It seems that faith and family values are continuously under assault, and those pushing radical social engineering agendas are getting a free ride. They certainly have been quite successful at ramming through their agendas despite an often unwilling public.
Plenty of activist groups come to mind here, and one group especially has made incredible headway. The homosexual lobby – quite small yet very active, quite vocal, and so influential beyond their numbers – has been a case study of how to conquer a nation and remake it in the radicals’ image.
One proof of how successful they have been comes in the form of a recent US poll. This is how the American polling group Gallup described the findings: “U.S. adults, on average, estimate that 25% of Americans are gay or lesbian. More specifically, over half of Americans (52%) estimate that at least one in five Americans are gay or lesbian, including 35% who estimate that more than one in four are. Thirty percent put the figure at less than 15%.”
This is quite staggering, and for a number of reasons. The truth is, every single reputable American and international study on this question has found that homosexuals make up just one to two per cent of the population. They have always been a very small minority indeed.

So how in the world can so many Americans get these figures so incredibly wrong? The answer would appear to be rather straightforward. The homosexual lobby and their supporters have been amazingly successful in their propaganda campaigns, and have managed to convince plenty of people that everyone plus their uncle is homosexual.
Of course this comes straight out of the homosexual strategy books penned decades ago. The radicals knew that in order to revolutionise society to embrace their lifestyle, they would have to convince gullible straights that homosexuality is just as normal as gum-chewing or drinking milk.
A deliberate strategy of misinformation was utilised to fool the public into thinking that ‘homosexuals are everywhere, so you better get used to it’. And given how pro-homosexual the institutions of power and influence are (the media, the judiciary, academia, etc) this message has been pushed incessantly and ubiquitously.
Popular culture for example is absolutely awash with homosexuality. There are homosexual characters on most TV shows, films, music videos, and so on. Prime time culture is awash with pro-homosexual images and indoctrination. No wonder so many ordinary people are confused about what is going on here.
Bent Media
Indeed, a big part of why radicalism in general and the homosexual agenda in particular have been so successful is because of the mainstream media. The MSM has been ruthlessly championing these causes. And plenty of studies have borne this out.
Two sets of research have just appeared which show just how much the MSM has anti-family, anti-faith, and anti-conservative values. One has to do with the BBC, and the other with Hollywood. Consider the role of the famous British broadcaster.
A new study conducted within the BBC found a very strong anti-Christian and pro-leftist bias. And in this case those within the BBC are admitting all this themselves! Here is how one English newspaper covers this revealing and alarming story:
“The BBC is anti-Christian and ageist – according to a survey it carried out itself. Viewers also felt that minority groups were over-represented by the Corporation. They expressed concerns over ‘tokenism’ and ‘box-ticking’ and warned the broadcaster against trying to ‘manipulate’ an equal society instead of reflecting reality.
“The survey was conducted as part of the BBC’s ‘Diversity Strategy’ and involved 4,500 people, including some BBC staff. Some viewers still believe the broadcaster has a Left-wing or ‘liberal bias’, the consultation found. Others said ‘positive discrimination’ was still a ‘notable’ problem with the BBC’s recruitment process. According to viewers, Christians are badly treated with ‘derogatory stereotypes’ which portray them as ‘weak’ or ‘bigoted’.
“It was suggested that there was a bias against Christianity and that other religions were better represented. And some felt older women were being ‘marginalised’. The consultation concluded: ‘In terms of religion, there were many who perceived the BBC to be anti-Christian and as such misrepresenting Christianity.’
“It added: ‘Christians are specifically mentioned as being badly treated, with a suggestion that more minority religions are better represented despite Christianity being the most widely observed religion within Britain.’ One respondent said: ‘As a Christian I find that the BBC’s representation of Christianity is mainly inaccurate, portraying incorrect, often derogatory stereotypes’.”
Similar findings can be found in a just-released book about the rampant bias reigning in Hollywood. Ben Shapiro has produced a thoroughly documented volume showing how Hollywoodians themselves admit to their leftwing, anti-conservative bias.
Entitled Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How the Left Took Over Your TV, the book documents how television especially is being used to promote leftist ideology. The lefties in Hollywood themselves spill the beans on all this. I will soon be reviewing this important book.

In the meantime, Shapiro has written a column highlighting some of this information. He says that discrimination against conservatives is rife in Hollywood, and freedom of expression there is almost nonexistent.
“Hollywood’s top non-conservative names admitted to me that such discrimination takes place on a regular basis. The producer of ‘Chicago Hope’ and ‘Picket Fences,’ Michael Nankin, justified discrimination by stating that ‘scripted television is very liberal … that’s the personality that you need to succeed in that business.’ Allan Burns, co-creator of ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show,’ talked down to conservatives, explaining that artists are ‘the intellectual community, that’s why [they’re liberal].’ David Shore, creator of ‘House,’ admitted that Hollywood was overwhelmingly leftist, and that discrimination happened on a regular basis: ‘I think people look at [conservatives] somewhat aghast, and I’m sure it doesn’t help them,’ he said. Top executives admitted it. Top producers admitted it. Top writers admitted it. Some even celebrated it.”
He continues, “The impact in the industry is breathtaking. Conservatives in Hollywood meet in the shadows, afraid to step into the sunlight for fear of being recognized and blacklisted. Liberals feel free to force their politics down the throats of moderate and conservative Americans. Discrimination against some has consequences for all, and discrimination against conservatives in Hollywood is no exception.”
No wonder so many Americans are viewing reality through left-tinted glasses. No wonder so many Americans are confused about homosexuality and how many there are. No wonder the culture wars are in full swing. And no wonder the radicals seem to be winning so often and in such big ways.
The MSM has a lot to answer for. In the meantime alternative media sites like this one will continue to challenge the myths, expose the frauds, and speak the truth. I encourage all other concerned citizens to do the same, in whatever ways they can.
The same could be said of ‘our’ ABC. I dream and pray for the day when the liberal party gets ‘in’ and tells the ABC their funding will be determined by their balance in all things. But then I guess few would tune in.

First, Christian media, particularly electronic, in Australia struggles to survive because (a) the churches do not normally ‘own it’ and therefore keep their flock and resources captive behind closed doors and (b) the power and popularity of secular media is determining the values of many church goers.
Secondly, much of the so called ‘gains’ of minorities is achieved by lobbying. That is they by pass the democratic system knowing full well that their issues would be defeated at a public vote. That is we live in a subverted democracy that disenfranchises the majority.

If you think homosexuality is immoral or changeable, they want to send you to be reeducated, take away your license to practice counseling, or kick your evangelical student group off campus. If you object to facilitating same-sex weddings or placing adoptees with same-sex couples, they’ll slap you with a fine for discrimination, take away your nonprofit status, or force you to choose between your job and your conscience. If you so much as disagree with them, they call you a bigot and a hater.
They won’t stop until they stigmatize your core religious teachings as bigoted, ban your religious practices as discriminatory, and drive millions of religious Americans right out of the public square. But their target is broader than just religion. Their policy is one of zero tolerance for those who disagree with them, and they will use the law to enforce it.
At bottom, they are not interested in sharing the country. They want to wipe everyone else out.
Christians are already second-class citizens. It won’t be long until Christians are forced to wear a yellow cross on their coats and expelled from every public function if they dare speak their healthy Christian views on personal relationships and sexuality.
Meanwhile if you promote promiscuity, adultery, homosexuality, prostitution, pornography, etc, liberals will kiss your feet…

People are going to push the agenda of the left-wings far more than any conservative view. People are going to promote homosexuality, because to the world that we live in, it is okay!
We are not going to bring people to Jesus by judging their lifestyle and beliefs. They know what we think about that. What they don’t know is that we were called to love them anyway, in the way that Christ loved us. Let’s stop judging (as that is God’s job anyway!) and show people God’s incredible love instead!

In 1973 I was a leading Trotskyist and lived in New York City for a time working on the Trotskyist journal “Intercontinental Press”. The gay “liberation” movement hadn’t yet started in Australia so I was ignorant of such issues. I remember walking down Christopher Street in Greenwich Village one very hot day and seeking a thirst quencher, I sort out a suitable pub. I was surprised to see all the bars I looked into were full of men dressed in leather. I recoiled from entering, thinking that they must be bikie haunts! Some time later I went to a dinner party where I was the only heterosexual present. My hosts revealed to me all the famous historical figures who were actually homosexuals; “… it’s a well known fact that General MacArthur had an affair with General Blamey you know…” and other such historical revisions were used to convince me that most of the world were actually homosexual … or secretly desired to be.
In 1978 I marched in the first Sydney Gay Mardi Gras (although it wasn’t called that at the time), thinking it was the right thing to support. All the people on the footpath along the way jeered and hurled hard objects at us as well as abuse. The police attacked and made many arrests. Compare this with the Mardi Gras today, viewed by tens of thousands of ordinary suburban families, funded by the city and state governments and containing police contingents! It took less than 40 years to make the delusions of a few activists in the Lower West Side of Manhattan the accepted truth of the masses in Sydney and official government policy. Note: I use the word ‘activists’ above with instructional intent; we need to be much more of the same type, engaging vigorously and rigorously with the culture in which we find ourselves.

Yes and no. Love and judgment are not opposites of course. Wilberforce loved slave traders enough to judge them, telling them they were wrong and needed to repent. Some Germans Christians were loving enough to judge the Nazi regime. Jesus was so in love with sinners that he told them to repent and warned them of wrath to come. Love and warnings, love and judgment, love and reproof, in other words, belong together. While getting the biblical balance right may be difficult, that is nonetheless what we are called to do.

Thank you Bill for another timely and excellent article. I rarely comment, but I would like to make a couple of points. Firstly – regarding General Macarthur and Field Marshal Blamey. These two fellows disagreed repeatedly and heatedly on Allied strategy in WW2 and controversially insisted on their wives being present with them on their postings, so a homosexual affair between them is not only unlikely but laughable, and based upon an entire absence of evidence. FM Blamey, though he acquired a reputation for drinking and womanising, had originally been a Methodist lay preacher. There is no credible evidence to suggest that either men were other than conventional Christians.
I would not comment on US attitudes, but certainly the BBC and its local offpsring the ABC are the children of the state religion, i.e. Anglicanism. Since its inception under the serial killer Henry VIII, Anglicanism has survived by seeking to incorporate most trends and movements in Christianity. The 1930 Lambeth Conference, the 1980s UK conferences and the recent actions of the US Episcopalian Church are only the most notable examples of this trend. The folk of the BBC and the ABC are merely the atheist offspring of nominally Anglican parents, especially if you look at the background of most ‘celebrity’ atheists. I particularly recall quite a few Anglican bishops from the 1970s onwards who, inter alia, denied the Divinity of Christ. In US terms we only have to look at Bishop Spong et al onwards to chart their ‘journey’. Poor catechesis is its own empty reward. The rest of us, from whatever tradition in the English-speaking world, are increasingly forced on the defensive as atheism becomes the not only the default position, but indeed the dominant position. Who will carry the banner for Christ into the 21st Century? We will triumph or shrink into a small minority whereby most souls are condemned through lack of knowledge or our courage?

Why are we surprised by the tactics? Dr Bernard Nathanson, instrumental in the success of Roe v Wade, told us as much did he not? Their campaign would routinely falsify illegal abortion figures by a factor of ten in order to convince the public that abortion needed to be legalised. The public needs to know the truth. Unfortunately, the liars are controlling what the public read and hear.
One way to counteract this might be to convince people to cancel subscriptions to MSM newspapers, change TV channels when the program becomes objectionable, and delete similar internet articles. Simultaneously, the outlets providing these ‘services’ need to be informed about the reasons for our actions.

You might well have mentioned the vast global network of lobby groups and activist organizations spawned by the international humanist movement and related leftists ideologues, and their endless efforts to suppress Christianity and eradicate theism. Their influence in the media, education, politics and the courts far exceeds that of homosexual lobby. And the pending humanist spawned High Court challenge re scripture in schools is only the initial part of a far reaching agenda, and strategically regarded as the thin edge of the atheistic humanist wedge. If successful, they will then target chaplains in the military, state funding of Christian schools, state funding of Church related hospitals, and ultimately the Christian foundations of Australia’s constitutional monarchy. In which case we become, without a referendum, a godless humanist republic by default, which Australia largely is already, considering we are declared to be the most secular nation on the planet.

I’ve taken note over the years of the penchant for homosexuals to exaggerate figures in relation to their lifestyle- ten is their favourite number for multiplication. Years ago the Guttmacher organization in Seattle, Washington did a comprehensive study speaking to 59,000 males aged 16 to 59 years. Over two years they came up with the figure of 1.9% for male homosexuals. In so doing they came across quite a number of females, so they collected those figures while they we at it. The figure for female homosexuals was 0.90%. The Wellcome Trust in The UK obtained similar figures as did a group in Europe. An interesting survey in one country viz, Norway arrived at a male figure of 0.90%. You’ll notice that the homosexuals themselves do not conduct regular surveys, proving that they don’t believe their own propaganda. A group of them did a survey once, over five years ago in Australia. Their figures matched those I listed above. One mention on the air and that piece of news disappeared without trace. However the percentage of homosexuals in the arts and in the media is considerably higher, but those occupations represent a insignificantly small section of the workforce.

I’m always reminded of the mini parable in the Wizard of Oz where Dorothy falls asleep in the field of poppies and is in danger of never waking up. We Christians are in a field of poppies; the reek of the Spirit of the Age is all around us, but we’ve got accustomed to it and, what’s more, we’re being lulled asleep because we refuse to step out of it. To help others, we have to get out of the poppy field. Stop watching Hollywood. We don’t have to watch the sitcoms, the movies or the BBC to know how evil they are. Vic) and they do not believe creation but aspire to evolution. This is what is happening around us folks, so if we are true Christians and desire that our children be taught the truth, we need to ensure they are being taught what we believe. The MSM and the internet is getting a free run from christians because we refuse to get involved in any meaningful way.
Not a day goes by that I am taking on the atheists in all manner of forums on the internet. Three or four christians are usually taking on 50 or more atheists at any one time.
I take on the homosexual bandwagon on their own sites and whilst the word is not actually spoken, they turn the air blue with extremely offensive language. Their attitude is “How dare you disagree with what we say and want.”
Usually only two or three will counteract their claims, which are usually based on lies.
I have had a running battle with the BBC about blasphemy. I said as they were so fond of blaspheming the Christian faith, when could I expect them to blaspheme the Islamic faith.
Of course they said they had no plans to do so. I asked why they picked on us. Answer. Because we are easy to pick on. I told them that unless they blaspheme the Islamic faith in equal numbers I would report them to the EOAHRC for discrimination.
Judging by their response, I doubt if the matter has been raised by many other christians so they do it by default. A case of evil triumphing because good men (ala christians) do nothing.
It is no use tut tutting if all we do is sit in our armchair and watch TV.

Isn’t this exactly what we should expect? We are living in a fallen world! This world is not perfect, and so people are going to be anti-Christian. People are going to push the agenda of the left-wings far more than any conservative view. People are going to promote homosexuality, because to the world that we live in, it is okay!
We are not going to bring people to Jesus by judging their lifestyle and beliefs. They know what we think about that. What they don’t know is that we were called to love them anyway, in the way that Christ loved us. Let’s stop judging (as that is God’s job anyway!) and show people God’s incredible love instead!

In 1973 I was a leading Trotskyist and lived in New York City for a time working on the Trotskyist journal “Intercontinental Press”. The gay “liberation” movement hadn’t yet started in Australia so I was ignorant of such issues. I remember walking down Christopher Street in Greenwich Village one very hot day and seeking a thirst quencher, I sort out a suitable pub. I was surprised to see all the bars I looked into were full of men dressed in leather. I recoiled from entering, thinking that they must be bikie haunts! Some time later I went to a dinner party where I was the only heterosexual present. My hosts revealed to me all the famous historical figures who were actually homosexuals; “… it’s a well known fact that General MacArthur had an affair with General Blamey you know…” and other such historical revisions were used to convince me that most of the world were actually homosexual … or secretly desired to be.
In 1978 I marched in the first Sydney Gay Mardi Gras (although it wasn’t called that at the time), thinking it was the right thing to support. All the people on the footpath along the way jeered and hurled hard objects at us as well as abuse. The police attacked and made many arrests. Compare this with the Mardi Gras today, viewed by tens of thousands of ordinary suburban families, funded by the city and state governments and containing police contingents! It took less than 40 years to make the delusions of a few activists in the Lower West Side of Manhattan the accepted truth of the masses in Sydney and official government policy. Note: I use the word ‘activists’ above with instructional intent; we need to be much more of the same type, engaging vigorously and rigorously with the culture in which we find ourselves.

Yes and no. Love and judgment are not opposites of course. Wilberforce loved slave traders enough to judge them, telling them they were wrong and needed to repent. Some Germans Christians were loving enough to judge the Nazi regime. Jesus was so in love with sinners that he told them to repent and warned them of wrath to come. Love and warnings, love and judgment, love and reproof, in other words, belong together. While getting the biblical balance right may be difficult, that is nonetheless what we are called to do.

He described Blamey as living it up with some nurses on a hospital ship while his men ashore were repelling a savage Japanese night attack. Thank you Bill for another timely and excellent article. I rarely comment, but I would like to make a couple of points. Firstly – regarding General Macarthur and Field Marshal Blamey. These two fellows disagreed repeatedly and heatedly on Allied strategy in WW2 and controversially insisted on their wives being present with them on their postings, so a homosexual affair between them is not only unlikely but laughable, and based upon an entire absence of evidence. FM Blamey, though he acquired a reputation for drinking and womanising, had originally been a Methodist lay preacher. There is no credible evidence to suggest that either men were other than conventional Christians.
I would not comment on US attitudes, but certainly the BBC and its local offpsring the ABC are the children of the state religion, i.e. Anglicanism. Since its inception under the serial killer Henry VIII, Anglicanism has survived by seeking to incorporate most trends and movements in Christianity. The 1930 Lambeth Conference, the 1980s UK conferences and the recent actions of the US Episcopalian Church are only the most notable examples of this trend. The folk of the BBC and the ABC are merely the atheist offspring of nominally Anglican parents, especially if you look at the background of most ‘celebrity’ atheists. I particularly recall quite a few Anglican bishops from the 1970s onwards who, inter alia, denied the Divinity of Christ. In US terms we only have to look at Bishop Spong et al onwards to chart their ‘journey’. Poor catechesis is its own empty reward. The rest of us, from whatever tradition in the English-speaking world, are increasingly forced on the defensive as atheism becomes the not only the default position, but indeed the dominant position. Who will carry the banner for Christ into the 21st Century? We will triumph or shrink into a small minority whereby most souls are condemned through lack of knowledge or our courage?

The “MacArthur-Blamey affair” was meant to be a sarcastic bite at the propensity of homosexual activists, in the early days, to claim every second famous historical person as one of their own. This was a tactic used by them to “demonstrate” just how “normal” and “prevalent” homosexuality really is. You don’t hear much of this approach being used these days because the homosexual agenda has received so much official, public and, in some cases, church support.

Why are we surprised by the tactics? Dr Bernard Nathanson, instrumental in the success of Roe v Wade, told us as much did he not? Their campaign would routinely falsify illegal abortion figures by a factor of ten in order to convince the public that abortion needed to be legalised. The public needs to know the truth. Unfortunately, the liars are controlling what the public read and hear.
One way to counteract this might be to convince people to cancel subscriptions to MSM newspapers, change TV channels when the program becomes objectionable, and delete similar internet articles. Simultaneously, the outlets providing these ‘services’ need to be informed about the reasons for our actions.

But when we practice it, let’s practice with a smile on our face and the knowledge in our hearts of what Jesus promised, that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the revelation that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God and those who have been given this revelation by the Father. If we add a good portion of willingness to take up our cross with what Bill said, let’s roll up our sleeves and get ready for the battle. Jesus is coming back, that is also a promise.

You might well have mentioned the vast global network of lobby groups and activist organizations spawned by the international humanist movement and related leftists ideologues, and their endless efforts to suppress Christianity and eradicate theism. Their influence in the media, education, politics and the courts far exceeds that of homosexual lobby. And the pending humanist spawned High Court challenge re scripture in schools is only the initial part of a far reaching agenda, and strategically regarded as the thin edge of the atheistic humanist wedge. If successful, they will then target chaplains in the military, state funding of Christian schools, state funding of Church related hospitals, and ultimately the Christian foundations of Australia’s constitutional monarchy. In which case we become, without a referendum, a godless humanist republic by default, which Australia largely is already, considering we are declared to be the most secular nation on the planet.

I’ve taken note over the years of the penchant for homosexuals to exaggerate figures in relation to their lifestyle- ten is their favourite number for multiplication. Years ago the Guttmacher organization in Seattle, Washington did a comprehensive study speaking to 59,000 males aged 16 to 59 years. Over two years they came up with the figure of 1.9% for male homosexuals. In so doing they came across quite a number of females, so they collected those figures while they we at it. The figure for female homosexuals was 0.90%. The Wellcome Trust in The UK obtained similar figures as did a group in Europe. An interesting survey in one country viz, Norway arrived at a male figure of 0.90%. You’ll notice that the homosexuals themselves do not conduct regular surveys, proving that they don’t believe their own propaganda. A group of them did a survey once, over five years ago in Australia. Their figures matched those I listed above. One mention on the air and that piece of news disappeared without trace. However the percentage of homosexuals in the arts and in the media is considerably higher, but those occupations represent a insignificantly small section of the workforce.

Excellent reminder, Bill. It’s frustrating and infuriating that lies are being dispersed in this way to mask the truth. I’m always reminded of the mini parable in the Wizard of Oz where Dorothy falls asleep in the field of poppies and is in danger of never waking up. We Christians are in a field of poppies; the reek of the Spirit of the Age is all around us, but we’ve got accustomed to it and, what’s more, we’re being lulled asleep because we refuse to step out of it. To help others, we have to get out of the poppy field. Stop watching Hollywood. We don’t have to watch the sitcoms, the movies or the BBC to know how evil they are. We ourselves need our minds, hearts and spirits to be clean and clear to fight an effective battle to win the souls that are sleeping in the darkness. I’ve just been reading about the Welsh revival. What a massive cleanup in such a short time. Let’s start praying for revival!

Sadly even though the percentages are inaccurate, their (the anti christian groups) influence is being felt. I often wonder if the everyday public was really aware of what was going on, would they accept it? I think most don’t know, because they dont bother to be informed unless it affects them and the minority groups are doing such a good job of confusing (and threatening by legal action) the public, as you pointed out Bill, that we now have the situation that even R.E. teachers who call themselves Christians are telling our children the Holy Bible is a book of fairy tales to explain Christianity (this is happening in our country town of Broadford in N.E. Vic) and they do not believe creation but aspire to evolution. This is what is happening around us folks, so if we are true Christians and desire that our children be taught the truth, we need to ensure they are being taught what we believe. Otherwise we will see the radical social engineering groups agendas come to fruition through our children,

The MSM and the internet is getting a free run from christians because we refuse to get involved in any meaningful way.
Not a day goes by that I am taking on the atheists in all manner of forums on the internet. Three or four christians are usually taking on 50 or more atheists at any one time.
I take on the homosexual bandwagon on their own sites and whilst the word is not actually spoken, they turn the air blue with extremely offensive language. Their attitude is “How dare you disagree with what we say and want.”
Usually only two or three will counteract their claims, which are usually based on lies.
I have had a running battle with the BBC about blasphemy. I said as they were so fond of blaspheming the Christian faith, when could I expect them to blaspheme the Islamic faith.
Of course they said they had no plans to do so. I asked why they picked on us. Answer. Because we are easy to pick on. I told them that unless they blaspheme the Islamic faith in equal numbers I would report them to the EOAHRC for discrimination.
Judging by their response, I doubt if the matter has been raised by many other christians so they do it by default. A case of evil triumphing because good men (ala christians) do nothing.
It is no use tut tutting if all we do is sit in our armchair and watch TV.
