Churches Aligned With Evil – Seduced by the Sexual Sirens

We expect those who hate God and hate God’s people to engage in all sorts of evil, and to take pleasure in doing these things. What we do not expect is when churches do the same. But sadly this happens far too often. Churches that should reflect God and his values will often run with the world and its values instead.

This site has documented many examples of this in the past and will continue to do so in the future. But let me highlight two more examples of this that have recently occurred. While these cases happen to involve the Church of England and the Catholic Church, they are not alone in this – plenty of evangelical churches can and do go off the rails in similar fashion.

Both of these cases involve churches getting it wrong big time in areas of sexuality and the like. Instead of staying true to Scripture, these churches and church schools have simply bought into the radical sexual agendas. The first episode comes from a church in the UK. Let me offer some quotes from a lengthy report on this:

A vicar has resigned following a bitter dispute with his bishop over the way a Church of England school handled an eight-year-old pupil’s plan to change gender. The Reverend John Parker, a governor at the school, supported the boy’s wish to become a girl but said he was silenced when he raised concerns that parents and pupils would be kept in the dark. He also feared that staff and governors had been misled by the transgender lobby group Mermaids, which had been invited in to advise the school.

After his worries were dismissed by the bishop, Mr Parker quit the church where he had been a vicar for 14 years, and also the school after seven years as governor. In an emotive resignation letter to his bishop, Mr Parker wrote of his fear that children were being ‘sacrificed on the altar of trans ideology’, even in Church schools. Mr Parker said last night: ‘I was basically told by my bishop that if I wished to faithfully follow the teachings of the Bible then I was no longer welcome in the Church. It felt very much like I was being silenced by the Church and the school.’

The dispute comes amid growing controversy over the number of children now choosing to change gender. Mr Parker, 49, was told in March that an eight-year-old pupil would be transitioning from a boy to a girl at the primary school in an Essex village. The Mail on Sunday is not naming the school to protect the privacy of the pupils. He raised concerns that the school had no formal policy on how staff should deal with a child who wanted to change gender.

There was no guidance to cover matters such as whether the student would be allowed to use the girls’ toilets or share changing rooms and accommodation with female pupils during trips away. Mr Parker was equally keen to receive assurances that other pupils and parents would be told about the student’s transition so they could be prepared. He asked for evidence that the child had seen a psychologist or a medical professional to ensure that the desire to live as a girl was not being driven by the parents – but his request was dismissed.

The vicar also questioned whether any ‘pastoral provisions’ had been made for Christian parents and children who might be confused about what was going on at the school. But Mr Parker said when he put these points to the head teacher at a meeting, she dismissed them as merely being his ‘personal views’.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7070773/Vicar-resigns-schools-plan-eight-year-old-pupils-sex-change-secret-parents.html

Except for the bit about him agreeing to the transition in the first place, everything else about the vicar I quite like. He has stood up against the trans juggernaut because he is rightly concerned about the well-being of the children. And he is also rightly concerned to align himself with God and his values. But for daring to stand on biblical truth, he is now out of a job.

Incredibly, he had even attended a two-hour presentation by the Mermaids. He was staggered by the amount of false and misleading material that was presented there. The report continues:

Many of the points made in the lecture – including sections on the science of biological sex – were simply wrong, contends Mr Parker, who studied biology at Oxford. At the end of the session, which was recorded by Mr Parker, those who attended were told they could ask questions. But when the vicar politely attempted to query what he considered to be legal and scientific falsehoods, he was aggressively shut down.

‘The presentation was so full of factual inaccuracies,’ he said. ‘I am an Oxford biologist by background so I was gobsmacked by what was being said from a biological perspective. I also knew some of the legalities of the situation and knew that the whole governing body and staff were being misled.’ After gently requesting if he could pass on some literature to staff which contained ‘alternative’ factual information, he received the sharp reply from the head teacher: ‘No, I don’t think so, John. It’s training today, it’s not time to share your viewpoints.’

When he vainly tried to defend himself by saying that it was not an opinion he wanted to share but scientific facts, he was again abruptly cut off by the head teacher. The Mermaids instructor barked: ‘My job is to deliver training. I have done that. I don’t have to listen.’ The vicar was so shaken by the tense exchange that he broke down in tears afterwards. ‘From a Christian point of view, it went against everything, not just in terms of speaking the truth, but also allowing freedom of speech and freedom of discussion and disagreement.’

Mr Parker said this upsetting incident was the final straw and followed his increasing disillusionment with the Church of England’s ‘unquestioning acceptance of a particular kind of politically correct transgender ideology’. Last December, the Church issued new pastoral guidance encouraging ministers to create new baptism-style ceremonies for transgender people.

‘I have felt growing disquiet about the intolerance to holding different views within the Church,’ he said. ‘But when I raised my worries with bishops about the direction the Church was moving, I was told that if I didn’t accept their approach, I could leave.’ At the end of April, Mr Parker informed the primary school that he would be resigning as governor with immediate effect.

Well done John Parker for standing strong, while so many “Christians” around you have completely capitulated to the spurious and militant trans activism. You are a champion, and I hope you find a new place of employment soon – one that is true to God and Scripture.

My second example is no better, and involves some Catholic schools in Brisbane which are now pushing feminist foolishness, all in the guise of “inclusion”. Says one report:

Catholic schoolgirls are being taught that God is gender-neutral and banned from using the words ‘Lord’, ‘Father’ and ‘Son’ in prayers. A number of elite Catholic schools in Brisbane are making moves to teach their students to use inclusive language when referring to God.

Top schools including All Hallows, Stuartholme, Loreto College and Stuartholme School are leading a push towards a feminist interpretation of the Christian Bible. Students at Stuartholme School in Brisbane’s inner-city, which charges upwards of $40,000 a year, are taught to use the word ‘Godself’ instead of ‘himself’.

‘As we believe God is neither male or female, Stuartholme tries to use gender-neutral terms in prayers … so that our community deepens their understanding of who God is for them, how God reveals Godself through creation, our relationships with others and the person of Jesus,’ a spokeswoman told The Sunday Mail.

Loreto College in Coorparoo has taken the word ‘Lord’ from their prayers as it is a ‘male term’. The school’s principal Kim Wickham said prayers written for use within the college didn’t assign God a gender.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7094893/Catholic-schoolgirls-taught-God-gender-neutral.html

Good grief. ‘Godself’ instead of ‘himself’? Are these guys for real? And no more Father God and no more Jesus the Son? Really? And we gotta ditch ‘Lord’ as well? Why not just throw out the Bible entirely and grab a copy of the latest tome by some militant feminist or some radical gender bender activist?

The truth is, God already has revealed HIMself to us in HIS word. There we have the self-revelation of God: one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That is how God has chosen to reveal HIMself, and that is how we should think and speak about God – always.

As to God being neither male or female, that is true, but it is not the last word on the matter. As I wrote in an earlier piece:

How has God chosen to reveal himself to us? That is the critical issue here. And simply put, overwhelmingly in the self-revelation of God we find him being revealed in masculine terms with masculine names and with masculine imagery.

The fact is, the names for God as found in both the Old and the New Testaments are all masculine in gender. Significantly, God is never addressed as Mother in Scripture. A constant theme is the fatherhood of God, and – in the NT – the sonship of Christ.

In addition to all the passages referring to God’s various roles or activities in male terminology (king, warrior, groom, prince, priest, etc), there are plenty of passages that clearly refer to him as a father….

All up we have hundreds of times in the Bible where God is mentioned with masculine names and with masculine pronouns. That is how God chose to reveal himself to us, and we should take this seriously. But it is also true that we sometimes have feminine imagery used in the Bible to describe God….

So God can be seen as having feminine characteristics at times, but overwhelmingly the masculine presentation is given us. As I said, God as such is genderless, but when he wants to convey real information about who he is, the masculine is the predominant theme.

All that these trendy churchians in Brisbane have done is say ‘no’ to God and his self-revelation, and say ‘yes’ to every silly, trendy new fad the world has to offer us. If that is what they prefer doing, fine, but then they need to stop pretending they are somehow being faithful to God and HIS word.

We must pray that our churches and church schools stay true to the living God and his authoritative word, and not simply side with every dumb activist cause that rolls along. Staying onside with God always means saying no to the world.

And it means steadfastly resisting the new sexual sirens. Lord have mercy on your people.

  1. Greetings Bill, thank you for your warning article on this. We all need to hear about their diabolical plan to destroy our young children. I read an article last week where their goal as soon as a baby is born to either castrate the baby boy and also mutilate the girl baby as in Shir-ea law. Earlier tonight I sent out a lot of emails warning people that if we don’t fight back not just through prayer but protesting, voting, phone calls, etc. If we don’t fight we are going to lose millions of babies in our countries to this horrible torture and destroy their lives forever. Roe vs Wade I believe is going to be overturned in America so these Frankensteins need a new cash cow and this is it. We can all fight this and win and save our babies and grand babies. Sometimes I just sit in front of my computer and read and weep for these little ones being brought into this godless world. Then I get mad as hell and determined this is not going to spread. I am so tired of the silence in organized religion.

Lord, Jesus woe be to any Christian who stays silent on this evil.

  2. Louise Harris, do have a link to that article or can you tell us who wrote it? No-one would castrate all new born boys because that would mean no children in the future. As for female genital mutilation, I don’t think that is part of Sharia law but a cultural practice in some countries, especially in African countries where it is practised by Christians as well. It is a centuries old cultural practice. I think you may have confused the word castration with circumcision. Circumcision is practised by Jews and Muslims and by Christians in mainly English speaking countries. Not by Christians in Europe because it has traditional been seen as a Jewish thing.

  3. Hi Bill.
The far left& the #Me too movement is at it again! Not satisfied with having won the right in the “Gay Marriage saga”! It has now turned it’s attention on the new WORD OF THE DAY which is”GENDER NEUTRALITY”.
We were fore warned that once their 1st goal was archived, that there would be a further sting in the tail.
Oh well! The write up on the Sunday Mail about the Catholic schoolgirls in Elite Catholic schools proves my point. What’s next on their agendas?
They seem to forget that in the books of the bible GOD is referred to as father to the people of Israel Abba: Yahweh; Elohim; Adonai & many more.
(Father, God, God mighty creator; lord & master)
With the new testament all of the above are also used/referred to. But! it was Jesus THE Christ that said that when praying to God that we should call him as “OUR FATHER” not our creator or by any other name.
These people with their PC should not forget that man was made in GOD’s own image and that woman was made from a bone out of that same man.
So if one believes in the teaching of the Holy Bible? Then one should pull their heads in and follow the script & abide with it.
Shalom I say on to you all.

  4. Hi Bill – can you do an article about Netflix, Disney supporting abortion and how Christians need to start boycotting these heinous media organizations. It worked for slave sugar way back. Blessings.

  5. Our Lord, to sort use the form of words that did prevail in Catholic schools, is Masculine because, as Saviour and Redeemer, He is the active party and we, the Church, are the passive party who receive Him into our hearts and minds, so the Church is Feminine. He is standing at the door waiting to come in.

Feminists and the Gender Fluid deny this basic Reality.

  6. To Louise Bingen: The name of the web site exposing what LGBT & medicine has planned for newborns is:

Please check this out. Just when we think it can’t get worse. If Christians remain silent on this we will lose 100’s of millions of innocent children to this evil.

Thank you for taking the time to check these out.

  7. Bill and Warren, I see that these radical activists are hypocritical. They refuse to use God’s PREFERRED pronouns, whilst demanding that the rest of us do exactly that for trans-identifiers. They have ASSUMED God’s gender.

  8. I can give you some details of the Anglican churches which I think is what you describe as The Church of England Mr M. They have either moved to a liberal Pentecostal cafe type church. I know this as my church has had the older members of such churches visit us. The Anglican church sacrificed those life long saints for the hipster types. They are disregarding those saints like garbage often. Alternatively, they operate as a high church where the choir outnumber the congregation, this would be a more acceptable form of worship then cafe church for me, however, the 7-minute sermon isn’t going to do it for me.

I think it would be correct to say that such churches are in the final death throws. They have, at their head, those who have an agenda and not a God sadly. I think The Reverend John Parker was indeed principled, and I would welcome him into my church (I don’t own my church I just think I do lol), but I would also ask him why did he leave it so long to point out the errors. There should have been a line that was not to be crossed, and that line wasn’t at that school, it was 20 or more years back.

It didn’t escape my notice that if the CofE had values and quality men, it wouldn’t have been the case The Reverend John Parker complained to his Bishop, The Reverend John Parker should have been the bishop, and the bishop should have been a liberal politician.

I don’t think there is any comeback for the CofE since the church is too fractured and it has too many unbiblical minds at every level. The wider church needs to keep the corpse of the CofE whole and let it die away in its splendid and beautiful buildings, after all, such buildings will make amazing mosks. We must resist the temptation to pander to the world and if you are so tempted to do so, visit a CofE church near you for a coffee on a Sunday morning or maybe experience high church with low biblical teaching, and ask is this really what you want.

Men, you have got to lead with strength and courage. Ladies, do as you are told. If the men think that is asking too much of him, and the ladies think it’s asking too little, there is an ideal church for you where you can sip coffee, and tell the other liberals how unfair life is.

  9. “Godself” – really? A five year old can ‘choose’ his/her/its gender, but the Almighty, the Creator and sustainer of the universe and all beings within cannot do this? Blatant discrimination. Will God be sacked by Rugby Australia too?

  10. Hello Bill, thank you for keeping us up to date.
On God’s preferred pronouns, and His revealed Word- I have been wondering if you have an article (or more) on acceptable, biblical worship?
Sarah’s above comment also sparked the thought when she mentioned ‘cafe church’.
God gives much scriptural direction as to His worship, and I am confused by the ‘come as you are, do as you please’ approach to modern services.
I know where many verses are in the Bible on worship of course, but am not sure about historical origins/traditions of order of service etc.
Or perhaps you know of a book that could help inform me?

  11. Thanks Lauren. I am not sure if I have written much on worship as such. But here is a brief bibliography featuring some helpful volumes on the topic:

Basden, Paul, ed., Exploring the Worship Spectrum: Six Views. Zondervan, 2004.
Best, Harold, Unceasing Worship: Biblical Perspectives on Worship and the Arts. IVP, 2003.
Carson, D. A., ed., Worship by the Book. Zondervan, 2002.
Chapell, Bryon, Christ-Centered Worship. Baker, 2009.
Frame, John, Worship In Spirit and Truth. P&R, 1996.
Peterson, Eugene, Engaging With God: A Biblical Theology of Worship. IVP, 2002.

  12. If you ever wonder whats Satan up to now, Bill has just given us a ream of evidence that he is very active and in very devious ways. You’ve got to wonder also, supposedly why well educated, intelligent, commonsense individuals lose their marbles over PC extremism.
It seems they have thrown caution to the wind. They may not realize it now, they may not have even considered the consequences, but they have made our God of Heaven and Earth of no account. Shame. Shame.

  13. Dear Bill, I do not want yto usurp your authority or site, l found your 24.4.2019 article on Sproul & the Holiness of God a good place to start on worship. If Lauren has not read that its worth reading.
    Cheers Mark Bryant

  14. Hello Bill
Here is a link to an excellent You-Tube video discussing in a down-to-earth way the folly of the trans-gender nonsense.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msTGBJpfULE

Candace Owens, along with Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, are two of the most impressive young conservatives in the public sphere at the moment, in my opinion. Our Sarah Clark will likely be up there with them in the not too distant future.

Sarah, if you read this, you might like to check out Turning Point UK – if you haven’t already – to see if it is something you may be inspired to be involved with.

  15. When “denials” are characterised as “affirmations”, human language is surely fast approaching a hitherto unanticipated man-made “Babel event”… When will language and the realities which it purports to describe be finally fully discombobulated into a “primordial soup” of meaningless noises and other entities of equally no-longer describable attributes? The crowning achievements of Post-Modern deconstructionism will surpass even the use of loincloths for turbans as a fervent embracement of the bizarre as the new “normal”…

  16. In an interesting parallel to sections 1 & 2 of this article: https://legalinsurrection.com/2019/06/prof-warns-children-especially-susceptible-to-transgender-ideology/.

Apparently a psych professor is disputing that children understand the concept of gender identity, and is warning that young children are especially vulnerable to trans indoctrination – 6 year olds think changing your clothes changes your sex. To them gender is about the stereotype you fall into not about reality\actual biology. Changing appearance means changing the reality, and this change in reality is always true for everyone. They also tend to insist that what they believe to be true is and always has been what they thought – a tad 1984ish, and also possible a tad trans ideologyish.

Her full article may be found here: https://medium.com/@katieja/young-children-reality-sex-and-gender-3421f4f165f1?fbclid=IwAR1Uu_YXWTQko955aWic8TxwZ-bsV2O2too4vfQYZM5rmLZwumgeXPRhNks

Regarding pronouns, that may partially be a matter of language. In Chinese (Mandarin) he\she\it is all pronounced t?. In written form however he\generic is ?, she is ?, it is ?, and there’s also it (animal) ?, and it (divine) ?. As far as I’m aware the Chinese Union Version (think KJV/NIV) use ? (he) rather than ? (it divine) but I’m not quite sure why. On the other hand those abandoning Lord, Father, Son etc are simply rejecting Scripture. Such terms are not there to define God’s gender but to reflect His nature – and they are His terms. As Mark Callaghan notes upthread, if humans can choose their own gender in defiance of reality then why can’t God choose to reveal Himself in gendered terms? Hmm random thought, how do feminist fundamentalists explain or reinterpret the Bride of Christ? 🙂

  17. Gender fluidity in humans occurs in the brain rather than the sexual organs. Males and females are imprinted with their respective XX or XY chromosomes and their complementary anatomy is designed for mutual attraction so that, within the web of life, human reproduction can be perpetuated and extinction avoided. About 1.7% of population is thought to be inter-sex, people who are born that way. There’s going to be an almighty row when children eventually regret the interventions and wonder why “grown-ups” didn’t stop the mutilation of the anatomy they were born with. The fact that this subversive teaching was enforced by a group called The Mermaids is a give-away: the mermaid is the ancient symbol of the deathly sirens who lured sailors to death on the rocks; or the twin tailed mermaid, (the Starbuck’s logo) a sexually wanton demon who steals new born babies in the night. The indoctrination of this false narrative is an evil assault on young children by modern day sirens and is a mockery.

  18. Hi Mr Williams, Turning Point came to the UK recently I was hoping to go to one of their events, but my closest location they were at was a university and students of the uni had the first refusal of tickets. My dad would have insisted on an adult went with me so I would have had to get two tickets and I couldn’t even get one.

I think there is a wide gap between turning point, Uk and turning point, USA.

The video I viewed had a Brit, maybe two, on stage and the female was very poor indeed. she basically said that turning point UK didn’t have opinions on abortion. Weak ineffectual time waster, she needs to go, otherwise, Turning Point UK will have those like me in the audience actively against them. it’s important to take out the baby slayers even if they claim to be on our side.

I watch Candace on the PragerU channel, as she is a role model for girls our age as is Lauren Southern who has decided to take time out for the foreseeable future, which is good as she may be realising she needs to marry soon if she wants more than two children.

I would like to be involved in something like Turning Point as long as it didn’t interfere with me getting married and having a family. I would more likely go into politics as I think you could have more impact in a shorter time, not to mention it looks like turning point UK may have an infection of liberals perhaps and if they did someone like me would be far too abrasive to even be considered.

  19. This is getting a little off topic but regarding plans to marry and have a family, is it worth pointing out that plans we as humans make for ourselves can differ substantially to those God makes? A female missionary friend of mine for instance wasn’t interested in marriage – if it happened it happened, and she had a list of things she wasn’t really interested in – including marrying a local. God has a sense of humour! He introduced her to a chap that ticked most of the I DON’T WANT boxes. They were friends for a while before the chap thought about marriage and asking her. She had to seriously think through everything but they’ve been married a wee while now. Another female missionary I’ve read about did want a husband, however for whatever reason God never provided one – statistically there’s more Christian women than Christian men. Exacerbating the situation, I know a number of guys that would (probably) like to marry but almost certainly never will – too old, too unsuitable etc. Marriage is a wonderful thing, and it’s fine to hope for, just not something that we should cling to too hard lest it lead us away from God.

  20. Hello Andrew,
Interesting comment about “more Christian women than Christian men” – I’ve also heard that but am yet to see proof (eg. never-married men easily outnumber never-married women at the church I’m at).
I’m in my 40’s and have always been single, for a number of years I’ve held the view of “are there even any single nice ladies (let alone Christian) around my age out there, and if so, where?”. If such Christian women exist, it seems like a case of ‘never the twain shall meet’.

At the same time, the way women denigrate men means I’m cautious about trusting women. Add to that the way younger women seem to be so self-centred these days.

My parents have just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary; one wonders how many getting married these days will be able to do the same?

    Regards,
    John

  21. Please help — my daughter, a PK from a conservative Christian homeschooling family (but now part of a “progressive” church)
told us she is moving in with her boyfriend. She loves Jesus, but believes there are so many Bible passages that are interpreted in many ways and that we do not apply literally (slavery, head covering, women silent in church…); that sexual immorality applies to promiscuity not a committed relationship… I need a good response please. TIA

  22. Thanks Karen. This is so sad to hear, and I really do feel for you. But sadly there would be many others like her. She is of course just using her shoddy “understanding” of Scripture to make excuses for her sin. This happens all the time as we know. The simple truth is, sexual faithfulness in marriage and abstinence outside of it is the clear biblical norm.

Since sexual unfaithfulness is so often used as a picture of Israel’s sin against Yahweh in the Old Testament, just image him saying: “Yes my people, you can go right ahead and worship other gods – as long as it’s a committed, long-term relationship with just one false god. That is just peachy. But you cannot have a lot of short flings with a bunch of pagan gods. That is a no-no.”

And if these progressives who no longer believe the Bible respond by saying that this is from the Old Testament, and therefore not relevant, we simply remind them that the very same imagery is used in the New Testament. For example, Revelation 19:2 (as but one example) speaks of God who “has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and he has avenged on her the blood of his servants.” The same term is referred to here, and God does NOT approve of it.

And lest this trendy church tries to tell us that Jesus is just a tree-hugging hippy who is into a vague and amorphous “love” that accepts everyone and everything, we need to remind the false shepherds there that God is praised here for bringing judgment on the unrepentant sinners and evil nations. Indeed, it is none other than Jesus who is doing the judgment. Simply read a bit further on in Revelation 19 – verses 11-16:

“Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems; and he has a name inscribed which no one knows but himself. He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, followed him on white horses. From his mouth issues a sharp sword with which to smite the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron; he will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, King of kings and Lord of lords.”

Moreover, when we have a verse such as 1 Corinthians 6:18 which commands us to “flee fornication,” (or “flee sexual immorality”), there is no hint at all of this meaning only short-term sexual sin, and that long-term committed sexual sin is just fine. Talk about reading into the text something that is just not there. Talk about making cheap excuses for sin.

Plenty of other verses can be appealed to here. Just four more:

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are plain: fornication, impurity, licentiousness…

Ephesians 5:3 But fornication and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is fitting among saints

1 Thessalonians 4:3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

Unfortunately, when people want to sin, any excuse will do, and the Bible will be the first thing they attack and seek to discredit. So the problem goes further than simply running with lousy biblical interpretation. And if this “church” is teaching these blatant falsehoods and promoting all this sin, then your daughter needs to flee from there as much as she needs to flee from her sexual sin.

Lastly, it may be hard to hear this or say this, but we know that if a person is living in known deliberate defiance of God and his commands, then it cannot be the case that they love Jesus. Jesus himself repeatedly made this crystal clear. Consider five passages from the gospel of John:

John 14:15 If you love me, you will obey what I command.

John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.

John 14:23 Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”

John 15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

John 15:14 You are my friends if you do what I command.

And so many other gospel passages say the same thing:

Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 12:50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.

Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?”

Luke 11:28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

So this is all rather serious business as you full well know. It is hoped that she will realise this as well. Whether she is just really deceived here, or in fact does know the truth but is ignoring it, she needs to make a choice. Which does she love more: Jesus, or her sin? She cannot love both of course. It is one or the other. She needs to make a choice.

It is always tough when a family member or loved one turns away from the faith and decides that sin is preferred over obedience and faithfulness. That is always so very painful to go through. But I will keep you folks in prayer. And hopefully other readers here will do just the same. Bless you.
