It is a waste of time trying to argue with these folks:
When folks have fully imbibed of the Kool-Aid, when they have fully bought the Narrative, when they have fully taken leave of their senses, then they have reached the point of no return – at least in terms of trying to have a rational discussion with them. Long ago they have stopped reasoning, and now they simply emote as they parrot the official line on things.
Those in the secular left are far too often in this camp, but sadly – at least on some issues – you will find those who were once Christians or conservatives succumbing to the same foggy mental breakdown. Case in point: climate catastrophism, complete with end of the world scenarios seeking to scare the living daylights out of the masses.
Another is of course the Rona hysteria, complete with panic porn and alarmism, coupled with all the heavy-handed government responses and draconian lockdown madness. I have witnessed and encountered so many normally sensible and rational folks go right off the deep end on these issues. The stream of zombie madness is never ending.
I just had one guy come to my site who managed to combine both in one nasty rant: climate alarmism and COVID hysteria. He said, in part: “On the bright side, COVID looks likely to eliminate those too stupid and too selfish to get vaccinated. A win for the future of humanity.”
Hmm, typical leftist zombie-ism. First, the usual ad hominem attacks: anyone who dares to think differently is simply stupid and selfish. Never mind the countless scientific and medical experts – plenty with PhDs – who have real reservations about the rushed vaccines for COVID.
And then we also have the very typical leftist hatred on display: this guy actually wants those of us who have a differing take on things to die. Feel the love baby! And of course these guys always love “humanity” in the abstract – never actual people.
We also have all those who actually believe that the Big State is the Big Saviour. They really do believe that the ever-expanding state is a good thing – after all, they are just trying to ‘keep us safe’. I have had folks who should know better actually trying to tell me that power-hungry politicians pushing never-ending emergency powers are just trying their best to look after us!
Good grief, these folks need to do a refresher course at the Lord Acton School of Politics and Reality. Or simply start reading the Bible for a change. Given that we are all fallen and self-centred, a whole lotta power is always going to be a risky venture. Yes, government is ordained by God, but it is never absolute, and it is all about delegated authority.
When politicians exploit a crisis to grant themselves unprecedented powers, and look to hold onto these powers permanently, you know something is clearly wrong. Yet so many folks – including some who used to value freedom and basic human rights – have simply bowed down to these leaders, worshipping the very ground that they walk on.
They have imbibed so deeply of all the fearmongering and panic-promotion that they really have become zombie-like: preferring to remain the living dead. And they come to my site mad as hell, attacking me, believing that I will somehow kill their grandmother because I dare to ask a few hard questions.
Um, I got news for these folks: if they want to stay locked up in their homes forever, wear three masks at a time, and get the jab every month for the rest of their life, they are welcome to it. No one is stopping them from living in full-tilt panic and paranoia. But I will not let these sheeple try to take the high moral ground and dictate to me and others what we can do in what is – or once was – a free and democratic society.
And I am not alone in these concerns. Large protests both in Australia and in numerous European nations of late give me hope that we have not yet decided to let never-ending statism become the new normal, with silenced sheeple not even noticing how they lost everything to somehow be kept safe from a virus that is mild in over 99 percent of cases.
Many are now speaking out against these dictatorships for life springing up all over the West. Let me run with just two recent articles on this. A piece in the Wall Street Journal quoted attorney Richard Klingler who asks, “Did COVID Kill the Constitution?” Here is part of what he said:
With the end of the Supreme Court’s term and most of the nation’s COVID restrictions, it’s fair to ask whether the courts and Constitution failed us when we most needed them. After all, COVID-related restrictions were the most extensive use of the government’s peacetime emergency powers, ever, and one of the broadest, most severe infringements of Americans’ civil liberties…
He looks at how various courts have responded to all this, and continues:
This response was anemic, given the scope of the restrictions… The government barred many of us from visiting family, mourning the dead, educating our children, traveling, socializing in public or private, politicking, dancing, enforcing property contracts, praying together, performing, running our businesses, or earning a livelihood. The Constitution was mostly, it seemed, irrelevant.
That result was not inevitable… the Constitution was designed to protect a broad range of widely understood liberties. Some are singled out in the Constitution, others not. But the generations of the Founding and the post-Civil War Second Founding had little difficulty identifying them. Another piece looks at the myth further fuelling the panic that anyone who dares to question the Rona vaccines is going to be responsible for killing others. The article by Celeste McGovern is well worth reading in full, but it begins this way:
For days, the mainstream media have been playing a loop of reports that 99% of COVID-19 deaths are among unvaccinated people. Besides there being no data —there’s actually evidence that the opposite is true – it’s become the basis for a stream of dehumanizing propaganda that labels half of the American adult population and most children who haven’t taken experimental COVID-19 shots as “variant factories” and “incubators” of disease.
It’s frighteningly similar to early Nazi propaganda that referred to “filthy Jews” as spreaders of disease and stirred up irrational fear and hatred of millions of people in German society. It was a government message used to justify quarantining a people, starving them, and then annihilating them.
When I shared this elsewhere one person wrote in with these words: “After a discussion tonight with a family member that left me feeling like I should just wear sack cloth and cry ‘unclean!’ Everywhere I go, I finally see how easy it was for Hitler to convince the German population that their Jewish countrymen carried disease and needed to be isolated into the ghetto and, later, the concentration camps.”
Yes exactly right. I can see clearly where we are headed with all this, complete with health apartheid. A two-tiered society is emerging, with the ‘righteous’ vaxxed and the ‘evil‘ unvaxxed. As I have said so often, I am not anti-vaccine in general, and those who want the jab can go right ahead. But these rushed, experimental COVID vaccines which are making Big Pharma filthy rich is another matter.
McGovern continues:
There’s little logic in anything vaccine-pushers say nowadays. Either the vaccine protects you against the disease, or it doesn’t. If [former secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen] Sebelius knows she can still get and spread the disease – the vaccine doesn’t prevent getting it (more on this to come) or transmitting it – then how can she blame the unvaccinated for spread? If her vaccine isn’t up to snuff, why force that choice on everyone else, too? But there are other reasons to dismiss the neurotic fear propaganda about the “filthy unvaccinated” of leftists like Biden and Sebelius.
99 percent?
The Surgeon General’s statement that 99.5 percent of coronavirus deaths are in the unvaccinated materialized out of thin air and dodgy data. It turns out it’s based on math by a couple of Associated Press reporters that involved some crude calculations – the kind done on a bar napkin – looking at reported deaths from COVID in the month of May and some number, perhaps from a CDC report on the number of COVID deaths in the fully vaccinated, which was “about” 150. Since the AP report didn’t source their data, it’s a guessing game to figure out how they came to this factoid that has since been repeated by every leftist media chain and Biden administrator. The reporters did update their story to correct the number of hospital admissions for coronavirus from 853,000 to 107,000, and the percentage of hospitalized people who had been vaccinated to 1.1%, not 0.1%. Since coronavirus cases in the vaccinated are seriously underreported and so are vaccine side-effects and deaths, the 99% number is simply not real.
The CDC stopped counting COVID-19 cases in the vaccinated
The trouble is, a lot of vaccinated people in the U.S. – tens of thousands of them – are getting COVID after their 94% effective shots. By April 30, the CDC reported that there were 10,262 COVID “breakthrough” cases among those who had been fully vaccinated at least two weeks earlier. They didn’t include those who had received only one shot or count those who had the second shot five or 10 days earlier.
And they knew this was “likely a substantial undercount of all SARS-CoV-2 infections among fully vaccinated persons.” But rather than try to determine the real numbers, the CDC announced that they were no longer going to count cases of the coronavirus in the vaccinated if they didn’t wind up hospitalized or dead.
How convenient.
By April 30, 160 vaccinated people had died of COVID. A few days later, the CDC updated the data to say that 535 fully vaccinated people had died of the infection. As of July 12, 5,492 patients with COVID-19 vaccine breakthrough infection were hospitalized, including 1,063 who died.
If the CDC knew that more than 10,000 fully vaccinated people were COVID-positive by the end of April and that was a serious underestimate of the real numbers, and now they have stopped counting so they have no idea how many vaccinated people are infected, how can they now say that it’s the unvaccinated who are spreading disease?
She concludes:
In Israel, it was reported June 29 that the vaccine was failing and most new cases of COVID were in the vaccinated. Roughly 60% of the patients in serious conditions had been vaccinated and, according to Hebrew University researchers advising the government, around 90% of newly infected people over the age of 50 are fully vaccinated.

Guess what? I will keep on asking the inconvenient questions. If those fully given over to paranoia, alarmism and panic do not like it, tough beans. No one is holding a gun to their head, forcing them to come here. Sorry, but these matters are far too serious to allow the zombie-brigade to dictate our future.
