Have you ever noticed that if you don’t actively tend to your garden, it will quickly go downhill as weeds and other problems easily creep in? That is how nature operates: unless we take deliberate steps to keep things in check, we will be overwhelmed by unwanted growth.
This is true of nations as well. Unless we consciously take steps to defend our culture from those bent on destroying it, we will soon find ourselves overrun by alien and hostile ideologies and worldviews. One of the most hostile ideologies which the West is facing is political Islam.
The intentions of the Islamists have been made quite clear: to establish a universal caliphate with everyone submitting to Allah. That has been their normal pattern of operation for 1400 years now. Nothing has changed and their goals remain the same.
Traditionally, there are just three options for non-Muslims as Islam spreads throughout the world: conversion, death, or dhimmitude. We have had all three in the millions: forced conversions, deaths, and enslavement by dhimmitude. While the first two are still the norm elsewhere, in the West the third option is increasingly the means by which Islam is established and solidified.
By means of stealth jihad or creeping sharia, more and more of the West is being subjugated to Islam, as so many Westerners willingly surrender their freedoms and effectively become dhimmies. We see examples of this happening every day, and I have discussed plenty of them over the years. Here are some more recent cases.
Let’s begin with Australia. In Sydney we see another case of creeping sharia: “A man who was arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old girl has told police that he married the child in a religious ceremony in NSW this year, police say.
“The 26-year-old will face Burwood Local Court on Friday charged with 25 counts of sexual intercourse with a child between the ages of 10 and 14. Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad arrested the man at a home that he shared with the child in Guildford on Thursday.”
Notice how this write-up simply refers to a “religious ceremony”. And what religion might that be? Christianity perhaps? Maybe Judaism? Um, not likely. While many media reports were demonstrating just how dhimmified the MSM in the West has become, a few reports were willing to be more honest here.
One for example included what the other reports deliberately left out. Let’s see what the real version of events reads like: “Police sources say the 26-year-old man and the girl were ‘married’ in an Islamic religious ceremony in the Hunter region last month.”
And why are we not surprised here? If the Prophet himself – the perfect role model and example for all Muslims to follow – was happy to have a string of wives, including child-brides, then that is still fine for Muslims in Sydney in 2014.
Consider another very worrying story of creeping sharia. One headline says: “Aussies mark World Hijab Day”. Yes you read that right. The article begins: “It’s World Hijab Day with events being held around Australia. Rebecca Kay is holding a celebration in Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall and is encouraging all women to try on a hijab. She says the day is about promoting sisterhood in women around the country and around the world.”
Um, no. It is not promoting sisterhood – it is promoting dhimmitude. The hijab and other mandatory Islamic coverings for women are not about liberation but about exploitation, repression, and second-class citizenship. Those three terms in fact perfectly describe what dhimmitude is all about.
Muslim women have to endure this all the time. And now they are trying to drag free Western women down to this level, and make them subservient vassals in chauvinistic and patriarchal Islam. The fact that the MSM even went along and promoted all this dangerous nonsense shows just how far our lamestream media is in the grip of creeping sharia.
Here is another example, again from Sydney (our most Islamicised part of Australia): “Another Sydney Muslim school is being investigated for serious financial mismanagement, with an investigation into the whereabouts of millions of dollars in payments made to companies linked to its directors.
“Unity Grammar College, a Muslim school of about 800 students in the far southwestern suburb of Austral, is the subject of a special audit by the NSW Department of Education, which is investigating large rental payments, as well as ‘consulting expenses and construction services’, made to companies owned by several of the school’s board of directors.
“According to the school’s last available financial report, Unity Grammar received $6.8 million in state and federal funds in 2012, with 80 per cent of the school’s funding coming from taxpayers. Under state and commonwealth laws, education funding is provided strictly on a not-for-profit basis.
“According to Australian Securities and Exchange Commission records, last year the school paid $1.4m for rent, consulting and construction services to ‘related parties’. In 2011, just over $1m was paid in rent and ‘consulting expenses’. The Australian understands the department is investigating the payments to a company registered as Crescent Investments (NSW) Pty Ltd, whose shareholders and directors are the same as four members of the school’s board of directors.”
Of course it is early days with this, but we would all like to know where exactly these mismanaged funds are going to, and what they are being used for. We know that all too often monies made by various Islamic groups that seem to be legit end up funding jihad and terrorism at home and abroad.
Overseas now, and here is one case of a Western nation – or at least one Western politician – slowly waking up to the dangers of creeping sharia. In Norway one minister says enough is enough: “Norway’s agriculture minister has called on the country’s prisons, hospitals and nursery schools to serve more pork, claiming that the meat is being pulled off the menu to avoid offending the country’s Muslim minority.
“’We cannot stop serving pork because Muslims have moved to Norway,’ Sylvi Listhaug a politician for the right-wing Progress Party, said this week. ‘Those responsible for food in public institutions should make sure pork is on the menu, and then make sure that those who do not eat pork, can get something else,’ she said.”
Well done Sylvi. If only a few more Western politicians had a bit of common sense, backbone, and resolve to maintain our freedoms. My last example comes from a Muslim-majority nation, and demonstrates what a sick religion Islam can be in the hands of its followers.
Consider the late dictator of Libya, Col. Gaddafi and his “macabre rape chamber”: “It can now be revealed that the most heartbreaking of Gaddafi’s victims include hundreds, possibly thousands of teenage girls who, throughout his 42-year reign, were beaten, raped and forced to become his sex slaves. Many were virgins kidnapped from schools and universities and kept prisoner for years in a specially designed secret sex lair hidden within Tripoli University or his many palaces.
“In the 26 months since he was deposed, Gaddafi’s den – where he regularly raped girls as young as 14 – has remained locked. But today its gaudy interior, where the colonel brutalised his victims, can be seen for the first time in photographs from a hard-hitting BBC4 documentary.
“Inside the small, nondescript single-storey complex, the girls were forced to watch pornography to ‘educate’ them for their degrading treatment at the hands of Gaddafi. And even those who did manage to escape were often shunned by their deeply religious Muslim families who believed their family honour had been tainted.
“When the dictator’s body was dragged through the streets by a baying mob, just hours after he was beaten and shot in the head, the hastily convened transitional government moved swiftly to seal off the sex dungeon. They feared the full extent of Gaddafi’s debased and lewd lifestyle would horrify the Western world and cause deep embarrassment to Libya.
“One of the rooms holds little more than a double bed, lit by an orange lamp. Its 1970s decor and grimy jacuzzi – all left exactly as they were when Gaddafi last used it – give it a seedy and gloomy air. But even more chilling is the clinical gynaecological suite in an adjoining room.
“It was here, on two beds fitted with stirrups behind a table laden with surgical instruments, that Gaddafi’s young victims were examined to ensure they had no sexually transmittable diseases. And here they were forced to undergo abortions if they became pregnant. They, however, were the lucky ones. Other young victims were so badly abused that they were dumped in car parks and on waste ground, and left to die.
“Gaddafi’s modus operandi was to tour schools and universities where female students were invited to his lectures. As he spoke before his hushed audience, he would silently scan the room seeking out attractive girls. Before leaving he would pat those he had ‘selected’ on the head. Within hours his private bodyguards would round up those chosen and kidnap them. If their families tried to keep them from Gaddafi’s clutches, they were gunned down.
“One teacher at a Tripoli school recalled how the girls were all very young. ‘Some were only 14,’ she said. ‘They would simply take the girl they wanted. They had no conscience, no morals, not an iota of mercy even though she was a mere child’.”
Again, the misuse and abuse of women and girls at the hands of Muhammad offers Muslim men even today the full justification to move in such disgusting directions. And of course Gaddafi is not the only Muslim leader to engage in such horrific activities.
All the more reason for the West to wise up here, and stop foolishly allowing the spread of Islam throughout our lands. Western freedoms, democracy, the rule of law, etc., are just not compatible with political Islam. Indeed, Islam treats all these Western social goods with contempt.
Unless the West wakes up soon, and starts resisting the spread of stealth jihad and creeping sharia, we may find that soon enough the long held dream of Islam being the sole global ideology has become realised. We will not want to live through that.
