Our Witless and Worthless Woke Wonder Celebs

The Grammys just highlighted the most recent case of this:

In the past, award ceremonies were somewhat interesting and entertaining. Today, things like the Grammys and the Emmys and the Oscars are anything but. They are now just gatherings of arrogant, narcissistic, delusional woke wonders who have turned these events into hard-left political rallies.

These pompous, overpaid and underperforming activists no longer get up, accept their award, and sit down. They now have mandatory loony left speeches that are made ad infinitum, ad nauseam. If it is not Trump who must be attacked, it is ICE, or Republicans, or capitalism, or America, or Israel, or the West, or whatever the latest trendy cause happens to be.

The recently held Grammys was of course no exception, with brainless celebs trying to outdo one another in their idiotic political activism. Billie Eilish may have taken the cake however for her hardcore stupidity. She of course had to say “f*ck ICE” but then she made the incredibly dumb remark about “no one is illegal on stolen land”.

That one brought instant responses by those who still have functioning brains. If all borders are fake, then there can be no such thing as stolen land. BTW, she has a very nice, expensive mansion in California. Was that stolen? If so, will she give it up? And if no one is an illegal alien, can anyone waltz right up to her spiffy joint and ask to be taken in?

As Douglas Murray said: “I’m not sure what in Billie Eilish’s head does work … I’d ask the question, what exactly is stolen land? I think what Miss Eilish thinks is that America … and other Western countries are on stolen land and that there’s something unique about that and as a result, yes, you shouldn’t have borders. This is just pure virtue signalling, celeb stuff.” https://www.skynews.com.au/opinion/rita-panahi/douglas-murray-skewers-virtue-signalling-billie-eilish-over-hypocritical-grammys-speech/video/843a255834ffea64f54dd20b12658eec

I assume her doors are wide open for the millions of illegals that Sleepy Joe let into America under his watch – or rather, under his big sleep. One Australian has already set up a crowd-funding page to fly there and demand entrance into her mansion. Said Drew Pavlou: “Exciting news: I’ve decided to move into Billie Eilish’s $6 million Malibu beachfront mansion because no human being is illegal on stolen land. Thank you Billie for your generosity.”

And one legal firm is looking into whether she should return her mansion and land to the original owners:

“Sinai Law Firm is offering to evict Billie Eilish from her Los Angeles home on a pro bono basis on behalf of the Tongva Tribe,” the firm said in a statement on Tuesday, adding that it considers itself the “premier eviction firm” in the US.

“Eilish’s admission that she lives on stolen land gives the tribe a rightful action for possession as the true owner of the property. The 30-day notice is already written and ready to be served,” they said. However, the Tongva tribe has not given any indication that they want the space back, despite confirming Eilish’s home sits on “ancestral land”.

“Eilish has not contacted our tribe directly regarding her property, we do value the instance when public figures provide visibility to the true history of this country,” a Tongva spokesperson told the aforementioned publication. https://www.skynews.com.au/lifestyle/celebrity-life/everyones-an-immigrant-billie-eilishs-family-react-to-stolen-land-furore-as-law-firm-works-to-evict-her-from-3m-mansion/news-story/deed836bf4d69df486e17fc6e48e96fd

And let’s not forget when Eilish had the authorities come to take away an intruder on her land. In early 2023 she had to call the cops to get rid of a man trespassing on her property. Hmm, all of a sudden borders and walls and gates and armed guards and police are all a terrif idea. ‘One law for me – another for thee…’

All this PC crapolla is making this event a real turn-off. Says one report:

In yet another example of why it is bad business to mix entertainment with social justice messaging, viewership for the 2026 Grammy Awards fell by double digits across key categories. The show dropped 19 percent in the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults ages 18 to 49, 20 percent among viewers 18 to 34, and 13 percent among viewers 25 to 54.

Overall, the ceremony averaged 14 million total viewers, an 11 percent decline from last year and a 20 percent drop from 2024. https://www.outkick.com/culture/anti-ice-grammy-awards-tank-ratings

Stolen lands, fake histories

As to the idea of stolen land and the like, plenty can be said, including about native American Indian tribes. Brief quotes from two books and an article will suffice here. Thomas Sowell has written much about this, including in his magisterial 500-page volume, Conquests and Cultures: An International History (Basic Books, 1998, 2022).

Here is just one paragraph on this supposed utopia before the ‘evil’ White Man came:

[T]he stronger tribes or nations collected tribute from the weaker, as was common around the world and, in confederacies such as those of the Iroquois, some tribes played subordinate roles while others took the lead. This does not imply that harmonious, or even humane, relationships always existed among North American Indians, for archaeological evidence exists of both torture and cannibalism in the pre-Columbian era. Cherokees enslaved other Indians and, after the European settlers arrive, sold some of them to the whites, as they would later buy and sell African slaves, or return runaway slaves to whites for the rewards.

A more recent book by Jeff Fynn-Paul, Not Stolen: The Truth About European Colonialism in the New World (Bombardier, 2023) offers another 400 pages of solid evidence on this. Early on he says this:

Our central argument is that the recent fashion for extreme anti-European allegations is too extreme for rational, balanced, scientifically minded people to take seriously. Widely accepted charges such as “genocide,” mass murder, the primacy of racism and slavery, and the idea that the United States and Canada are illegitimate because they were founded on “stolen ground” were confined to the radical fringes of the historical profession as recently as a decade ago. Yet via the mechanism of social media the most extreme views have captured the historical profession, rendering it helpless to counteract charges that most of us used to acknowledge were disingenuous, even unhinged….

The aim is to avoid downplaying the real evil done by Europeans, while deflating the hyperbole spread in recent years by radical historians and their disciples. (xxiii)

And Rich Lowry just wrote a great piece on this, part of which said:

There is no doubt that we were, at our worst, brutal and duplicitous in our dealings with Native Americans, and that we were a land-hungry people. The misapprehension of the simplistic “stolen land” narrative, though, is that, prior to Europeans showing up, peoples in North America had clearly delineated territory with a provenance stretching back into the mists of time. In fact, all was conflict and flux.

He also cites the Fynn-Paul book and then writes:

But if we are guilty of “stealing land,” so is nearly everyone else in history, including Native Americans, who constantly fought and dispossessed one another.

Iroquois, for instance, gained military superiority by acquiring firearms from the Dutch and English in the 17th century and proceeded to wipe out or displace the Huron, the Neutral Nation, and the Erie. They established what is called the Gunpowder Empire, with its locus in Eastern and Central New York.

For their part, the Comanche originated in the northern Rocky Mountains, then moved into the Great Plains. Their prowess as mounted warriors allowed them to displace the Apache and subordinate the Wichita and establish

dominance in a vast region known as Comanchería.

And so on.

The historian Elliott West describes how the rise of horse culture amplified conflict.

In the West, he writes,

“Two great coalitions—Cheyennes, Arapahos, and Lakotas north of the Arkansas River and Comanches and Kiowas south of it—clashed bitterly until making peace in 1840, then both preyed on sedentary peoples on the fringes.”

Further south, he continues, “Comanches, Kiowas, and Apaches launched wolfish raids” into Mexico, seeking to snatch “horses, mules, and slaves.”

The Southwest, meanwhile, had been a persistent cauldron of violence: “Navajos and Apaches had long preyed on Pueblos and Hispanos, Apaches on Mexicans and Navajos, Utes on Navajos and Plains tribes, and Comanches on Pueblos, Hispanos, and Mexicans.”

In short, it wasn’t exactly Dances with Wolves. https://www.nationalreview.com/2026/02/the-stolen-land-charge-ignores-most-of-human-history/

Moral of the story: If we need history lessons, the last persons you want to get them from are pompous liberal celebs, musicians, and members of Hollyweird. You need to learn history from those with a cerebral cortex.
