Diabolical Delusions Deceiving Many

Can the deception get any worse than this?

Satan is real. Sin is real. The fall is real. And deception is real. But too many folks do not believe in any of these realities. As a result, they end up fully falling victim to them. They are bound by diabolical deception, and they do not even know it is happening.

And this is not just true of Joe Pagan. It is true of those claiming to be Christians yet absolutely deny God, his truth, and what his Word clearly teaches. No wonder the Bible repeatedly warns about how easy it is to be deceived, how active the devil is, and how we must all be on guard against the lies of the enemy.

Consider the recent story of some guy who claims to be a Christian, who now claims to be a woman, and who dumped his wife and three kids in order to be ‘true to himself.’ Worse yet, he is an Anglican vicar of all things. As one write-up puts it:

The Church of England’s ‘first’ non-binary vicar said it was ‘difficult’ when they came out to their wife and three children after having a ‘moment of revelation’ while reading the story of Adam and Eve. Bingo Allison, 36, who defines as gender-queer and uses the pronouns ‘they/them’, experienced an epiphany seven years ago while reading Genesis 1-3 in the Old Testament.

The vicar, who works in Liverpool, said they came to terms with their gender identity while reading the story and realised: ‘There’s space in God’s creation for change and transformation, just because you’re created one way doesn’t mean that you can’t live another’. Bingo also said their wife found things ‘difficult’ when they first came out because ‘obviously you marry what you think it a straight guy and obviously things are more complicated than that’. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11591517/Britains-non-binary-CofE-priest-says-God-guided-truth.html

Oh dear. Which is worse: someone living in complete delusion or idiots in the media who go along with it? You will have to ignore these dingbats for using the word “they” when speaking about him. Lying to oneself is bad enough, but when others go along with this, we really are headed for civilisational collapse.

But ‘Bingo’ (which sorta tells us all we need to know about the guy) is a real piece of work here. The amount of absolute lunacy coming from his lips is quite something to behold. The article goes on to say this:

In a speech to a panel on making churches more inclusive, Bingo said Christianity had historically been guilty of prioritising the views of ‘rich, white, straight, cisgender, able-bodied, neurotypical men’. Explaining that they are also autistic and dyspraxic, Bingo wrote: ‘I am passionate about fully including neurodivergent people in the life and faith of the Church, particularly in our telling and retelling of stories from the Bible.

Bingo, who previously trained to become a priest in Durham, said the Church of England was ‘open to me coming out’ but added that it was ‘difficult’ for some people they had worked with ‘because for them I was the first transgender person they had worked with closely’. They have since moved to the Liverpool Diocese ‘which does so much to support and empower LGBT people’ and they have found their new congregation ‘wonderful’….

‘The history of biblical interpretation is littered with the opinions of rich, white, straight, cisgender, able-bodied, neurotypical men assuming that everyone in the passages that they read thought like them and perceived the world like them. The biases that this creates exclude anyone who doesn’t fit from fully engaging with the Bible, and often lead the church to miss out on vital perspective on all sorts of biblical narratives.’

Oh for heaven’s sake! Give me a break. The Bible was also not written by black, lesbian Martian dolphins, thereby obviously showing complete insensitivity to and prejudice against black, lesbian Martian dolphins. It might be time to start a new protest movement here. Enough of the biblical bigotry that does not take into account this victimised group.

But it keeps getting worse. Another online newspaper says the following about how he “saw the light” on this:

It wasn’t until seven years ago when they first came across the term gender-queer that “everything suddenly clicked”. Bingo considered putting their new-found identity on hold whilst they finished their vicar training – at this point, they were only halfway through the seven-year programme – but this proved harder than they initially expected….

It was while writing an essay on how God created the earth that Bingo had an epiphany. They said the language which the bible originally used in Genesis 1:27 spoke about “from maleness to femaleness” as opposed to men and women. They added: “I was sitting there in the middle of the night when I realised I might need to run my life upside down. It was a deepening spiritual experience, I properly felt God was guiding me into this new truth about myself. One of the things that has kept with my ministry ever since is that transition and coming out can and should be a spiritual experience, as well as an emotional and social and sometimes physical one. There is something beautiful about growing into who we were created to be and growing into our authentic selves.” https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/church-england-priest-how-god-25771430

Good grief, what utter nonsense. The verse he mentions says this:

So God created man in his own image,
    in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

The obvious reason why the various English versions will have such a rendering is simply because that is the best way to translate the passage. It has absolutely nothing to do with “from maleness to femaleness”. And the rest of the Genesis creation account of man and woman is also properly translated in our English Bibles.

Genesis 2:24 for example says this: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” And when Jesus referred to that passage, the English versions are also being faithful to the original languages. As we find in Matthew 19:3-5:

And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one’s wife for any cause?” He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?”

So there has been no tampering with the text here. In the same way, there was no tampering with the Bible to censor out all its passages on black, lesbian Martian dolphins. Such things were not suppressed nor covered up – they simply were never in the text in the first place.

But when you want above all else to make excuses for your delusions and seek to justify your sinful and anti-biblical lifestyle, then every idiotic trick in the book will be utilised. Just make stuff up as you go along. Even claim to have an ‘epiphany’.

Guess what bud: this was NOT some divine revelation you had, but a work of satanic deception which you happily fell for, hook, line and sinker. This is always the way these things go: when you deliberately and defiantly reject God and his Word, you completely open up yourself to Satan and his wiles. You become easy pickings for the enemy of God who is the enemy of truth.

This guy is a prime example of this. He does not need to be affirmed, celebrated, championed and promoted. He needs to repent and seek God’s forgiveness. We can pray that he will change his ways and renounce the devil and all his works. Until that happens, he is simply one blind man leading others who are also blind.

And the prayer we can pray might well echo what we find in 2 Timothy 2:25-26, that “God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.”

Moreover, to the extent that he is especially trying to lead children into this diabolical error, he better be aware that millstones are the recommended response according to Jesus himself (Mark 9:42). This is very serious stuff indeed. God have mercy on the Church of England.

  1. Crazy stuff! Alice from Wonderland would rightly describe this insanity as “Curiouser and curiouser”, as might a rational psychiatrist. Our world increasingly abounds with irrational beliefs, as you’ve outlined Bill, which are absolute delusions, defying normal reasoning. But, but one wonders why the media, woke brigade, and governments vehemently support these delusions, even using punishing legislation.
I fear common sense and decency have flown out the window, along with proper medical diagnosis and care of the myriad of mentally ill amongst us.
(I must admit to not being aware of the plight of black, lesbian Martian dolphins. Perhaps there’s a gofundme page on which we can support this misunderstood, minority group of fellow mammals.)

  2. And the icing on the cake is this ridiculous pronoun rubbish. Having grown up speaking actual English, they/them is just confusing. Which they/them? The nutter or the congregation? Then again, I suppose there are mentions of they/them in the Bible: “Then Jesus asked him, ‘What is your name?’ ‘My name is Legion,” he replied, “For we are many.”

  3. Quite right Wes. I had just shared that on the social media about this story:

Mark 5:8-9 comes to mind: “For he was saying to him, ‘Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!’ And Jesus asked him, ‘What is your name?’ He replied, ‘My name is Legion, for we are many’.”

  4. Can’t even get his story straight. He said “ They added: “I was sitting there in the middle of the night when I realised I might need to run my life upside” They said “I”- wouldn’t they said be “we said”? And his world being upside down. Might explain where he’s talking from.

  5. The pro nouns ‘they/them’ remind me of “legion…for we are many”.

    Just saying.

  6. It may seem like lunacy until you encounter it directly. I have a niece who is (or claims to be) non binary. They are serving as as a young Army Officer having successfully completed training at ADFA. This person is not a “lunatic”. Officer training is a tough gig. I know because I did it. Anyway, Jesus died for this person as He did for you and me. A little compassion may be in order.

  7. Thanks John. But sadly you have completely missed the point, not only of this article, but really about everything I have ever written on this and related subjects. Let me try to lay things out for you as briefly and simply as I can:

-I of course nowhere called your niece a lunatic. I did not even know you had a niece! This piece is about an Anglican vicar and the damage he is doing, as he twists the Word of God in diabolical ways to justify his lifestyle. Did you actually read the whole article, or did you prefer just to run with a knee-jerk reaction? And do you think the priest is right in what he is saying and doing?

-Sorry, but the idea that we basically cannot comment on anything ‘until we encounter it directly’ is the standard line used to justify all things. It is used to say we cannot speak out against abortion for example unless we are female and unless we have abortions. This is just foolish. I can denounce rape or whatever, even though I have never experienced it personally.

-Of course we are to have compassion and pray for everyone, whether a homosexual, a trans person, a drug addict, or a bank robber. But obviously we are to love them in the biblical sense of the word. That always means willing the highest good for the other person. Loving a homosexual means wanting to see them set free from a risky and dead-end lifestyle. Loving a trans person is not catering to their delusion and not being happy with them lopping bits off and causing irreversible physical damage to themselves, but wanting them to get mental, psychological and spiritual help. And had you actually read my whole piece, you would have seen that I DID urge folks to pray for him and others like him.

-As I have often said, if we have a person who is anorexic and identifies as being overweight, and is close to dying because she is so underweight, is it really compassionate and loving to go along with this harmful delusion and encourage the person in that? How can anyone claiming to be a Christian just pretend everything is fine in this situation? How can we say God is wrong when he clearly said he made us male or female? It is always tragic when concern for someone we know causes us to jettison Scripture.

-But in this case I was NOT talking about some person that you might know, but an Anglican priest who is misleading many. Approving of those who are twisting Scripture and misleading people into a lost eternity is hardly a loving or compassionate thing to do. If a loved one comes out in any sinful lifestyle, we still love them, but we love them enough to want them to be set free, because Jesus is in the transformation business. How anyone claiming to be a biblical Christian can not understand all this is a mystery to me. It really is. But I will pray for you and your niece.

  8. Makes me truly think of what Jesus said about he that teaches falsehood to these little ones it be better for him to not be born. Also don’t forget the millstone!

  9. A question might be how this person (hereinafter “X”) exercises the “cure of souls” – X’s parishioners. Most of them will be dependent on the scholarship of others past and present to understand Hebrew scripture. Do we know how it gets, in the view of X, to have in it, “From maleness to femaleness”. Does X explain the supposed error in translation? How does X translate the text? It might benefit the parish if X took a sabbatical and worked out how to explain X’s new outlook. I assume that the church authorities are dealing with the situation in some way, but the story is new to me although I Iive in the UK

  10. Bill, what I find interesting is how many pro trans atheist would say this man isn’t delusional for believing that he’s non binary, but because he claims he got a vision of God to become one. It’s really bizarre how much of the beliefs surrounding what being transgender is would require an actual soul that got put into the wrong body. There’s no way in a world where materialism or matter is all that there is would make it somehow possible for someone to be born into the wrong body.

  11. I have encountered this directly myself, John B, with my son, and a direct encounter with lunacy, whether spoken by a family member or someone else close to us, does not suddenly turn lunacy into sense. Claiming that the world is flat is lunacy whether my mother says it or a scientist.

Nor does calling something ‘lunacy’ imply a lack of compassion for the person expressing or believing in the ‘lunacy.’ And just because a person shows strength and fortitude and brilliance in one area doesn’t mean that they possess these qualities in every area of life. My son has a brilliant mind and is trained in computer software, as well as a trained physicist, and helps a charity group serve up Christmas dinner to the homeless some years, showing much compassion himself, but he speaks lunacy when it comes to biology, genetics and DNA. I have knowledge in some areas of life but would speak pure lunacy in my lack of knowledge of other areas.

I do not like the implication that because I claim that my son speaks lunacy that I lack compassion for him. I have more compassion for him and love him more than anyone who is aiding and abetting him in his delusion. How can it be loving to affirm someone in a lie? How can it be loving to allow someone to mutilate themselves because of this specific delusion, and how can it at the same time be not loving to allow an anorexic to have liposuction?

Many have accused me of not loving my son because I won’t go along with his delusions – he has accused me himself and ceased contact with me. These accusing people do not have a clue what love is. Those who go along with such delusions are more worried and concerned about losing a relationship than the well being of the person – they don’t want to give that up – it is a shallow version of love. But the deepest love takes the deepest risks for the loved one, and of necessity this will mean sacrifice. To take a stand against something that would harm a loved one of necessity risks rejection but where such love exists it is the only viable option.

It is not easy to risk rejection. To be prepared to do so is love of the highest order. And we all know who was the supreme example of that – He risked rejection – and got it – with a love that saved the world – for the joy set before Him.

  12. There are no normal means of communication with such moronic people. They are lost in sheer darkness and evil and the only thing that can be said to them and the media (anyone pushing this garbage) is to call them to repentance and tell them of God’s judgment on all sin. The antithesis.

I studied at a liberal theological college, and they could explain anything from any text. Meaning is what they want it to be.
