Pushing Agendas Through “Diversity”
Homosexual activists and their PC sympathisers never rest, but are ever on the lookout for new ways to advance this radical minority group agenda, whether the majority likes it or not. Any excuse will do to further foist this agenda upon an unwilling public.
It is rarely done in a democratic fashion, but is usually force-fed upon the rest of us. And all sorts of gimmicks are used to get these results. One of the key ways is to throw around the mantra, “diversity”. Whenever you hear that word being used in a social or political setting, it can almost be guaranteed that it has to do with the coercive promotion of homosexualism.
In the name of diversity all sorts of PC nonsense has been inflicted upon us, and it is a never ending assault upon the will of the majority. The most recent example of this activist campaign can be found in the Victorian council of Hobsons Bay.
Says one news report, “It is believed Hobsons Bay is the first Victorian municipality to have an advisory committee for ‘gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, intersex and queer’ communities.” The article continues, “Hobsons Bay City wants the group to have input into relevant council policies so the groups can ‘observe their own sexuality and cultural practices without being discriminated against or disadvantaged’.”
The “D” word was of course pulled out and bandied about here: “Hobsons Bay deputy mayor and GLBTIQ advisory committee chairman Tony Briffa said councils had a duty to ensure community services were appropriate and accessible to their diverse citizens.”
Yeah right – tell me about it. These guys are really so concerned about diversity that they will run everything by the homosexual activists. So are homosexuals the only group in Hobsons Bay? Are they the only ones to get a place on the council? Are they the only ones with special needs in the entire district?
As Terri Kelleher of the Australian Family Association asked, “How about the elderly in the community and the alienation and social isolation among the elderly?” Good question indeed. What special help are the elderly getting there?
They would certainly be deserving – probably even more so – of such special attention and care. But this council obviously thinks they are just not that important. They are certainly not politically correct enough for this trendy activist Council.
But plenty of other groups and lifestyles could also demand equal treatment here. Indeed, I suspect that there is a huge range of diversity within Hobsons Bay. Surely there is a small but thriving community of arsonists living there. Will they too get special treatment by the council? Will they too get their own advisory committee?
I await these words in a news item to be written soon: “Hobsons Bay City wants the group to have input into relevant council policies so the groups can ‘observe their own predilections and cultural practices without being discriminated against or disadvantaged’.” Quite so. Let’s support our local arsonists.
But the list does not end there. There are so many other groups which make up the diversity of Hobsons Bay. When will they get their own special preferential treatment? When will they be specially represented at the council meetings?
The list must surely be endless. There have to be all sorts of special needs groups living there that could use some special help. Consider just a few:
-stamp collectors
-tuba players
-red headed harmonica players
-Asian basket-weavers
-left-handed ukulele players
-blind cricket players
-foot-fetish aficionados
-poker playing dwarves
-bashful computer geeks
-teenagers with braces
-Spanish-born factory workers
-bikini-clad meter maids
-millionaire CEOs
-left-leaning news readers
-female heroin addicts
-elderly golfers
-three-packs-a-day cigarette smokers
-pokies addicts
-cheap romance readers
-high-priced call girls
-low-life card sharks
-door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesmen
-antiquarian book lovers
-PC Council workers
Sorry if I left anyone off the list. All these groups and then some certainly have their needs, and councils obviously should take them on, to ensure that they are not “being discriminated against or disadvantaged”. And all in the name of diversity of course.
But for some reason I don’t expect that all of these other quite deserving groups will be getting similar treatment as that of the homosexual activists. I won’t be holding my breath as I await this or any other council to take on their legitimate needs and wants. These groups are simply not PC, so they do not have the same political clout.
It seems that some groups in our diverse culture are much more equal than others.

I think the article gets a bit lost in its own sarcasm Bill, but I understand your point perfectly. When I worked at Oxfam a new policy statement was being floated about giving preferential employment opportunities to (1) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, (2) disabled folks, (3) women in management, and …. (4) homosexuals, lesbians, bi’s, transgenders, transexuals.
The obvious question is: Why exactly did it seemed necessary to provide preferential employment treatment for folks who like to sleep with both men and women, or for folks who like to dress and act like the opposite gender. Just plain nonsense. The reply back was that they were a “minority group” and needed care. Phoeey!
Anyway – I started pointing out all the other minority groups – those with hair-lips, those with club feet, those with a religious faith (Christians, Catholics, Muslims, etc).
Anyway – thankfully the policy was trashed (its probably in force now – I’ve been gone for 3-4 years).
Just a note – “progressive” is the same type of code word used to hide a homosexual political or social agenda.

But wait there’s more. There is now a LGBT heritage month in LA;

Diversity for everyone except conservatives, as usual.

I suppose that advisory committee doesn’t include a NARTH psychotherapist in the name of diversity, or maybe an Aboriginal tribal elder who takes a dim view of homosexuality? And to go in the opposite and immoral direction, why don’t they invite a representative of NAMBLA to join?

Good point John!

These days whenever I see the word “diversity” used in a PC context, I think it reads more accurately to simply substitute it with the word “perversity”.

The ultimate un-represented and discriminated-against group is the 60-or-over white male heterosexual Christian AGW/Darwinist-sceptic (well, like me). In our society, such people are better off slashing their wrists – but of course, before long the euthanasia movement will be saving us the trouble.

John and others, let us encourage ourselves in the Lord like David did in his time of adversity. I understand the cynicism from a human point of view, but I always try to use it as a stepping stone to getting back to living and fighting in the Spirit. What I have long thought was needed in Christian pulpit teaching is a simple model of determining how to find out what is legitimate in the kingdom of God and what is not and once having found it, where the place of that particular good thing is. You could call it a very simplified crash-course in Christian world view, but it could be very effective, so all Christians who take their faith seriously would be given a tool with which to sort out situations they come across in their ordinary lives.
Many blessings

I think we need to stand up for what we believe a little more instead of just taking it. The way these guys word things does leave it open for us as Christians to use to our advantage!, but we are too afraid of pushing our point and often just complain and sit back and be ineffective. For example Hobsons Bay says Diversity for ALL cultures! if a christian program is turned down, use the disadvantaged card…they sure will!

At our church we have about 45 nationalities, I was going to use the word “diverse” to describe us. I had already changed my mind before this article but it shows us why – the word, “diverse” has been hijacked!

God’s Word is the standard – it’s time we Christians stood up for righteousness!
If all readers of this blog voiced their objection to Hobson Bay Council, they would rethink their position.

Ann Coulter, American political and social commentator, analyzes the phenomenon of crazy ideas gaining traction as that of “mob” response and she, I gather from her pre book sale interview with Hannity, explores this in her new book, ‘Demonic’. Minority, perverse groups whip up mobs to listen to them and to support their efforts at changing the law in order to justify their behaviour or agendas. They seek credibility and material benefits. Money and child adoption are two benefits for a start. This is what is happening with Isalmic forays into Western laws and with the homosexual lobby.
Mobs don’t actually stop and think about anything. Conservative writer and academic, Thomas Sowell, expresses the commonsensical notion of stopping…and thinking in his writings. Mobs just react – no facts or reason required. I suppose foolishness resonates with fools.

Some time ago our local paper reported that Brimbank Council was also invited to “get on board” with this GLBTIQ initiative from Hobsons Bay. I raised this matter with one of the Brimbank Commissioners (our Councillors were sacked) and got a diatribe about Council having to follow State Government legislation etc. I am hoping that I made some impression and that Brimbank Council will find better things to do with ratepayers money.

More lunacy! I wonder how much worse things will become before our Redeemer comes back. God help us all especially our youth surrounded, as they are, by the mire of perversity. Sometimes I feel so sad for the terrible loss of innocence that I see everywhere and for the depravity which that can lead to. I want to keep being full of trust that things are going to be corrected, that everything will come together in Jesus as Scripture tells us — I do trust really — I suppose I’m just tired of waiting and sickened by how far the world has gone from obedience to God’s Will. May He bless us, correct us and teach us wisdom before its too late.

MY DEAR WORMWOOD,
I note what you say about guiding our patient’s reading and taking care that he sees a good deal of his materialist friend. But are you not being a trifle naïf? It sounds as if you supposed that argument was the way to keep him out of the Enemy’s clutches. That might have been so if he had lived a few centuries earlier. At that time the humans still knew pretty well when a thing was proved and when it was not; and if it was proved they really believed it. They still connected thinking with doing and were prepared to alter their way of life as the result of a chain of reasoning. But what with the weekly press and other such weapons we have largely altered that. Your man has been accustomed, ever since he was a boy, to have a dozen incompatible philosophies dancing about together inside his head. He doesn’t think of doctrines as primarily “true” of “false”, but as “diverse” or “non-discrimatory” ”inclusive” “egalitarian” “democratic” “outworn” or “21st century”, “right wing” or “progressive.” Jargon, not argument, is your best ally in keeping him from the Church. Don’t waste time trying to make him think that materialism is true! Make him think it is strong, or stark, or courageous—that it is the philosophy of the future. That’s the sort of thing he cares about.
If one attempts to engage the listener in debate that would do credit to Socrates or John Milton, the opposition just shouts one down with comments like “Well, that’s just your opinon.”
Opinions and abstractions no longer work. We need to confront our protagonists with real, indisputable, hard facts, documenting What? When? Where? How? Why? and Who? from health, criminal and other agencies. And for this we need to do our homework, or at least log into those web sites, like Gayconspiracy.com that have done the hard graft of collecting the data. Allow me to give a sample of the kind of thing we need to ram down the throats of our PC brigade with the utmost martial vigour.

A once relatively cohesive society, Britain has within a short space of time fragmented into competing groups. The Equality and Human Rights Commission, though espousing equality, divides and disunites us into competing groups, based upon 1 age; 2 disability; 3 faith and belief, 4 gender, 5 race and nationality; 6 sexual orientation and 7 transgender identity.
Though on paper they enjoy equality, in reality there is naked diversity in the way this is administered. “All animals are equal but some are more equal than others.”
One of these groups, centred around the homosexual lobby, Stonewall, has arrogantly and presumptuously assumed ownership of the of the Human Rights list and dictates whose rights overrule those of all the others and who has no rights at all. Significantly three out seven of the strands are linked with sexuality. These favour homosexuals, feminists, transsexuals and trans genders. One group, however, misleadingly defined by religion, Islam, bides its time, until after society has plunged itself into anarchy, it will assume total dominance. This leaves children, babies, unborn babies, Jews and Christians with virtually no rights at all. Foxes have holes but we have nowhere to rest our heads.
The problem of attempting to define people, for the purposes of protection and giving special rights, by their age, race, physical condition, religion, sexuality and gender is that those who might be defined by other characteristics, such as by economic status,

We will find that has the gays take more and more control that words like tolerance, inclusion, non-discrimination, diversity, equality and all the other disgusting words the gay legions have commandeered, disappear. Indeed they are disappearing already. They have used these words to disarm us and once disarmed they intend to dominate us with a clunking fist. There are no diverse gay families, they are almost uniformly lesbian.
David Skinner, UK
The Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transsexual movement have mistakenly appropriated the rainbow to symbolise diversity, so that each of the different colours represents a distinct and immutable relationship: red (or pink), perhaps representing gays; blue lesbian; with maybe yellow representing bisexuals.
But the reality is that the colours would more accurately symbolise genders, with the cool colours, ranging from purple through blue to yellowy green representing males whilst opposing and complementing them, the warm colours, ranging from yellow through red to purpley crimson represent the females. The colour wheel is therefore divided into two opposing halves and not six.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:BYR_color_wheel.svg
The behaviour or nature of the individual colours change depending upon the colours with which they are paired. For example, red placed side by side with either purple or orange will look very different when placed alongside green. In the former relationships the colours, though similar, will appear to be discordant and clashing, heterogeneous, whilst in the latter, though placed on opposite sides of the spectrum they will appear more intense and yet balanced- homogeneous. They complement one another.
“When one stares at a single colour (red for example) for a sustained period of time (roughly thirty seconds to a minute), then looks at a white surface, an afterimage of the complementary colour (green blue) will appear. This is one of several after effects studied in the psychology of which are generally ascribed to fatigue in specific parts of the visual system.
It is the binary relationship of the cool half of the colour circle with its other warm half and not the individual colours that can be described as homogenous and not heterogeneous. And just as green and red will appear to be more intense when paired with one another so a man and woman will appear to be more intensely male and female when paired together.
So ladies and gentleman, the original 19th century queer gentlemen, like Kertbeny and Ulrick, got their Greek mixed up, especially with hetero and homo.

It’s gotten worse in the US – Obama and Sebelius have decided to sponsor a ‘pride’ program for LBGT, etc. (is there any limit?) youth.
This is outrageous when the latest CDC reports show the huge increase in incidence of HIV, Syphillis, HPV and other STDs, cancers, bodily injuries and violence in those who engage in same-sex acts and the increase of suicide, depression, violence and STDs in those young people who are sexually active. P*rn*graphy is also an addictive activity that is spreading among teens and is capturing and corrupting their minds and is proven by research to lead to criminal acts.
I would like for a group of parents to sue this administration for promoting unhealthy, morally corrupting and dangerous acts and identities among young people. Condoms do not prevent disease or save lives. Is this irresponsibility or malevolence on their part?
Sibyl Smith
Sibyl; …And speaking of class actions, surely the government sponsored “safe sex” compaign (i.e. wearing of c*nd*ms) is wide open to a legal challenge, especially by anyone they failed to “protect”.
“Safe Sex” is a big claim.
They are not safe. Our governments lied.

So much for diversity. Here we have the naked face of gay bigotry and strutting pride in the broad light of day.
Their rage and defiance is paraded here as they confidently demand that the gates of heaven open wide to accept not only their diversity and defiance but deviance, delusion, duplicity, degeneracy and death.
It is not coming; it is here already

Hi Bill, thanks again for a helpful article.
Stan Fishley
Well done Bill. However, you might have included pedophiles as presently, as I understand it, pedophiles are organizing to use the same ‘anti-discrimination’ campaign to push for their so called rights.
I object to a noble word “gay” being used to describe that which can only be described as an abomination. If theses homosexuals are so proud of being such (queer etc) then why seek to change the name or is it just another attempt at deception? Funny how the HIV/AIDS and the homosexual question set out to deceive the body (society) to disarm and accept. The HIV/AIDS does exactly the same thing with the host (the human body). The disease convinces the host that there is no danger and should not discriminate. The end results are well known.
I vehemently, object to these homosexuals getting their clutches on our children! In the first instance, they cannot have their own as their conduct is by all implication – a degeneracy. So then they set out to grab children from heterosexuals which means that we become human production machines for them.
I have no doubt that the push by the glbtiq (homosexuals, lesbian, bisexual, transvestites, queer) to legalise marriage to them is not a push to be recognised under the sanctity of marriage but a concerted effort to have a legal right to our children.
Marriage was never a licence to live together; have sex; cohabit ate; share wealth etc. it was a recognition that two people were responsible enough, physical able, lawfully appropriate etc. to undertake the enormous responsibility to have and rear children. See the adoption laws for verification.
A pity that Cameron (UK PM), Obama, (US President) and so many others are not clever enough to have figured this out because if they did or have then I deem them to have betrayed our children as we do when we do nothing to stop our children being dragged away by the so called glbtiq!!!
