When a Nation Sides With Its Enemies

Is Australia the only nation in the world that actually sides with its avowed enemies? Is this the only country that experiences a major terror attack on its own streets, and then sides with the attacker against the innocent victims? Is this the only place where terrorists are accorded victim status, while the real victims are seen as the troublemakers?

That sure is the impression that we get with the Sydney jihad attack and its aftermath. It seems every politician in the country, along with every media outlet in the land, are doing their best to make life cosy and cushy for jihadists, while making life miserable for ordinary men and women going about their normal business.

From the Prime Minister on down, and all throughout the MSM, we are being told over and over again in mantra fashion that the Sydney Islamic terror attack has nothing to do with Islam, and Muslims happen to be the victims here. Go figure.

A guy sheds the blood of innocent men and women on the streets of a major city in the name of Allah and Islam, and our ruling elites go nuts in defending him and his faith, while attacking the rest of us ordinary Australians. We are somehow the bad guys who need laws to keep us from being so hateful. But more on this in a moment.

In the meantime the nation’s only Muslim Federal MP is going to great lengths to assure us that the Sydney Islamic jihadist had absolutely nothing to do with Islam. Ed Husic, a Labor MP from Sydney, claims – supposedly with a straight face – that the attack by Islamic cleric Monis was not religiously motivated.  (He was the one who swore on a Koran as he took office in 2013.)

Never mind the shahada, the IS flag requests, and statements like this made the day before the attack: “Islam is the religion of peace, that’s why Muslims fight against the oppression and terrorism of USA and its allies including UK and Australia. If we stay silent towards the criminals we cannot have a peaceful society. The more you fight with crime, the more peaceful you are. Islam wants peace on the Earth, that’s why Muslims want to stop terrorism of America and its allies. When you speak out against crime you have taken one step towards peace.”

Yet our Islamic MP – not surprisingly – wants us all to believe that Islam is not even on the radar for this guy. And of course the resurrection of Jesus has nothing to do with Christianity. But it is not just a jaundiced and biased media and political leadership who are bending over backwards in letting Islam off the hook here. Our police and security services are doing exactly the same thing.

Speaking of bias, some of them even now have “bias crimes” that they are policing. As a news report last year began: “Racial, sexual and religiously motivated crimes are being investigated by a specialist hate-crimes unit set up by NSW Police. The Bias Motivation Unit – the idea for which was prompted by the 2005 Cronulla riots and is modelled on FBI squads in the US – is being tested in two city and two regional areas, with plans to extend it across the state.”

The NSW police site offers us more on this:

What is a bias crime?
A bias crime is a criminal offence motivated against persons, associates of persons, property or society that is motivated, in whole or in part, by an offender’s bias against an individual’s or group’s actual or perceived; race, religion, ethnic/national origin, sex/gender, gender identity, age, disability status, sexual orientation or homeless status.
A bias incident is an incident committed against persons, associates of persons, property or society that is motivated, in whole or in part, by an offender’s bias against an individual’s or group’s actual or perceived; race, religion, ethnic/national origin, gender, gender identity, age, disability status, sexual orientation or homeless status but does not constitute a criminal offence.
The effect of bias crime on victims
Feeling isolated and vulnerable
Feeling that your self respect has been taken away from you
Feeling embittered, angry, frustrated
Having a sense of self blame
Protecting yourself and finding yourself on the wrong side of the law
Loss of faith in the police and the criminal justice system
Feeling like retaliating but scared of reprisals….

So this “bias crime” is now being put to good use – against Muslims who had killed Australians? Nope. Against all the supposed white vigilante racists who are attacking Muslims every day on the streets. You have heard those news reports right? Presbyterian choir leaders are taking Muslims captive and threatening to kill them all, while singing Christian hymns and quoting from the Bible’s love chapter, 1 Corinthians 13.

Oh, you missed that one? Well, the Christian jihadists are evidently out in droves, and most Muslims are locked in their homes right now, terrified to even come out. Thus the police are using these “bias crimes” to deal with this surge of Christian haters who are terrorising the Muslim community as we speak.

If you think this is all a bit loony, well, so you should. But this is how the left’s narrative goes: Islam is a religion of peace, Muslims are the victims, and we are somehow responsible every time we are attacked by them. That is the reigning group think of our leftist intelligentsia.

Oh, and by the way: does not what Mad Man Monis did nearly a week ago qualify as a “bias crime”? It seems that every Australian in the country is at least potentially guilty of this offence, except Monis. Well, in my books, he is the first one who should be charged.

He was biased against the infidels. He was biased against the West. He was biased against Australia. He was biased against non-Islamic religions. He was biased against democracy. He was biased against pluralism. He was biased against freedom.

That sure sounds like bias to me. If he were still alive, would he be charged with such legislation? Good question, but I guess we will never know. In the meantime the media and police want us all to be alert to report such thought crimes. Just like the KGB and Stazi of old turned citizen against citizen, it seems our elites want us all to be on the lookout for this bias.

But it seems to be all one way traffic: bias against a bloody death cult and political ideology is the main bias they seem to be targeting and seem to want to stamp out. Anyone who dares to utter a critical word about Islam is the new bad guy who must be reported, investigated, and dealt with by the law.

Scary times indeed when the aggressor is protected, and the innocent victims are targeted.
