Imagine if a young person was struggling with a drug addiction, or a gambling addiction, or a sexual addiction, but the government passed laws saying these people could NOT get help, therapy or treatment in dealing with these unwanted addictions or attractions.
Most people would be utterly shocked at such heartless and fascist interference by the state. They would correctly argue that people should have the right and the freedom to make such choices for themselves, and should not be denied help when they desperately want it.
Yet this is happening throughout the West when it comes to people who are struggling with, and do not want, same-sex attractions. Plenty of jurisdictions are making it illegal to actually offer such people the help they crave. Talk about a bullying pink Big Brother. Talk about the erosion of freedom and human rights.
This is happening here and overseas. Let me look at the latest skirmish of this here – and a derelict lamestream media – and then focus on what is happening in America. In Victoria the Melbourne Age – is once again showing its true colours.
I have documented for decades now how left wing and unbalanced the Fairfax press is in general, and the Age in particular. As I was putting the finishing touches on this article, I came upon another piece which says much the same thing. So let me insert here the words of Mark Powell:
“The Fairfax papers has become so strident in their LGBTIQ advocacy that they cannot tolerate anyone having a view other than their own. And what’s more, they’ll publicly name and shame anyone who does.” Exactly, and the Age article under question is a perfect illustration of this.
It begins with this really ‘ominous’ headline: “Guy under pressure to allow gay ‘conversion’ therapy for kids”. Shock horror! The Opposition leader Matthew Guy has actually had some branches saying we should not turn helpers into criminals.
Yet the Age thinks this is the worse thing there is, and rounds up all their buddies to make comments, while refusing to let just one voice from the other side have a hearing. The piece begins by noting those who are offering the proposal:
Victorian Opposition Leader Matthew Guy is under pressure to give parents greater access to gay ‘conversion’ therapy for their children, with sections of the Liberal Party set to push the issue at this month’s state council meeting. A motion by a conservative Liberal branch linked to Federal MP Kevin Andrews has called for state legislation allowing health practitioners “to offer counselling out of same sex attraction or gender transitioning to patients who request it”.
The rest of the piece features lefties who are criticising this. It offers quotes from three critics of this idea: the co-convenor of the Victorian Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby; the Labor Government Mental Health Minister; and the spokeswoman for Parents of Gender Diverse Children.
Yet not one single word is offered by those working in this area or by who those who have been helped by such counselling. What a sick joke. And this piece was penned by an “Investigative Reporter” and a “Transport Reporter”.
What, “Transport”? You mean they roped in any old pro-homosexual who wanted to push a hobby horse. And “investigative”? You mean an indoctrination reporter. Decades ago the Age decided it would stop reporting the news – at least in a fair and balanced fashion – but would just push radical leftist ideology, and ignore completely any other voices.
This article is a perfect example of this. The Age, like so much of the mainstream media, is simply a con. It does not report on the news, it makes news. It simply pushes leftist agenda items, and does not bother anymore to even appear to be even-handed.

As mentioned, this idea of actually preventing young people from getting the help they so desperately need is happening elsewhere, including in a number of US states. Around a dozen states in America and several dozen cities already have laws on the books which ban any sort of therapy for those who are unhappy with their same-sex attraction.
These jurisdictions have decided that such people will NOT be allowed to get the assistance they so strongly crave. Talk about a rainbow Brave New World in which the state determines how people are supposed to live and feel, criminalising any helps and therapies it considers not to be PC enough.
One of the most recent cases of this involved California. Michael Brown wrote it up at the time and he is worth quoting from here. He begins his piece as follows:

For example, let’s say your church has the policy of offering free pastoral counseling for all tithing members. That means a financial transaction is involved in those services. So you, a member in good standing, want to receive some much needed counseling. You’re a married father of four, but you struggle deeply with gender identity confusion. You set up an appointment with one of the pastors, only to be told, “It is illegal for us to help you.” I am not exaggerating.

Anne Paulk, an ex-lesbian herself, said positive counseling outcomes for people dealing with unwanted same-sex attractions are higher than positive outcomes for those dealing with alcoholism. Yet no one in his right mind would seek to ban professional counseling or therapy for alcoholics.

I have started a petition on Change.org in response to one that wants the PM to ban help for those with an unwanted same-sex attraction. The petition asks the PM not to let people impose their views on others and make it illegal to seek help for an unwanted same-sex attraction if that is what they want.
It will be interesting to see what sort of response it gets.

The biggest mistake people continue to make is to believe that sexual desire defines your sexual identity. To a 50 year old virgin like me the conflation of desire with response and then also behaviour is very obviously false. To a Christian the idea that every desire we have is good is equally absurd. (The prophet Jeremiah spoke on this about 2700 years ago: “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” – Jer 17:9)
From these foundational mistakes on our identity we have a society that – in conjunction with any number and level of rejection of God’s boundaries on sex in pursuit of the love of sin – is emotionally and irrationally motivated to preserve this stupid narrative no matter what. They are slaves to their desires and need to justify themselves. ‘That’s just the way I am!’
So the corrupt in positions of power insist they can deny people the right to self-determination, even when it is not forced and can be walked away from at any time. If homosexuality can be managed and/or even overcome, it is obviously not innate identity. Too bad I know several people who fit this paradigm much better than the theory of immutable sexual orientation.
History will not judge this insanity well. In the meantime, the price paid will be even more hundred and thousands of people in despair and potentially suicidal because they will find it that much harder to find the help they seek and need. The comparison to other addictions such as drugs is apt – not all people who leave such things find their desires disappear completely, but they are given the tools to be able to live a life that is not self-destructive, as homosexuality generally is. Momentary failures in pursuit of holiness are not life-defining, which could be profoundly good news to many. But the concept of ‘sexual orientation’ cannot co-exist with such things. It tells you that even a lapse is the hole you are stuck in – forever. How dreadful to force this lie on people!
People should be able to live as they want, and not be dictated to what they can and can’t do. It’s at times like this one is motivated to quote back to the activists a slight adjustment to their own catch phrases, “How’s it gonna affect you if one person asks another for help?” or “You don’t want ‘conversion therapy’? Don’t get ‘conversion therapy’!” (Of course, I think that phrase is a deliberate political misnomer and should not be validated.)
For all the rhetorical victims they claim, the hard truth is they don’t really care about people, deep down they just want to justify their own lives. If homosexuality is OK and fixed, then nothing they get up to is problematic, is it? The idea that sexual temptations can often be good to deny is completely foreign to them. But Jesus told us to do precisely that – deny ourselves indulging our desires. As God said to Cain thousands of years ago, “sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” – Gen 4:7

I know personally of an erstwhile gay man who subsequently went “straight” and married a woman.
I personally remain unconvinced that sexual orientation is “innate” and “immutable” in the entire human species. The quasi-religious zeal of LGBTIQ activists for their chosen sexual predilections strongly suggests not a few of them are comfortable with the notion that heterosexual individuals are potentially able to “convert” from being “straight” to some other “mode” of sexuality.
I am inclined to the view that same sex attraction is a result of the brain structure but that homosexual behaviours represent an aberrant choice. The behaviours are learned and what is also learned is the acceptance of the behaviours as normal and I can’t help but feel that part of this process depends on recruiting other same sex attracted people into the same behaviour set. Reparatative therapy is not conversion therapy. The latter suggests that one converts from one sexual orientation to another. The suggestion being that both are natural and biologically formed. Garbage. Reparative therapy is restoring a human being to the default position of the way God created men and women to be naturally attracted to one another. In the beginning God created male and female and told them to go forth and multiply. The attraction here is not just sexual but an entire appreciation and need for the opposite and complementary gender, for femininity and masculinity.
Not all homosexuality is a direct result of rebelling against God as described in Romans. We cannot accuse a four or five year old to understand about idolatry and a rejection of God. From these foundational mistakes on our identity we have a society that – in conjunction with any number and level of rejection of God’s boundaries on sex in pursuit of the love of sin – is emotionally and irrationally motivated to preserve this stupid narrative no matter what. They are slaves to their desires and need to justify themselves. ‘That’s just the way I am!’
So the corrupt in positions of power insist they can deny people the right to self-determination, even when it is not forced and can be walked away from at any time. If homosexuality can be managed and/or even overcome, it is obviously not innate identity. Too bad I know several people who fit this paradigm much better than the theory of immutable sexual orientation.
History will not judge this insanity well. In the meantime, the price paid will be even more hundred and thousands of people in despair and potentially suicidal because they will find it that much harder to find the help they seek and need. The comparison to other addictions such as drugs is apt – not all people who leave such things find their desires disappear completely, but they are given the tools to be able to live a life that is not self-destructive, as homosexuality generally is. Momentary failures in pursuit of holiness are not life-defining, which could be profoundly good news to many. But the concept of ‘sexual orientation’ cannot co-exist with such things. It tells you that even a lapse is the hole you are stuck in – forever. How dreadful to force this lie on people!
People should be able to live as they want, and not be dictated to what they can and can’t do. It’s at times like this one is motivated to quote back to the activists a slight adjustment to their own catch phrases, “How’s it gonna affect you if one person asks another for help?” or “You don’t want ‘conversion therapy’? Don’t get ‘conversion therapy’!” (Of course, I think that phrase is a deliberate political misnomer and should not be validated.)
For all the rhetorical victims they claim, the hard truth is they don’t really care about people, deep down they just want to justify their own lives. If homosexuality is OK and fixed, then nothing they get up to is problematic, is it? The idea that sexual temptations can often be good to deny is completely foreign to them. But Jesus told us to do precisely that – deny ourselves indulging our desires. As God said to Cain thousands of years ago, “sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” – Gen 4:7
God bless those who want to help others out of the pit of despair that sexual sin can bring.

I know personally of an erstwhile gay man who subsequently went “straight” and married a woman.
I personally remain unconvinced that sexual orientation is “innate” and “immutable” in the entire human species. The quasi-religious zeal of LGBTIQ activists for their chosen sexual predilections strongly suggests not a few of them are comfortable with the notion that heterosexual individuals are potentially able to “convert” from being “straight” to some other “mode” of sexuality.
I am inclined to the view that same sex attraction is a result of the brain structure but that homosexual behaviours represent an aberrant choice. The behaviours are learned and what is also learned is the acceptance of the behaviours as normal and I can’t help but feel that part of this process depends on recruiting other same sex attracted people into the same behaviour set. That is the truly sinful aspect IMO and these laws banning any attempt to help people who have been dragged down are part of that sin.

There was a time when the practice of homosexuality was considered abnormal, unnatural, sinful and criminal. But now what it is regarded as abnormal, unnatural, sinful and criminal is being a straight, white, male Christian.
Militant lesbian, Elly Barnes [A1], is a teacher who is grooming children of all ages, on an industrial scale, She is free to say on BBC news channel , “We’re trying to smash heteronormativity …. in the schools and ….the community ……..” and again she said , “In our schools. And what we need to do quite clearly is to smash heteronormativity…” [A2]
Part of her grooming children and leading them astray involved taking children onto the nursery slopes of gay pride parades by getting them march in a mini gay pride near to her school in Stoke Newington [A3], before leading them to the real thing [A4].
Elly Barnes has been allowed to conduct her own “counselling” i.e., breaking down modesty, moral inhibitions and making children feel comfortable with depravity, but on a colossal scale . All her “clients” will end up, as some must surely have done last year, by joining her in London Gay Pride, marching arm in arm with sado – masochists, prostitutes, pornographers, transvestites, transsexuals, the disturbed, deranged, disordered, dysfunctional, depraved, degraded and demon possessed [A5]. The casualties of her programme will soon be in need of Mike Davidson’s help- that is if he is allowed to continue his services.
I first encountered Elly Barnes in November, 2009, at the Pre- launch to the 2010 LGBT History Month at the British Museum [A6] Since then she has been a busy girl. Indeed her appearance has changed over the years to resemble a famous German prison guard, Irma Grese [A7], along with her evangelistic fervour to corrupt children [A8].
“Educate and Celebrate” is an inversion of reparative therapy, whereby, the “heterosexual” disorder of children (which Elly has said she is going “smash”) will be tracked back to their parents who taught them to be homophobic from a very early age. People like Peter Tatchell and Stephen Fry state that children are not born homophobic, they are taught it by their parents. A little boy, like something out of Hitler Youth has a clear and chilling message to his parents [A9].
For all this Ms Barnes has been awarded an OBE by the Queen.
But watching her being awarded an honorary doctorate from Aberdeen University is key to understanding what our children, grandchildren and neighbours’ children have been exposed to for the last decade [A10]. It also shows why Mike Davidson’s work is vital if these children are not going to be lost forever.

One will never ever hear on the BBC or mass media anyone allowed to say, “I am ex-gay, poste gay. Get over it” [A11]. To do so runs the risk of being on the receiving end of hate speech and even death threats from militant gay pressure groups and their “camp” followers .
But the consequences for anyone, such as a counsellor, therapist or pastor found attempting to help someone to be restored to God’s default position are serious. At the moment it merely means the loss of one’s professional accreditation; but there is constant pressure on the government to make it a criminal act, punishable not only with crippling fines but with possible prison sentences . Homosexual Irish, senator and law maker, Fintan Warfield has introduced a bill that would ban therapists and counsellors, like Mike. Under this bill, individuals found guilty of performing conversion therapy on another person could be fined up to 10,000 euros ($12,351) and face up to a year in prison [A12]
We have already seen how in 2008 Gordon Brown attempted to bring in legislation that would have sent someone to prison for up to seven years for even discussing or criticising homosexual behaviour. This clause hangs by a thread [A13]. It appears that the direction of travel between that which is productive and life – giving and that which leads to sterility and death is one way only.
Meanwhile Dominic Davies of Pink Therapy with full accreditation from BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and the Terrance Higgins trust are free to strengthen in their clients all manner of kinky ( his own words), dangerous sexual behaviours [A14]. Apart from listening to the voices of those who have broken free from homosexuality or who are in the process of doing so, we need to listen carefully to voices of those who oppose us [ A15] .

Reparatative therapy is not conversion therapy. The latter suggests that one converts from one sexual orientation to another. The suggestion being that both are natural and biologically formed. Garbage. Reparative therapy is restoring a human being to the default position of the way God created men and women to be naturally attracted to one another. In the beginning God created male and female and told them to go forth and multiply. The attraction here is not just sexual but an entire appreciation and need for the opposite and complementary gender, for femininity and masculinity.
Not all homosexuality is a direct result of rebelling against God as described in Romans. We cannot accuse a four or five year old to understand about idolatry and a rejection of God. As Jesus explained, children can be lead astray by adults. There is a place for therapy and counselling to heal childhood trauma . No one is suggesting that this will make them Christians but at least it will relieve their emotional and mental suffering. Then they need to be led to the Lord as we all do.

I apologise Bill for going off topic on this thread, which is about draconian legislation designed to put in prison anyone who facilitates or is instrumental in enabling someone trapped in queer slavery to escape.
The first link [A11] is the story of the Mayor London, Boris johnson’s removal of Mike Davidson’s bus advert, telling people to get over the reality that some people were ex- gay and no longer gay.
The second link shows Mike Davidson on Irish TV being threatened on one side by a homosexual MP and homosexual Psychologist on the other. The latter says that what we need to do is to listen to the queer academics and scholars like himself.
