe the directive to remain forever silent. As long as these tools remain at the disposal of the commissions—for whom the new orthodoxy gives no theoretical basis to tolerate dissent—to engage in public discussion about same-sex marriage is to court ruin.
“Similar pressure can be—and is—brought to bear on dissenters by professional governing bodies (such as bar associations, teachers’ colleges, and the like) that have statutory power to discipline members for conduct unbecoming of the profession. Expressions of disagreement with the reasonableness of institutionalizing same-sex marriage are understood by these bodies to be acts of illegal discrimination, which are matters for professional censure.
“Teachers are particularly at risk for disciplinary action, for even if they only make public statements criticizing same-sex marriage outside the classroom, they are still deemed to create a hostile environment for gay and lesbian students. Other workplaces and voluntary associations have adopted similar policies as a result of their having internalized this new orthodoxy that disagreement with same-sex marriage is illegal discrimination that must not be tolerated.”
And consider the changed nature of relationship recognition: “One prominent polygamist community in British Columbia was greatly emboldened by the creation of same-sex marriage, and publicly proclaimed that there was now no principled basis for the state’s continued criminalization of polygamy. Of all the Canadian courts, only a trial court in British Columbia has addressed whether prohibiting polygamy is constitutional, and provided an advisory opinion to the province’s government. The criminal prohibition of polygamy was upheld, but on a narrow basis that defined polygamy as multiple, concurrent civil marriages. The court did not address the phenomenon of multiple common-law marriages. So, thus far, the dominant forms of polygamy and polyamory practiced in Canada have not gained legal status, but neither have they faced practical impediments.”
The truth is, everything changes when special rights are granted to homosexual couples – especially homosexual marriage and adoption rights. We all pay a heavy price if we dare to disagree, and dare to stand up for heterosexual marriage and the fundamental right of children to be raised by their own biological parents.
The crackdown on faith, freedom and family is just beginning. It can only get much worse as the homosexual juggernaut rolls along – unless concerned citizens start to make a stink about this and begin to stand up for their fast-diminishing freedoms.

I have made it plainly clear to all who know me and many who do not know me that I will continue to speak out against such immoral practices. I don’t care if the Law deems such things as Legal, they are simply not moral and I have sworn to uphold the Moral Law not the Legal Law.
It will only be over my dead body that they will ever take away my write of free speech against any immoral acceptance. If they fine me I will refuse to pay the fine. If they jail me, I will continue to speak out on such issues from inside my Cell. God gave me my free agency and I will allow no man or institution to deprive me of my God given Agency. They can beat me, torture me but I will never betray my Saviour and my God. I would much rather be a Martyr than betray my beliefs.

Excellent comment Bill, but also very sad in that Christians individually and the church collectively is even having to waste time and energy on an issue which is so clearly at variance with the clear teaching of Scripture.
For Canada read USA, Britain, France, indeed any country which finally adopts ‘homosexual orthodoxy’ as its social policy – this is satanic attack, and only naive Christians indifferent to truth can shrug it off as being none of their business.

If only those at the beginning had stood up to be more strongly against homosexuality from the beginning of it’s modern rise. If we could have stopped before the movement got out of control we wouldn’t have got to this point. Unfortunately now we are starting to see the effects of not standing fast on the word of God. I believe that this has all gone beyond the “tipping point”, now. It all began in the 1960’s, and has just begun to pick up momentum. At this stage, Christians will not be able to stop it. We need to look after each other and bring as many others we can into the fold. It is too late to try to change the direction our society has taken. We are indeed heading into the “last days”. We can only pick up after the mess, and gather those looking for refuge. Even Jesus Christ did not try to change the society of his time, under Roman rule, but worked to change it person by person. We need to take that advice. Saving souls is far more important than trying to save society. We do it one person at a time…

Here is a word of encouragement from the scriptures that our home group recently read as part of our study of the book of Acts. Acts 18:9 (ESV) And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people”.
As situations become more difficult to openly live the Christian Life and proclaim the Gospel in our community, I know that God is with me and there are many others around me who love and serve our Lord. God never expects me to give up the fight to introduce my neighbours to Christ and eternal life with Him.
My wife and I live in a federal electorate where the views of our MP had expressed that she was in favour on same sex marriage. However she voted against the bill because she received so many letters, emails & phone calls from her constituents expressing that they were against the change.
In Australia we are still able to make our views known and we must continue to speak up when it is proposed that laws be introduced that go against God’s will, otherwise one day we will have a society like Canada & the UK. If we loose this freedom it will certainly become more difficult to share our faith and many more people will not have the opportunity to know the Christ we love and serve.
To Canadians, Britons and Americans, God has many in your country who are His people.

Praise God for all those who are still willing to speak the truth of God’s word in the public place. The fact that there are the court cases means that people still have the courage. I pray that still more are willing to do so. It may shorten the time of “tribulation” in the west and may even ensure that Truth and common sense rasert themselves. The lack of people willing to do so may may mean that darkness oppresses the land deeper and for longer.
Remember Daniel’s three friends who did not presume on their deliverance, though they knew God was capable of delivering them and yet they were delivered.

I’m a bit slow of the mark but I think I’m finally getting the picture. The left are removing the father from his rightful role as spiritual leader of the family unit and replacing him With the Government. This why many men are floundering and women via the feminist movement, have been deceived into thinking choice is the ultimite goal. Women will vote for big Government because they want to be safe. Somehow men need to gain some ground here and getting angry, ranting and raving only makes men look even weaker.

Bill, I sent the link to the film “Agenda: Grinding America Down,” that you put out last week, to over 4000 people. Judging by the responses this has woken many who up till now the film would classify as “useful idiots.”
We need to learn the lessons of the gay,cultural vandals who have used to devastating effect the power of the screen. What we need are high class films like, the Agenda, to awaken the middlies, the vast majority of people who just like to think nice thoughts and not be deemed judgemental or hateful. We need to awaken them from their comfort zones and keep them from falling back to sleep again.
A former homosexual Secretary of State for Culture, Sport and Media, Ben Bradshaw, in 2009, in the British Museum, London, whilst addressing LGBT activists who have an agenda of taking control of schools in Britain, said this:

Nottingham Contemporary, a brand new gallery, has just opened with a David Hockney exhibition and has been full to capacity. Over 6,000 people through the doors in the first two days.
This museum recently staged Hadrian. A tremendous exhibition about an extraordinary man. Who happened to be gay. In large part, it’s thanks to the cultural community in this country that….. I’m seen by most people as a politician who happens to be gay, not a gay man who’s a politician.
A lot of battles have been won. But there are still a lot of battles to be fought………
But – in the cultural community – we have one of the most powerful, persuasive, impressive weapons. Culture changes how people think and feel and act…….. My own personal sense as Culture Secretary is that every month is LGBT month in the cultural sector…… We’ve come a long way in a short time from the dark ages of Section 28. We’ve got an equalised age of consent, gays in the military, adoption and immigration rights, gender recognition and civil partnerships.
We’ve got a good legal framework. But we also need to work on hearts and minds and that is where culture is uniquely persuasive.
The extra-ordinariness of Auden or Hadrian or David Hockney help to make being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender ordinary, usual, everyday. As well as extraordinary, unusual and special….. The cultural sector has traditionally swept the rest of society along on in its wake on equality issues. LGBT History Month is a chance to put our foot down even harder on the pedal.
Last year Teresa May, the Conservative Home Secretary (truly a useful idiot if ever there was one), speaking to Stonewall, indicated that she would take over putting her foot hard on the pedal:
“I think that shows how far we, as a society, have come;”…. “As a country we have come a long way;” and “as a party, my own party, the Conservatives have come a long way. We now have more openly gay MPs and openly gay ministers than ever before………We’ve come a long way. I said at the start of my speech that as a nation we have come a long way, and we have.” (but) “despite the real progress we have seen in recent years, there is much still to do…….. “We are committed to taking action to tear down these barriers………”
As Francis Schaeffer said in 1968, in “The God who is There”:
“The mass of people may not enter an art museum, may never read a serious book. If you were to explain the drift of modern thought to them, they might not be able to understand it; but this does not mean they are not influenced by the things they see and hear – including the cinema,”

Yes, David, culture feeds the soul and people are hungry. They know instinctively that “man does not live by bread alone…”, but what do they put in the place of the word of God, which is supposed to feed our spirit and our soul? Where do they find something to feed themselves with that will last? Where can those who, at the moment do not ant to be preached at see the beauty and satisfying “entrees” that only the Christian culture can provide?
If they can not see John 13:35 and 17:21 in action, how will they know that God has sent Jesus to save us?

We are simply entering a phase – like in the Early Church – when many professions, activities and associations are barred to Christians. As I said, it happened before, and it’s happening again now. We overturned a bad society before, and we will do it again (I know it won’t be quite the same as before; history only repeats itself in a different form, but it will happen – maybe not in the West. We can be thankful in Australia for our recent victory in the Federal parliament, but how long before our MP’s weaken and give in to the activists pressure?
It was reassuring to see so many Labor MP’s, including Ministers, who voted against SSM.

Yes, David, culture feeds the soul and people are hungry. They know instinctively that “man does not live by bread alone…”, but what do they put in the place of the word of God, which is supposed to feed our spirit and our soul? Where do they find something to feed themselves with that will last? Where can those who, at the moment do not ant to be preached at see the beauty and satisfying “entrees” that only the Christian culture can provide?
If they can not see John 13:35 and 17:21 in action, how will they know that God has sent Jesus to save us?

We are simply entering a phase – like in the Early Church – when many professions, activities and associations are barred to Christians. As I said, it happened before, and it’s happening again now. We overturned a bad society before, and we will do it again (I know it won’t be quite the same as before; history only repeats itself in a different form, but it will happen – maybe not in the West. I read the other day that there are 80+m practising Christians in China – maybe there?).
