“Sack him! Kick him out of the Party! This is an outrage! No political party should allow such contemptible behaviour! He must be disciplined at once! Dump this creep!” Wow, so what are all these frenzied calls all about? Are we finally getting serious about that Labor Party sleaze character, Craig Thomson and his prostitution scandal?
I wish. Instead we have something apparently much more horrendous. You see, a Liberal Senator actually wants to bring a freedom fighter to speak here. Someone who has taken a courageous stand for freedom, and who has warned about the very real dangers of the Islamists, and their war against the West.
I refer to Senator Cory Bernardi (SA) and his proposal to bring Dutch politician and defender of freedom, Geert Wilders to speak here. This has got Labor and its sycophantic MSM supporters in an uproar. They are going apoplectic at this “outrage”.
So let me see if I got this straight: Labor and the MSM think ugly sex scandals involving Labor MPs are just fine, but daring to allow freedom of speech and a warning to the West about jihad by stealth is beyond the pale. Talk about inverted values and a sickness of the soul.
Note how the Melbourne Age introduces this story: “Ultra-conservative Liberal senator Cory Bernardi has provoked outrage by offering to help controversial anti-Islam Dutch politician Geert Wilders during his visit to Australia.”
“Ultra-conservative”? Gee, he sounds like he must be a Nazi. I wonder why the Age never calls a lefty an “ultra-radical”. Only conservatives it seems are ultra. So what makes him so evil? Well, he is pro-faith, pro-life, and pro-family. That makes anyone an evil Nazi who should obviously be crucified, in the eyes of the leftist controlled MSM.
“Provoked outrage”? Who’s outraged? Why only the Age, the Labor Party, and all the assorted hangers-on of the far left. Sure they are outraged. They are always outraged. But ordinary Australians? I don’t think so.
And what about this Wilders dude? He too must be a horrible Nazi who should be put away. What is his beef? Well, as it turns out, he is one of our most courageous fighters for freedom, and a real beacon of hope in a lost West which has surrendered to creeping sharia.
He has been one of the few men to stand up and be counted when it comes to the disintegration of the West and the onslaught of imperialistic Islamism. Not many leaders have been brave enough to stand up and be counted here. But he has. So that makes him Public Enemy Number One for the loony left.
Thanks for alerting us to these two evil characters, Labor and the MSM; so nice of you to alert us to their hideous agendas. And so good of you to censor these men and their views. We wouldn’t want people to be able to think for themselves and make up their own minds on this now would we?
It is so reassuring to know that our lily white Labor Party (which is never tinted with evil or corruption) and the Big Brother MSM are there to look after us, preventing any dangerous ideas from getting free circulation in our land. Boy we sure can be thankful for those watchdogs in the Labor party and at the Age.
We can all sleep so much better tonight knowing that these folks will never allow Wilders to enter this country and pollute us with his ideas. It is so nice of them to keep our thinking pure and untainted by their evil ideas. And we can be thankful that we have a means by which we can deal with dangerous Senators like Bernardi.
Yes, sack him at once, and for good measure, put him in a re-education camp, and throw away the keys, until he has renounced his crimes against humanity and has finally conformed to the dictates of the State. It is for his own good, you know, to reprogram him. He is much too dangerous as is at the moment, what with his willingness to speak his mind and resist conforming to the intelligentsia.
Clearly both of these evil creatures are guilty of despicable hate crimes. Censorship is the only obvious response. Perhaps locking both up in concentration camps would also be appropriate. We just don’t want such free thinkers to pollute our land and harm our citizens.
Consider also how the Age decided that Geert and Cory are to be identified with terrorists, while Islam is to be seen as having absolutely nothing to do with terrorism: “Islamic Council of Victoria secretary Sherene Hassan said it was deplorable that an elected politician from a major political party was cosying up to the European far right. ‘Especially given the tragic terrorist attacks that took place in Norway recently. Is this the future direction of the Liberal Party?’ she said.”
There you have it folks. Did the Age allow a counter viewpoint? Did it seek to mitigate this outlandish inference? No way bub. What we have here is a complete inversion. Islam is now the religion of peace, while those who speak out and share their concerns are the real terrorists.
The Herald Sun was not much better here: “Mr Wilders, 48, has faced accusations of racial vilification for his hostile views on Islam”. And why did the HS not inform us that the Dutch courts have acquitted him of these trumped up charges? So the MSM is again happy to create false impressions, and we are left to believe that to show concern about Islam is to make one guilty of the evil of “vilification”. Whoa – evil!
Since the MSM is simply attempting to do a hatchet job on both of these men, while becoming an apologist for Islam, it is up to other voices in the alternative media to seek to provide a bit of truth in this matter. He has a lot to say about Government – He observed way back in the 70s that Christians tend to forget to pray for Government and our leaders.
Definitely a book to read if you can get hold of it still. As much as Christians need to be sharing the good news (and we’re not all good at that.), we need to be praying for the kind of Government that will permit this, not restrict it.

When I learned that he had been barred from showing the film to the UK Parliament (House of Lords, I think…) I obviously had to see what was so awful about the film!! I found it in four parts on YouTube. It wasn’t awful, as far as I could see. Not even racist. But it did give evidence of what is happening. And that IS pretty awful!

The thing I want to know is, has anyone who defends islam actualy read the koran hadith and surra in “chronological” order, in a language they can understand? If not they have no right to say one single thing in defence of islam.
Have they not heard the “moderate” senior imam of the Muslim brotherhood saying quite plainly that islam/sharia is completely at odds with democracy?
Have they not heard the ayatollah in Iran state quite plainly that democracy, equality and freedom have absolutely no place in islam? in fact those words are not even to be found in arabic (the language of islam).
These two examples alone are enough to destroy the argument that islam is misunderstood. but if these two highly regarded and followed imams have misunderstood islam so disastrously, when are those who claim islam is a religion of peace going to go over to egypt and iran and reeducate them as to what islam truly means?
Well anyway, for those who want to censer these two men, show by the nonabrogated verses from the islamic texts that they are factually wrong, or misrepresenting islam, otherwise be quiet.

What I find really surprising about the media treatment especially from the ABC of the ALP back bencher with the credit card – prostitution issue is that it gets milked to the last drop and what for? Isn’t the Labor Party responsible among others for the legalisation of prostitution? So what if he uses the credit card for what he might consider “essential services”? Driving back to Alice Springs this morning from up north on the Stuart Highway, I was listening to the news coverage indicating that since the Victorian Police did not find anything Craig Thomson had done prosecutable, then all was well with the Government. Of course the Libs are still pursuing the matter, hoping I suppose that the NSW police will find something. But in all of the discussion from all sides of the political debate, was not one mention regarding the morality, or lack thereof, of the use of prostitutes. The closest mention was from John Laws on his show, saying in response to a caller that perhaps one of the women who presumably serviced Mr Thomson would call and comment. Morality has well and truly been disconnected from legality in this country.

Censorship is beginning to be the norm for this govt. The NBN contracts include clauses that Optus, etc mustn’t ‘rubbish’ the NBN for 15 years! To win a govt contract means Optus and all other contractors will have their freedom to speak out compromised.

PM Julia Gillard seems to like ringing newspaper editors lately demanding details of stories they will or are running and having the stories ‘pulled.’ Two journalists have been ‘sidelined’ by their bosses for daring to question her integrity and judgment.
The freedom of the press is the protection required in a democracy. Othewise, as George Owell put it, the intellectual cowardice of journalists and editors will not allow free public discussion on issues of public opinion.
The people become pigs and the pigs become people is how the transaction takes place in Animal Farm.
Funny how Orwell was criticising dictators, totalitarians, communists and particularly Stalinist Russia in the book. Could just as well have been describing the ALP.

The MSM tut-tuts about Wilders comparing the Koran with Mein Kampf but if both books encourage killing Jews and undesirables, then it’s a fair comparison. And why can’t we compare the example and teaching of Jesus with the example and teaching of Muhammad, and comment on the results flowing from people who actually follow their example? How many terrorists claim that they are following the example and teaching of Jesus rather than Muhammad? Can’t we ask why migration is from Islamic counties to Western countries rather than the other way around?
We should learn from Holland & Wilders. Australia will be more peaceful if all Australians have the same laws and language. We need laws insisting that migrants and all residents become fluent in English and that all permanent resident children are taught primarily in English. History shows that anything less promotes Apartheid, ghettoes, inequality and increases tensions. Laws must allow individuals to freely leave or join or criticise any religion but any teaching of violence against any person because of their religious belief or lack thereof must be unlawful. Neil Waldron’s suggestion to read the Koran in chronological order is vital. But my attempts to get hold of any Islamic texts (other than a normal Koran) have been unfruitfull. I am aware of the law of abrogation (the Medina verses cancelling the Mecca verses). Can anyone help?
Also, a word about the Muslim doctrine of abrogation (naskh – see suras 2:106 and 13:39). This has to do with later revelations given to Muhammad superseding or abrogating earlier ones. About three-quarters of the Koran’s 114 suras (chapters) are the peaceful Meccan ones, while about one-quarter are the more violent Medinan ones. So while the Koran does speak about peace and nonviolence in religion, these are the earlier Meccan suras (such as 2:256, “Let there be no compulsion in religion” which we so often hear about), which are abrogated by the later violent Medinan suras, if a conflict arises.

The MSM tut-tuts about Wilders comparing the Koran with Mein Kampf but if both books encourage killing Jews and undesirables, then it’s a fair comparison. And why can’t we compare the example and teaching of Jesus with the example and teaching of Muhammad, and comment on the results flowing from people who actually follow their example? How many terrorists claim that they are following the example and teaching of Jesus rather than Muhammad? Can’t we ask why migration is from Islamic counties to Western countries rather than the other way around?
If Islam is a religion of peace, why shouldn’t Senator Bernardi ask a Muslim cleric to publicly denounce fundamentalist Islam. And if a Muslim will not denounce fundamentalist Islam, is that because ‘peace’ in Islam refer only to where Islam rules and everywhere else is the ‘theatre of war’ where Muslims must fight against infidels – and where the Arabic word translated as ‘fight’ actually means ‘kill’ or ‘mortal combat’? We should learn from Holland & Wilders. Australia will be more peaceful if all Australians have the same laws and language. We need laws insisting that migrants and all residents become fluent in English and that all permanent resident children are taught primarily in English. History shows that anything less promotes Apartheid, ghettoes, inequality and increases tensions. Laws must allow individuals to freely leave or join or criticise any religion but any teaching of violence against any person because of their religious belief or lack thereof must be unlawful. Discrimination laws where an offence is in the mind of the offended and or where the accused is guilty until proven innocent must be repealed because they are unjust and divisive.

Hi Bill,
After following the Geert Wilders court case and his final aquittal from hate crimes, I was delighted to hear he was coming to Australia.
My humble opinion of him is this: he is one courageous and committed man who truly stands by what he says and believes without violence or hate. Shame on the Labor Party and MSM! They should follow his example.

If Holland’s Geert Wilders is a hero here, then so must be Australia’s Danny Nalliah.
Both accused of hate speech, both acquitted, both blowing the whistle on the Islamic slow war on the West, both leading a political party defending free speech, both getting death threats from Muslims, both labelled “radical”…
But the similarity ends about there.
Danny is also a Christian and a pastor, stands up to homosexual activists, has a track record of fearlessness in Saudi Arabia… etc etc.

Neil Waldron’s suggestion to read the Koran in chronological order is vital. But my attempts to get hold of any Islamic texts (other than a normal Koran) have been unfruitfull. I am aware of the law of abrogation (the Medina verses cancelling the Mecca verses). Can anyone help?
