Think about the formerly great Great Britain. The home of the Magna Carta. The place where people like William Wilberforce stood strong in Parliament for the abolition of slavery. The home of powerful Christian preachers such as Charles Spurgeon. Today the UK is a shadow of its former self.
But some might object, saying there is plenty of free speech to be found there. OK, I stand corrected – there most certainly is, but only of a certain kind. Only on certain topics and causes. You basically have complete and unfettered freedom of speech in the UK if you want to promote and celebrate
-homosexuality, transgenderism and the like
-abortion on demand with no questions asked
-Islam and all things Muslim
In these and other areas you are free to speak openly and without fear. But dare to criticize any of these matters and you will find out real quick just how far free speech goes in that land. Here I want to offer a broadbrush look at these issues and then present a specific case of it.
UK going down the tubes
Robert W Malone recently shared a speech by Peter Mcilvenna called “The Assault on Freedom in the UK and Europe, and a Warning for the United States.” Here is part of that piece. He begins:

I want to major on Censorship, which is on many of our radars, but Surveillance and Islam are also serious threats to our freedoms and yet they are not getting the attention they need to receive.
Censorship
Censorship is the enemy of Free speech and Privacy and seeks to control every area of our lives.
We find ourselves in a new era of totalitarianism, characterized by the words that can be uttered.
Hate Speech is a concept that has been forced on us under two guises:
-Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
-Multiculturalism
Cultural Marxism has taken hold of our institutions and removed truth as the standard and replaced it with subjective thought.
The right to offend is no longer a right but a threat to the new world order.
Dictates are to be followed and not questioned or discussed.
Just look at the Covid Tyranny. Divide and Conquer was used to full effect. Them and us. The Vaxed and the Unvaxed. Fear is a very powerful motivator. And people are sheep-like. They want to be part of the crowd. To be popular. But I believe the rise of MAGA is giving new confidence and boldness to ordinary Americans, and in fact citizens across the world, to speak up and challenge the consensus.
We see how blind obedience is rewarded with ….well yes….a better social credit score.
And this blends into surveillance.

British authorities arrested more than 1,000 people following a week of riots sparked by anger over uncontrolled immigration. Of course any violence must be prosecuted. We cannot accept or tolerate or promote lawless behaviour. But many protests were peaceful and many people were arrested over facebook posts. In fact now in the UK we have 30 arrests a day for hurty words online.
And to make room for all these new prisoners the left wing UK government announced a prisoner release programme called Operation Early Dawn. Its just like Jesus and Barabbas! Up to 5000 prisoners are being released early to free up space for all these keyboard warriors.
In the UK we have seen sentencing of 3 years for Publishing online material “intended to stir racial hatred”.
And the speed of sentencing? In 48 hours!
I am involved with a legal case getting compensation for a Grooming Gang Survivor from her rapist. These are the Muslim family Rape Gangs that have terrorised white English girls all across England for 50 years with impunity. We now have over 450 people who have been jailed for rape and sex trafficking from 80+ trials in 40 towns. A left wing MP, Sarah Champion, in an interview a few years ago said that up to 1 million girls have been affected by this. One of the biggest stains in English history. The police and courts have actively collapsed cases and often arrested the girls for prostitution and arrested the fathers for public order offences when they complained. The police lost so much footage of video interviews with these girls. And yet the concern from successive governments was people exposing these heinous crimes. These individuals like Tommy Robinson were attacked and targeted by the state. Much easier to silence dissent than to fix a problem like Muslim rape gangs operating in every major town in the UK.
For our legal case to get financial compensation from the already charged and sentenced rapist it has taken 4 years so far and we wait 5 or 6 months between court rulings.
Yet the British legal system has been able to lock up facebook and X users in 48 hours for unacceptable speech. 48 hours! So it takes 5 years for compensation from a rapist for their victim but 2 days for hurty words online.
At long last we are now going to have a public inquiry into these rape gangs. Rupert Lowe MP raised half a million pounds in a few days for this and Elon Musk has been reposting it.
What have I learned from the unprecedented clampdown by this new far left British government over the last 6 weeks?
Those in power are terrified of people who speak the truth.
Those in power are terrified of the reach and lack of control on social media
Those in power will not tolerate views or comments that they have deemed incorrect. Only Newspeak will be accepted.
Elon Musk has been the main opposition to the British Government (Nigel Farage has now taken on some of this role with the spectacular rise of ReformUK political party).
Those arrested and charged have often received little or extremely poor legal advice. No jury. Just selected magistrates
This government is attempting to terrify and silence us through outrageous show trials and ridiculous punitive sentencing.
If we had time we could play a word game where I could give you a word and you could tell me the connected word that cannot be mentioned.
If I said Islam then you could not say death cult. You must say peace.
or Transgender + mental health. You must say normal
or abortion + murder. You must say health care
or vax + damage. Then, you must say safe and effective
We saw the thin end of the wedge during covid tyranny. We at Hearts of Oak had our first YouTube strike because a Swedish journalist discussed the importance of vitamin D and sunshine in relation to health and combatting covid back in 2020. That was medical misinformation!
With these new hate speech legislations it’s all to do with offence. Anything we say could cause offence to someone somewhere in the world. If one person in 8 billion is offended then it’s a hate crime. Or if someone believes that someone may be affected then it’s hate speech.

David who? David Skinner is a Christian, an octogenarian, and a pro-life and pro-family activist from Bournemouth. He has been a champion warrior for decades now. I happen to know David, and I have spent time with him in the UK. A former schoolteacher, he could easily be enjoying a cushy life of ease in retirement. But he continues to stand up for the unborn and for God’s designs for marriage and family.
And for daring to do that, he keeps finding himself being hounded by the authorities, going to numerous court hearings, and paying a big price for standing up for what is right. In his recent emails to supporters, he has discussed his most recent run-in with the powers that be:
I am eighty years of age and have no criminal record and yet on the 1st May, I was summarily tried, found guilty and fined £3,840 in the criminal court of Poole Magistrates, for reporting to Dorset Police, via email, the mass murder of unborn babies in the local abortion clinic in Bournemouth.
Ten times I have been summoned to court. This included a trial on the 23rd October which was aborted because there were too many on the court list and the Magistrate didn’t feel qualified – supposedly with the complexities of the case….
In 1829 in an era when everyone understood and shared the same Biblical truth, values and morality, restraining us all from fallen human nature: unbridled greed; lust; ambition; hatred and pride, the people consented for Robert Peele to create the police force and his nine Peelian Principles of Policing. But, today, in the absence of any Christian consensus, human nature is free to drive a coach and horses through his principles and our ancient Constitution – especially the Magna Carta.
There can be no justice, or truth in our courts, when in place of equity impartiality and fairness, feminist and LGBT ideology and politics rule and reign.

It appears that the court system can summon a person as many times as they wish, waste their whole day, and then tell them to go away and return and go through the whole punishing process again…and again. This punishment includes the cost of petrol and all-day parking fees. There is no redress for this treatment, for those who run the system do it with impunity. The Courts are shambolic and a disgrace.
Isaiah 59:14: “Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed.”

Thursday, 1st May at Poole Magistrates I was summarily tried, found guilty and fined £3,840 in the criminal court of Poole Magistrates, for reporting via email [1] (WARNING DISTURBING IMAGES) to Dorset Police and asking them to investigate the mass murder of unborn babies in the local abortion clinic in Bournemouth. I am eighty years of age, have no criminal record and in the words of the sentencing judge have profound Christian beliefs, which in Britain today is tantamount to being classed as a terrorist and a threat to public safety and community wellbeing.
Two LGBTQ employees of the Police, Temporary Inspector Fern Graham 2239 and Yvonne Fenwick, the Governance and communication officer for David Sidwick, took personal offence at my report. And under the authority of the Dorset Chief Constable Amanda Pearson and the Crown Prosecution Service were able to charge me with breaching ‘The Malicious Communications Act 1988. But because no evidence could be found of any intention on my part to cause distress or harm, this charge was replaced with breaching Section 127 Electronic Communications Act which criminalizes anyone for merely hurting the feelings of an LGBTQ person, making them confused and frightened [2]
Yvonne Fenwick was apparently so frightened of me that she allowed to appear in court behind a curtain shielding her from seeing her and my seeing her. She and Fern Graham (now a humble sergeant) were handed a box of Kleenex tissues to staunch their tears. The whole court scene was sheer pantomime.
Reporting crime has now become a crime itself, if it is practiced or endorsed by the police themselves.
• To show to the police film and images as evidence of the abomination of killing a child in the womb is now a hate crime
• To show to the police film and images of the disorder, depravity, hatred, violence and militant rebellion of the LGBTQs against God’s laws exhibited every year by the LGBTQs, who display their goods and services in the annual Gay Pride Parades taking part in over a hundred cities and town throughout the United Kingdom is now a hate crime
• To show to the police film and images that expose the agenda of the Gay Liberation Front that they themselves are proud to shout from the roof tops. The agenda is to destroy the family and the church; subvert and smash the barriers standing in the way of LGBTQ rights; smash heteronormativity in the schools, the community and the nation and to corrupting and degrade children as soon as they enter nursery school with LGBTQ ideology so that they can be used by them for their own purposes and pleasure)
“I shall never complain to the police again”. We see history repeating itself with what happened in Germany in 1933 [3]
However, we are appealing to have the case reheard in Bournemouth Crown Court with a judge and jury and if this fails we are prepared to take it to the highest court in Europe This of course will incur more costs but if enough people are willing to make a small or large financial contribution this in itself will encourage ordinary people to become involved rather than remain as passive bystanders.

I regret to say Susan that the executors overseeing the rotting carcass of Britain have been the royal family and the Church of England, of which the former Queen and now the present King is the Supreme Head.
Apart from reneging on her Coronation Oath of 1953, Queen Elizabeth II seemed to forget what she had said in her first televised Christmas message to the nation in 1957 when she said,
“it is not the new inventions which are the difficulty. The trouble is caused by unthinking people who carelessly throw away ageless ideals as if they were old and outworn machinery.
They would have religion thrown aside, morality in personal and public life made meaningless, honesty counted as foolishness and self-interest set up in place of self-restraint.
At this critical moment in our history we will certainly lose the trust and respect of the world if we just abandon those fundamental principles which guided the men and women who built the greatness of this country and Commonwealth.
Today we need a special kind of courage, not the kind needed in battle but a kind which makes us stand up for everything that we know is right, everything that is true and honest. We need the kind of courage that can withstand the subtle corruption of the cynics so that we can show the world that we are not afraid of the future.
I was welcomed as head of the Commonwealth and as your representative. These nations are our friends largely because we’ve always tried to do our best to be honest and kindly and because we have tried to stand up for what we believe to be right”.[1]

A few months later Tuesday June 4th whilst many of us were praying outside the House of Lords against the passing of the same sex marriage bill, behind us inside Westminster Abbey, the Queen was celebrating the 60th anniversary of her Coronation in 1953. Mercifully the Archbishop of Canterbury did not remind her of her Coronation Oath, but he did remind her of the sword presented to on that occasion.
“With this sword do justice, stop the growth of iniquity, protect the holy Church of God,
help and defend widows and orphans, restore the things that are gone to decay, maintain the things that are restored, punish and reform what is amiss, and confirm what is in good order:
that doing these things you may be glorious in all virtue; and so faithfully serve our Lord Jesus Christ in this life, that you may reign for ever with him
in the life which is to come …….”
By the look on her face on hearing these words her she appeared to shrug them off [4]
But it was all forgotten a few weeks later when she pocketed a quarter of a million pounds with her horse winning the Gold Cup at Ascot [5] for her real passion was horse racing[6].
I am afraid I shall always remember her as the Rainbow or Kaleidoscope Queen who gave her royal assent to the idolatry of wickedness of same sex marriage one year later in 2014 [7].

Just when you think things can’t get any worse, events seem to defy all expectation … and they do. After the UK’s hard-fought separation from Europe, for instance, Keir Starmer appears to have engineered an agreement to make us once again subject to EU rules, only this time minus the voting rights that previously allowed us a say in what those rules should be. What Europe has contributed to this so-called agreement seems moot, but, at the very least, the UK now has some very unhappy fisherman, who see Starmer’s handing over of fishing rights in British waters for the next twelve years as a major betrayal. Which it unquestionably is.
At the same time, the nation’s insane drive to celebrate death as the ultimate act of compassion continues apace, with return of the Leadbeater Bill to legalise assisted suicide back in the House of Commons last week for its third reading. The Bill’s so-called safeguards, guaranteeing protection against coercive abuse, were exposed weeks ago as administratively unworkable – worse, as pie in the sky. Yet here we are again, with the Bill’s sponsor, Kim Leadbeater, still claiming that the safeguards are the safest in the world. News flash: across the world, wherever assisted suicide and/or euthanasia has been allowed, its scope has always radically and dramatically increased. There are no ‘safeguards’ incorporated in the Bill that can guard against this.
Number three, STI rates in the UK are now at record levels, with 401,800 infections recorded for 2023, representing a 5% rise over the previous year. We wait to see what the figures for 2024 will show! But of particular interest, rates of infection for 2023 showed an 8% increase in gonorrhoea, and a 9% increase in syphilis over the previous year. This is a rise that has been fuelled, without doubt, by the normalisation of promiscuity in our culture, made infinitely worse by the promotion of sexual experimentation to children, with has resulted in turn in the highest number of infections for 2023 being amongst young people aged 15 to 24.
It surely doesn’t take a genius to see that sex education policy has been hurtling, like an out-of-control train, down the wrong track and one would have thought that, at the very least, the latest figures would have provoked an urgent rethink, prompting restraint. But not a bit of it! Instead, the NHS has now proudly announced that it is to trial the World’s first ever gonorrhoea vaccine, in the hopes that this will reverse the soaring number of infections. So, there’s a relief for young people and those favouring a sexually adventurous lifestyle. If the vaccine works – albeit with only a 30% to 40% predicted chance of success – they can carry on regardless, safe in the knowledge that sex with anyone – whenever, wherever and with whomsoever they want – really is a human right!
Add to all this the soaring levels of knife crime, the ever-rising death rates from drug abuse, the increasing risk of financial collapse, and ever-constant threat of terrorism from those hostile to our nation and values, and the outlook overall for the UK doesn’t seem too cheerful. On our present trajectory, in fact, we seem to be heading for the rocks, and yet still the Government and those in authority refuse to alter course and tackle the problems at source. Still they refuse to uphold the values on which our nation has been built, and which, when followed, made us strong … Still, they reject God.
The sad, and perhaps frightening, truth is that self-interest and ideology have today supplanted decency and faith and, come hell or high water, the exponents of this new Weltanschauung will not be moved. Yet by their intransigence and slavering pursuit of power they put themselves in opposition to God – who not just laughs at, but will not for much longer allow, their petty pretensions.
Over the last seventy or so years, we have allowed the problems to grow by prioritising our personal ‘wants’ over the general good, and welcoming to our shores those overtly hostile to our faith, values, heritage, culture and national identity. In the name of tolerance, diversity, and faux ‘compassion’, we have lost the capacity to say ‘No’ to evil. But judgement now is coming – not just upon the UK, but upon the world. If we are to have any chance of surviving the maelstrom that lies ahead, it is urgent we recover pride in our heritage, values, and national identity, and once again find the strength, courage and moral fortitude to stand up for truth and confront evil. It is urgent that we reject compromise, and once again seek the highest good.

But it was all forgotten a few weeks later when she pocketed a quarter of a million pounds with her horse winning the Gold Cup at Ascot [5] for her real passion was horse racing[6].
I am afraid I shall always remember her as the Rainbow or Kaleidoscope Queen who gave her royal assent to the idolatry of wickedness of same sex marriage one year later in 2014 [7].

Just when you think things can’t get any worse, events seem to defy all expectation … and they do. After the UK’s hard-fought separation from Europe, for instance, Keir Starmer appears to have engineered an agreement to make us once again subject to EU rules, only this time minus the voting rights that previously allowed us a say in what those rules should be. What Europe has contributed to this so-called agreement seems moot, but, at the very least, the UK now has some very unhappy fisherman, who see Starmer’s handing over of fishing rights in British waters for the next twelve years as a major betrayal. Which it unquestionably is.
At the same time, the nation’s insane drive to celebrate death as the ultimate act of compassion continues apace, with return of the Leadbeater Bill to legalise assisted suicide back in the House of Commons last week for its third reading. The Bill’s so-called safeguards, guaranteeing protection against coercive abuse, were exposed weeks ago as administratively unworkable – worse, as pie in the sky. Yet here we are again, with the Bill’s sponsor, Kim Leadbeater, still claiming that the safeguards are the safest in the world. News flash: across the world, wherever assisted suicide and/or euthanasia has been allowed, its scope has always radically and dramatically increased. There are no ‘safeguards’ incorporated in the Bill that can guard against this.
Number three, STI rates in the UK are now at record levels, with 401,800 infections recorded for 2023, representing a 5% rise over the previous year. We wait to see what the figures for 2024 will show! But of particular interest, rates of infection for 2023 showed an 8% increase in gonorrhoea, and a 9% increase in syphilis over the previous year. This is a rise that has been fuelled, without doubt, by the normalisation of promiscuity in our culture, made infinitely worse by the promotion of sexual experimentation to children, with has resulted in turn in the highest number of infections for 2023 being amongst young people aged 15 to 24.
It surely doesn’t take a genius to see that sex education policy has been hurtling, like an out-of-control train, down the wrong track and one would have thought that, at the very least, the latest figures would have provoked an urgent rethink, prompting restraint. But not a bit of it! Instead, the NHS has now proudly announced that it is to trial the World’s first ever gonorrhoea vaccine, in the hopes that this will reverse the soaring number of infections. So, there’s a relief for young people and those favouring a sexually adventurous lifestyle. If the vaccine works – albeit with only a 30% to 40% predicted chance of success – they can carry on regardless, safe in the knowledge that sex with anyone – whenever, wherever and with whomsoever they want – really is a human right!
Add to all this the soaring levels of knife crime, the ever-rising death rates from drug abuse, the increasing risk of financial collapse, and ever-constant threat of terrorism from those hostile to our nation and values, and the outlook overall for the UK doesn’t seem too cheerful. On our present trajectory, in fact, we seem to be heading for the rocks, and yet still the Government and those in authority refuse to alter course and tackle the problems at source. Still they refuse to uphold the values on which our nation has been built, and which, when followed, made us strong … Still, they reject God.
The sad, and perhaps frightening, truth is that self-interest and ideology have today supplanted decency and faith and, come hell or high water, the exponents of this new Weltanschauung will not be moved. Yet by their intransigence and slavering pursuit of power they put themselves in opposition to God – who not just laughs at, but will not for much longer allow, their petty pretensions.
Over the last seventy or so years, we have allowed the problems to grow by prioritising our personal ‘wants’ over the general good, and welcoming to our shores those overtly hostile to our faith, values, heritage, culture and national identity. In the name of tolerance, diversity, and faux ‘compassion’, we have lost the capacity to say ‘No’ to evil. But judgement now is coming – not just upon the UK, but upon the world. If we are to have any chance of surviving the maelstrom that lies ahead, it is urgent we recover pride in our heritage, values, and national identity, and once again find the strength, courage and moral fortitude to stand up for truth and confront evil. It is urgent that we reject compromise, and once again seek the highest good.
