Let’s Just Sue Them Into Submission

If we had the baloneyometre in action for the biggest porky of all coming from the militant homosexual lobby, surely one of the clear winners would be this one: “You have nothing to worry about: nothing will change when homosexual marriage is legalised.”

Yeah right. Special rights for homosexuals changes everything, and this is certainly the case with homosexual marriage. Rights do not exist in a vacuum, and when the “right” to homosexual marriage is granted, then all sorts of auxiliary demands, duties and obligations will be forthcoming.

The militants are never satisfied. They not only want to destroy the institutions of marriage and family, but they want to wipe out every last pocket of resistance to their destructive agenda. So whenever special rights are brought in, you can be sure to find the activists on their search and destroy missions, seeking out any remaining recalcitrants.

There are now many hundreds of examples of this, as my new book will fully document. Let me here just offer the latest from the pink mafia. Check out this new headline: “‘Gays’ to sue church to perform ‘marriage’ ceremonies.” Yep, here we go again.

The story begins: “The British government’s recent legalization of ‘gay marriage,’ however, includes a provision that churches cannot be forced to perform same-sex weddings. ‘As much as people are saying this is a good thing, I am still not getting what I want,’ Barrie Drewitt-Barlow told the Chronicle, according to the U.K.-based Christian Institute.

“He said the ‘only way forward for us now is to make a challenge to the courts against the church. It is a shame that we are forced to take Christians into a court to get them to recognize us. It upsets me because I want it so much – a big lavish ceremony, the whole works. I just don’t think it is going to happen straight away.’

“Unlike the U.S., in the U.K., the Church of England is affiliated with the government. But with the advance of the homosexual-rights movement under President Obama’s leadership, American churches already are being advised to prepare for similar pressure. Several major organizations are urging churches immediately to build in legal protections against anyone who might demand that they perform same-sex weddings.”

All over the Western world the activists are taking their war against faith, family and freedom to a frightening and ominous new level. And sadly most Western leaders are caving in big time. These spineless wonders are allowing this miniscule activist lobby to get away with the biggest act of social upheaval in modern history.

Plenty of other recent examples can be mentioned here. Let me offer just a handful from the past few weeks, some of which I have written up elsewhere:

“Scottish Catholic adoption agency threatened with closure over gay adoption”
June 12, 2013
“Another British Catholic adoption agency is being threatened with closure by the government for refusing to toe the government’s line of support for the homosexualist political agenda. St. Margaret’s Children and Family Care Society, associated with the Catholic archdiocese of Glasgow, has lost a ruling in its argument with the Scottish government’s charity regulator, which is demanding the charity drop its policy of adopting only to mothers and fathers who have been married for at least two years.”

“Boston cops must defer to transgender crooks”
June 13, 2013
“Criminals just got more rights in the city of Boston – at least, those who identify as transgender. According to new regulations, officers of the Boston Police Department must use a transgender suspect’s preferred first name, find out whether the person likes to be called ‘he’ or ‘she,’ allow him to choose whether male or female officers perform his frisking, and give any transgender inmate a private ride to and from court. New BPD rules say police must use the name anyone who is arrested prefers, ‘even if the individual has not received legal recognition of the adopted name.’

“Professor Orders Students to Support Gay Rights”
June 18, 2013
“A Tennessee community college professor ordered her students to wear ribbons supporting gay rights and said those who believed in the traditional definition of marriage are just ‘uneducated bigots’ who ‘attack homosexuals with hate,’ according to a legal firm representing several of the students in the class. Students in a general psychology class at Columbia State Community College were directed by their professor to wear ‘Rainbow Coalition’ ribbons for an entire day and express their support for the homosexual community, said Travis Barham, an attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom. Barham is calling for the college to punish Dr. Linda Brunton and order her to apologize to the students whose constitutional rights he believes were violated, according to a letter he sent to the community college president. ‘Dr. Brunton essentially turned her General Psychology class into a semester-long clinic on the demands of the homosexual movement,’ Barham said.”

“Teachers told ‘watch what you say’ on gay marriage”
June 25, 2012
“A union leader has told teachers that disagreeing with gay marriage could be like racism and carries a risk of disciplinary action. Scottish Secondary Teachers’ Association acting general secretary, Alan McKenzie, said teachers who are against gay marriage should ‘watch what they say at work’. ‘If somebody made racist comments they’d be in danger of disciplinary action and it’s no different from that,’ he added. The remarks come as a nationalist MSP warned that teachers could be ‘persecuted’ if they criticise same-sex marriage. John Mason MSP said: ‘I want to know if there will be protection for employees, such as where a teacher says they disagree with same-sex marriage’.”

“University Fires Employee for Op-Ed Standing Against Gay Rights as Civil Rights”
July 2, 2013
“Alliance Defending Freedom and the Pacific Justice Institute have filed a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court that asks the court to review the case of a University of Toledo employee fired simply because she wrote an opinion column in her own personal name with a viewpoint that university officials didn’t like. The university fired Crystal Dixon, who works in the school’s Human Resources department, after she wrote a short op-ed responding to a local newspaper’s editorial that compared the efforts of homosexual activists to the black civil rights movement of the 1950s and 60s. As an African-American, Dixon respectfully disagreed with the paper’s editorial. She did not mention her job at the university. ‘Universities should be the marketplace of ideas, not environments where officials dictate conformity to their own views even outside of the campus,’ said Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Legal Counsel David Hacker.”

“Christian arrested for calling homosexuality a ‘sin’ warns of ‘real-life thought police’”
July 4, 2013
“Tony Miano, 49, a former senior police officer from the US, was held for around six hours, had his fingerprints and DNA taken and was questioned about his faith, after delivering a sermon about ‘sexual immorality’ on a London street. Mr Miano, who served as a Deputy Sherriff in Los Angeles County, said his experience suggested that the term ‘thought police’ had become a reality in the UK. . . . The father of three, who took early retirement from the police to become a full-time preacher two years ago, was detained after was preaching outside a shopping centre in Wimbledon, south west London, on Monday. He was speaking from a passage from Thessalonians which mentions ‘sexual immorality’ and listed homosexuality alongside ‘fornication’ as examples what he believed went against ‘God’s law’. A woman out shopping called the police to complain that she was offended, prompting two officers to be dispatched to arrest him.”

“Judge orders Ohio to recognize out-of-state gay ‘marriage’ despite state’s marriage amendment”
July 23, 2013
“A U.S. district judge has ordered a clerk in the state of Ohio to recognize a same-sex ‘marriage’ conducted in another state, because the state’s constitutional amendment defining marriages does ‘likely violate the U.S. Constitution’.”

By the time my new book appears documenting all these cases, it will already be out of date, with yet more books needed. But hey, the activists assure us that we need not be concerned. They insist that special rights will not change anything. Umm, yep.
