Why Does The Age Hate Christianity?

Leave it to the secular militants at the Melbourne Age to feature not one but two opinion pieces at Christmas time by atheists telling us we don’t need Jesus to enjoy Christmas! Imagine that. One piece is just not enough, so they had to run two pieces to really grind their heels into the faces of all those lousy Christians out there.

The very short answer to the question in my title is that the Age, like almost all mainstream media publications, is staffed overwhelmingly by secularists, leftists, and those committed to the PC agenda. It comes as no surprise therefore to find papers like the Age routinely and monotonously attacking the Christian faith, especially at its most sacred times of the year.

We find the same ugly anti-Christian bigotry featured in the Age, the ABC and other MSM outlets at Easter as well. Of course these gutless wonders would never dare attack other religions during their most holy days. Imagine the Age featuring not one, but two ugly attacks on Islam during Ramadan.

Or imagine an MSM newspaper regularly attacking Aboriginal dreamtime spirituality, or various New Age beliefs and practices. Oh no, in all those other areas, we are meant to show tolerance, respect, and acceptance. There is only one religion which the MSM feels free to pour scorn and contempt on: biblical Christianity.

Of course this should ultimately come as no surprise, since there is a very real devil who loves all religion, but hates Christianity. That is because all religion is simply mankind’s attempt to find God and please God. Only Christianity tells us about God’s attempt to find us and rescue us from our sinful degradation and imprisonment.

So Satan will go after Christianity any day of the week, and will quite happily use those militant secularists who think they are so clever in rubbishing Christianity on a regular basis. These journalists, academics, and cultural elites are Satan’s useful idiots who happily accomplish his diabolical purposes in trashing the Christian faith.

And idiots they are. Imagine if someone wrote an article (readily published by the Age) arguing that we can all enjoy the Passover, but not believe a scrap about Moses or Israel. Or imagine a second article on the same day, telling us Ramadan is a public holiday which everyone can share, and we don’t even need to believe in Muhammad or Islam to enjoy the festivities.

The PC crowd at the Age would not be so idiotic or intolerant to dare publish such rubbish. But they will time and time again attack Christianity in the very same manner. They are cowards. They are hypocrites. And they are bigoted Christophobes.

But hey, the week is young. I am sure we will see plenty more such rabid attacks on the faith before the week is out. And expect some of the nastiest and ugliest attacks to be printed on Christmas Day.
