Australia Sells Out Israel and Sides with Terrorism

Shame on you Albanese and Wong:

The Prime Minister of Australia has just announced that it will now join Canada, the UK and France in rewarding terrorism and bloodthirsty tyranny, and catering to those who hate the West. But the real question we must ask is this: How can Australia – or anyone else for that matter – recognise something that has never existed?

But none of this is very surprising. The radical socialists Albo and Wong have long hated Israel while supporting its enemies. Says Sharri Markson about the PM:

Albanese has now fulfilled his life-long fantasy to recognise a state of “Palestine” – a fantasy that began when he was a pro-Palestinian protester shouting into a megaphone outside the US embassy in Sydney. There were American and Israeli flags burned in that protest. He’s still that rabid activist now, only dressed in an expensive suit as Prime Minister Albanese was also the co-founder of the Labor Friends of Palestine group.

He misled Australians when he claimed he’d moved from the left of Labor to the centre and adopted Australian values. His true colours have been exposed for all to see. Albanese has taken Australian foreign policy into a dark and dangerous place. https://www.skynews.com.au/insights-and-analysis/anthony-albanese-penny-wong-caving-into-hamas-demands-with-palestinian-recognition-sky-news-sharri-markson-declares/news-story/de6c4eb5ee5149ded428c4327a8b3e94

I have recently examined in some detail the folly of a ‘two-state’ solution, and the myth of a Palestinian people who are somehow being denied a homeland. Hamas and many of Israel’s neighbours want just one state – and that is NOT Israel. They want Israel to be utterly exterminated. See more here: https://billmuehlenberg.com/2025/08/04/on-a-palestinian-state/

But thankfully many others have blasted the government for doing the unthinkable. Here are just some of them:

Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price

The Albanese Government’s decision to recognise Palestinian statehood is impulsive, irrational and ill-timed.
Hamas’ barbarism on 7 October 2023 single-handedly set back the goal of a two-state solution.
The leaders of Hamas said they would repeat similar attacks until Israel is exterminated.
Until Hamas is defeated, a two-state solution isn’t even conceivable and there can be no peaceful future for the people of Gaza.
Let’s also not forget historical facts:
In 2005, Israel withdrew entirely from the Gaza strip, handing it over to the Palestinian Authority and had to relocate Jewish families in the process.
In 2006, Hamas was elected to power.
In 2007, Hamas seized control of Gaza.
For the next 16 years, Hamas squandered the opportunity to support the Palestinian people and work towards a two-state solution. Gaza could have become a Singapore of the Middle East.
Instead, Hamas used billions in international aid to amass weapons and build a vast underground tunnel network to wage terrorism against Israel and the Jewish people.
If the Albanese Government truly believes in a better life for Palestinians and a two-state solution, it would lend its full support to Israel’s military response to rid the world of a death cult.
But in moving to prematurely recognise Palestinian statehood, the Albanese Government has endorsed Hamas’ use of terrorism to achieve political ends.
And all this while Hamas continues to hold hostages.
This Labor Government has lost its moral compass. And its disgraceful decision today shows, yet again, how it is willing to use foreign policy to grandstand to a domestic political audience.
Australia should stand firmly with Israel, tighten sanctions on Iran and its proxies, and make it clear that Palestinian statehood will only be considered when Hamas is dismantled and the Palestinian leadership recognises Israel’s right to exist.

Maryka Groenewald MLC, Leader of the Australian Christians Party, WA

Australia’s Recognition of a Palestinian State. I am deeply disappointed by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s decision to formally recognise a Palestinian State. This move will not bring the region any closer to peace. Instead, it will embolden terrorist groups and make a lasting resolution even harder to achieve.

To those who support this decision on humanitarian grounds, I want you to know I share your concern for the suffering of innocent Palestinians. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is heartbreaking, and I understand the genuine desire to see an end to the bloodshed. But this action will not bring about that outcome.

Right now, there is no credible peace partner in Gaza. The territory is controlled by a terrorist organisation that thrives on violence against its own people and seeks the destruction of Israel. Recognising a Palestinian State under these conditions only entrenches Hamas’s grip on power and makes liberating Palestine from their control far more difficult.

I pray that the Prime Minister reconsiders this reckless step. Above all, I pray for the safety and security of the people of Israel. and the innocent men, women, and children in Gaza, that a real and lasting peace may soon be achieved.

Amir Ablution, Ambassador of Israel to Australia

Peace is built by ending terror, not rewarding it. By recognising a Palestinian state while Hamas continues to kill, kidnap, and reject peace, Australia undermines Israel’s security, derails hostage negotiations, and hands a victory to those who oppose coexistence.

Only days ago Prime Minister Albanese set clear conditions for recognising a Palestinian state: renouncing violence. freeing hostages, and establishing credible, accountable governance. He emphasized that these steps were necessary before recognition could occur. Today however the Australian Government has abandoned those conditions and proceeded with recognition for symbolic reasons rather than genuine progress toward peace.

Let us be clear: this decision will not change the reality on the ground. Peace is not achieved through declarations: it is achieved when those who hate chosen terror abandon it and when violence and incitement end. Rewarding those who use terror as a political tool sends the dangerous message that violence brings political gains.

By recognising a Palestinian state now, Australia elevates the position of Hamas, a group it acknowledges as a terrorist organisation, while weakening the cause of those working to end violence and achieve genuine, lasting peace.

One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson

All states must pledge to guarantee the security of Israel. and the occupied territories must be completely cleansed of any terrorist influence or presence before Australia can recognise a Palestinian state. This plays directly into the hands of terrorists like Hamas and their backers, the oppressive and regressive Iranian regime. The Albanese government is doing exactly what terrorists want it to do instead of standing with our allies and supporting democracy.

l am also disgusted and appalled the Prime Minister would do this without first requiring the release of Hamas’ remaining hostages who have been captives of these maniacs for 674 days now. There can be no legitimate Palestinian state unless that state and the rest of the world pledges to guarantee the integrity and security of Israel, and unless that state is completely free of any influence from Iranian-backed terrorist groups like Hamas (which still controls much of Gaza).

Labor can’t even guarantee the rights and safety of Jewish Australians in our own country, and I am very concerned this move will only embolden further attacks in Australia and embolden the depravity of Hamas and Hezbollah in the Middle East. You don’t stop terrorists by giving them what they want – you stop terrorists by always denying what they want. Labor’s extremist left faction obviously has a firm grip on the Prime Minister’s spine with this craven surrender.

Family First leader Lyle Shelton

On October 7, Hamas raped, slaughtered, and kidnapped innocent Israelis. Today, Anthony Albanese rewarded them by recognising a so-called Palestinian state — handing a propaganda victory to the terrorists still hiding in Gaza’s tunnels.

What is he recognising? A state that still teaches children to hate Jews? A leadership that pays pensions to suicide bombers? A man — Mahmoud Abbas — who excuses Hitler? Benjamin Netanyahu doesn’t believe Abbas has changed his spots. So why does Albanese? This naïve move shames Australia. The only winners are Hamas and the Islamic death cult they serve….

Today’s announcement by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Penny Wong is naïve and the only winners are the Hamas terrorists huddled in their tunnels in Gaza. Sadly, Albanese and Wong have delivered yet another propaganda coup to the Hamas Islamic death cult. Unless Hamas, which still has thousands of armed Islamic terrorists in Gaza, is destroyed, it will re-group and attempt October 7 again and again until every Jew from the river to the sea is killed,” Mr Shelton said.

Senator Michaelia Cash, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs

Mr Albanese has effectively delivered Hamas, which is a terrorist organisation, one of its strategic objectives of the horrific terrorism on October 7. The Coalition is clear. You don’t reward terrorists while they’re still holding innocent people captive.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Today, most of the Jewish public is against the Palestinian state for the simple reason that they know it won’t bring peace, it will bring war. To have European countries and Australia march into that rabbit hole … is disappointing, and I think it’s actually shameful. But it’s not going to take, it’s not going to change our position. We will not commit national suicide to get a good op-ed for two minutes. We won’t do that.

Commentator Greg Sheridan

The Albanese government has made a shocking mistake in offering official recognition to a Palestinian state when no such state exists. These actions are not likely to have any particular consequence in the Middle East. They’re not really concerned with the politics of Gaza City and Ramallah but with Marrickville and Liverpool, Northcote and Broadmeadows. This is about domestic politics, not the Middle East. As Frank Knopfelmacher long ago quipped: Australia foreign policy is often domestic politics by other means.

Arsen Ostrovsky, Australian-Israeli human rights lawyer

For decades, Australia prided itself on being a principled middle power: one that stood up for democracy, opposed terrorism, and applied international law consistently. That reputation took a major hit on Monday. Ultimately, the decision is not a step towards peace. It’s a road map to further bloodshed and instability, and an unconscionable reward for the terrorists who are forcing emaciated hostages to dig their own graves.

Craig Kelly, former Liberal Party MP

We all want to see the war and suffering end, but how can you “recognise” a state that is still holding and torturing innocent hostages it captured at a music festival? Surely a prerequisite of recognising a Palestinian State must be that every hostage captured at the music festival is first released?

Commentator Erin Molan

A huge congratulations not JUST to H*mas… but to terrorists everywhere What a win… Ohhhh and condolences to the hostages, kids in Gaza and innocents everywhere who will suffer even more so as a result. Australia has just announced it will recognise a Palestinian State… One CURRENTLY controlled by murderous terrorists…

Jewish Lives Matter

Interesting how France, Canada, and Australia refuse to recognize Taiwan as an independent state – yet rush to recognize ‘Palestine’ after it butchered and raped innocent people. Did we mention they are still starving and holding innocent hostages?

Abe Greenwald, Executive Editor of Commentary Magazine

Gaza is precisely what the Western left says it hates: a racist, sexist, homophobic, militaristic, anti-Democratic, kleptocratic, dogmatically religious police state of science fictional inequity and oppression. And they love it more than anything in the world.

  1. Brilliant Bill, a much needed summary of GOD’S Faithful in positions of influence in these last days.

Australia is cursed and we will continue to spiral downwards to our demise in whatever shape or form God’s Righteous Judgement will be.

Praise the Lord for individual Faithful and Faith-filled Warriors as yourself – We continue to Bless Israel to our last breath.

    To God be the Glory.
    Melinda

  2. Thanks Bill for all those comments. Just shows that Australia along with Canada and France are still being controlled by belligerent occupiers paid or controlled by the WEF, UN etc trying to make a one world government. Hopefully this will wake up some more people. As you know, even if Hamas were to give all the hostages back, dead and alive, in exchange for a state of its own, it wouldnt work (the Gazans would not be better off) as Hamas would still control it and their thinking is not like ours.

  3. What does Albanese’s partner think? Does his potential wife have a mind of her own and has she influenced him? Men, as soon as they tee up with a woman, will do anything to hang onto her! This disastrous move by a man who has made a habit of changing horses mid stream smacks of somebody who cannot be trusted to be a Prime Minister of Honour. No vote from me ever again.

  4. Thank you Bill for listing the voices from Australia that should be heard, rather than the pathetic utterances that emanate from our current leadership. The list of voices you quoted have truly assembled the reality of wicked activity orchestrated by a terrorist group. It further confirms that many of us Aussies don’t agree with these Canberra voices.
