Propaganda Replaces Education

If you have noted how our public school system today seems to be far more about political correctness, radical social engineering, and the brainwashing of our children instead of actual education, then you would be absolutely right. But if you thought all this has just happened by accident, you would be absolutely wrong.

For decades now the radicals have been hard at work, actively and deliberately targeting our educational system to ensure that only their militant social engineering agenda takes place. All other contrary points of view are to be carefully and thoroughly banished from the classroom.

The sad truth is, the activists want to control the minds and hearts of our children. They want nothing less than complete control and domination of what little Johnny and Sarah hear, see, learn and digest. They want to fully indoctrinate and brainwash our children. And they are succeeding spectacularly.

Ah, but you demur: “Bill, surely you are imagining things here. You are going over the top aren’t you? I know things are pretty bad in our schools, but you make it sound like there is some orchestrated campaign underway to subvert our children.”

Yes that is exactly what I am suggesting, and there is abundant empirical proof of this. Here I want to focus on just one clear-cut example. It demonstrates conclusively that the radical social engineers have been planning and working at the complete control of how your children think and feel when it comes to areas of sexuality and related issues.

I offer to you as Exhibit A, the “Australian Education Union Policy on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex People” as adopted at the 2006 Annual Federal Conference of the AEU. So utterly radical and totalitarian is this document, that I urge you to read it for yourself (see the link below). Indeed, don’t even bother reading more here of what I have to say. Just read the entire document for yourself and see how this comes in the best tradition of Big Brother, the Marxists, and the Nazis.

It is a document laying out a clear agenda: the total control and domination of every single boy and girl in Australian public education to the never-ending demands of the militant homosexual lobby. It is brain-washing, thought-control and indoctrination at its best.

Nothing and no one is to escape from this call for absolute mind control. And this is all for good reason. As any totalitarian outfit knows, to ensure complete control of the populace, all sources of ideas and information have to be fully controlled.

That is especially true of the education system. Everything being taught by the school system must accord with the demands and ideology of the activists in charge. Every area of the curriculum, every subject, and every class, must reflect and endorse the ideology and agenda of the social engineers.

We get this running throughout this incredible ten-page policy statement. The introductory paragraph alone is enough to make you gag: “The Australian Education Union is committed to protecting the industrial and professional and civil rights of its members and the rights of all Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (GLBTI) people throughout the world. Discriminatory practices such as homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, heterosexism, and monosexism are infringements of members’ rights and as such are to be challenged and eliminated.”

Wow, what a mouthful of PC propaganda. And check out that list of horrendous “discriminatory practices”. Consider the great sin of “heterosexism”. Do you know what this horrific evil is?  The AEU tells us exactly what it is: “The assumption that heterosexual sex and relationships are ‘natural’ or ‘normal’.”

There you have it folks. And there you foolishly thought that men and women enjoy a complementarity, and wonderfully match one another in reciprocal and interdependent relationship. Sorry folks, but to actually believe that men and women are different, that they complement each other, and that our very bodies are designed for male-female sexuality is a despicable and intolerable form of “discrimination” which must be stamped out at all costs.

How dare our children ever be taught that the male and female genders differ considerably. How dare they be taught that it is normal for children to come from the sexual union of a man and a woman, and that this is somehow natural.

The AEU will absolutely ensure that no child will ever foolishly think that it is natural for male sexual anatomy to somehow complement and perfectly match female sexual anatomy. The AEU will darn well make sure that no child ever is so thoughtlessly discriminatory to insist that only a male electrical plug can fit into a female electrical power point.

How ghastly for children to even think such things. We must thank the AEU for rescuing our children from all these diabolical and plainly unacceptable notions. And don’t get me started on the utter evil of “biphobia” or “monosexism”. How utterly perverted and despicable that children should be taught that just one sexual partner of the other gender is how civilised societies have always operated.

Fortunately the AEU is leaving none of this to chance. They have demanded that every single government in the country instantly and without question implement every single demand found in this document. They make this perfectly clear:

“As a matter of urgency we call on the Federal and State Governments to ensure their discrimination laws cover all aspects of law relating to GLBTI people. These must include laws on marriage, IVF, adoption, and age of consent. Because most states and territories have laws on age of consent which are different for same sex attracted men, the message being delivered to young GLBTI people is that they are not equal. All states and territories should ensure that they have Police Gay and Lesbian Liaison Officers (GLLO) who can be used as positive resources for schools and colleges.”

They sure like to use that “all” word; there are to be absolutely no exceptions to any of this. Every single government will force every single school to ensure that every single student in the nation is fully subservient to the militant homosexual agenda. They are to be no exemptions, and if the AEU can get its way, they would fine or imprison any recalcitrants.

But did the AEU actually go that far in this document? No, because they have already done so elsewhere. Back in 1995 they called for mandatory AIDS and sex education for all students, beginning in primary school. The courses should include “positive information about gays and lesbians,” they said. They also insisted that not only should these classes be mandatory for all students, but parents who ban their children from attending such courses for religious and cultural reasons should be prosecuted by the law! I kid you not. See my new book for complete documentation of this.

And no school or teacher or staff member dare think he can weasel out of any of this: “The Departments of Education in each state must ensure that their policies relating to GLBTI are up-to-date and implemented. Under no circumstances should they be left only to be used when addressing occasional incidents or when a teacher shows an interest. All staff must be inserviced on homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, heterosexism and monosexism.”

“Under no circumstances.” The Nazis would have been proud of such totalitarianism. And just in case this was not clear enough, we get more of the same: “Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia, Heterosexism and Monosexism must be included in the content of pre-service training of all teachers.”

Moreover, there is only one way to teach all this: only pro-homosexual views will be allowed, nothing else. As the document informs us, “Any teacher-directed presentation or discussion of GLBTI issues in a class situation should be positive in approach.”

And they don’t even pretend to be doing all this merely in the name of “education”. They actually spill the beans that they are in fact aggressively pushing a particular worldview. It is known as secular humanism, and the AEU is up to its ears in it. They even admit to this:

“While some groups and their members are to be commended for their positive common sense and humanist approach to GLBTI issues others are to be condemned for their discriminative attitudes and approaches. The AEU calls on all such groups to take a positive humanist approach to GLBTI issues.”

No other approaches will be tolerated. There will certainly be no Christian approaches here. The AEU insists that there is only room for one ideology and worldview in Australian schools, and that must be secular humanism.

But as I say, don’t take my word for any of this. Read this miserable document for yourself. One really does wonder if they modelled this on some old Communist or Fascist policy paper. The Stazi and Gaystapo would be so proud to see their handiwork all over this AEU paper.

So this is what passes for education nowadays. It of course has absolutely nothing to do with education, and everything to do with mass brainwashing, with mind control, and with a ruthless and totalitarian campaign of indoctrination.

No wonder so many concerned parents are withdrawing their kids from these PC hotbeds. They have had enough of the brainwashing, and want their children to have genuine education by real teachers, not militant homosexual thought police turning their kids into PC zombies.

  1. Is it any wonder after reading this that “illegal” home schooling has exploded, is it any wonder that parents are not informing the Nazi’s of their homeschooling? Personally I am glad I no longer need to be involved in this personally (the schooling part). Is there anyone we can contact in regards to this? Is there a petition available to combat this?

We really do seem to be on the cusp of the second coming just looking at what is happening all over the world, if taken as parts of a jigsaw puzzle to make a very large and scary picture.

  2. Hi Bill – This infiltration has been going on for a long time. When I was a Marxist revolutionary in Toronto, Canada, back in the late 60’s to 1971 members of my group were explicitly targeting taking jobs in education (beginning with pre-school!) in order to begin feeding their ideas to the kids, including the ideas of the newly emerging radical homosexual movement. Now they have taken over, the fruit of a long campaign.
    Ed Sherman, Holland

  3. Thanks Ed

Hey, we have very identical past lives in this regard. I too was very much involved with the revolutionary agenda during that time, and we especially targeted the education system, knowing that if we could subvert it we could much more easily topple society and remake it in our radical image.

  4. Neil, that’s also why government regulation of home education has been expanded in every jurisdiction.

The last State to fall was Victoria (2006/7) where we lost the fight against a rampant power-mad ALP government, sadly aided by a weak Opposition (the Libs in the Coalition and the Independent camps failed to hold the line; the Nats were consistently opposed to the Reform Act, but it wasn’t enough).

The present Education Minister was not sympathetic to the idea of home education. He took up our cause on the basis of the then government’s attacks upon individual freedom but he never subscribed to the fundamental point that Government doesn’t need to monopolise and control education. He nodded to the UN Covenant on Civil and Political Rights but didn’t pursue it.

  5. Neil, I am happy to yarn about the background off list. Do you live in Melbourne?

  6. When I hear about this sort of thing being pushed on kids it makes me very angry. It won’t be long and we will be seeing 9 and 10 year old boys in primary school holding hands, kissing and so on. It makes me feel sick. I have to keep telling myself God is in control, God is in control. Please God help us.
    Greg Sadler

  7. Thanks Greg

Yes there is great comfort in knowing that he is in control. But there is also great responsibility in knowing that he commands us to be salt and light in our world, and stand for what is right and resist what is evil. He will certainly do his part, but we must do our part as well.

  8. Hi Bill,

I think the only 2 places that may not accept this kind of teaching would be in home schooling situations and special schools. Lets hope so, our special school girl would not have a clue what they were talking about anyway.

We had put in writing prior, no Harry Potter or Witchcraft….so now we will have to add this also. My suggestion to all parents are to put their wishes in writing to the school about what is to be excluded from their child’s teaching. Many religions, other than Christianity would also be against this.

  9. Neil. Re your comment “Is it any wonder after reading this that “illegal” home schooling…”

Can you clarify for me – do I take it that home schooling in Australia is actually illegal? Here in the UK it is not (yet) although I see the day coming when it may well be, as increasingly parents, and particularly Christians, see where their State education is going.

    Graham Wood, UK

  10. Surely the end is not far off? how much lower can we go ? God have mercy on us all.

  11. While home schooling is a great alternative to state education for Christian parents, they should also consider Christian schools. Not all Christian schools are equal, of course, so parents must do their homework. But there are certainly some that are committed to upholding the Bible as the supreme standard of truth in the classroom across all subject areas, including human sexuality. It is my privilege to serve as a director on the board of one such school in Sydney.
Personally, I am at a loss to understand why any Christian parent would send his or her child to a state school, knowing the agenda of the AEU and the secular humanists who now control the system. Bill, your exposé tells us nothing new in this regard but is a timely reminder nonetheless of the critical situation in which we find ourselves in this nation today. Education of children by the state was a dubious proposition from the outset and now, 130 years or so later, is clearly demonstrated to be a total disaster.

  12. In reality in how many kinds of classes would teachers be able to teach these ideas about sexuality? – maths? art? music? sport? science? It seems that the the union members who formulated this document must have been high on something – fantasising they have enormous power to ride roughshod over other people’s ideas of reality. Almost half the population do not agree to gay marriage. What the union proposes is outrageous.
    Anne-Marie Modra

  13. Thanks Anne-Marie

Yes it is outrageous and yes it does seem they must all be high, but unfortunately they are dead serious, and they want to do the very thing you mention: they want the homosexual agenda promoted everywhere. If there is a class on basket-weaving they would want this agenda pushed there as well.

  14. Re: Graham Wood – Can you clarify for me – do I take it that homeschooling in Australia is actually illegal?

It is legal here Graham, it is just that most parents don’t register their kids with the Dept of Education so technically they are homeschooling illegally…there have been a number of articles in the newspapers about it recently.

  15. The first thing that clergy need to do is call church meetings and educate parents as to what is happening to their children within school. The most dangerous place for baby to be is within the mother’s womb. The second most dangerous place for a child to be – that is, if it survives its mothers taste for infanticide and even for her own child’s flesh (it won’t be long before mothers take home the remains of their children to cook for supper), is the school.
One of the best spokesmen for the gay agenda is Peter Tatchell. Why is it that no one bothers to read him.
In “Beyond Equality” he writes: “In many ways, our transcending of heterosexual mores is a positive and immensely liberating experience. Compared with most straights, queers tend to be more sexually adventurous with a wider repertoire of sexual behaviour, less bound by the strictures of traditional morality, and more experimental in terms of relationships. We don’t need a marriage certificate to validate our partnerships”
“Although getting rid of homophobic discrimination is a laudable aim, it doesn’t go far enough. Ending anti-gay bias will not resolve all the problems faced by lesbian and gay people. Some of our difficulties arise not from homophobia, but from the more general eroto-phobic and sex-negative nature of contemporary culture.”
“We get equality, but at a price. The cost to our community is the surrender of our unique, distinctive queer identity. The unwritten social contract at the heart of law reform is that lesbians and gays will behave respectably and comply with the heterosexual moral agenda. No more cruising, orgies or sadomasochism!”
    http://www.petertatchell.net/lgbt_rights/equality_not_enough/beyond_equality.htm
Then again in “Teenage Sex- What Should Schools Teach Children?” he writes: “Until very recent times, all sex education was overwhelmingly biased towards promoting heterosexuality, marriage, parenthood and traditional family life. Anything outside this exclusive framework was either ignored or condemned……”
“This old-style monocultural sex moralism is now totally out of sync with our modern multicultural society where there is a great diversity of cultures and communities, lifestyles and love-lives.”
    “…Nothing must be off limits.”
“Sex education, to be effective, needs to start at a very early age, beginning gently in the first year of primary school and gradually becoming more detailed and explicit at secondary level……”
“The best way to persuade teenagers to adopt oral sex and mutual masturbation is by making them look and sound sexy.”
    http://www.petertatchell.net/sex_education/schoolsex.htm
I attended the Pre-launch in November 2009 to the 2010 LGBT History Month at the British Museum. Incidentally the director of the British Museum is Neil Mcgregor, a homosexual. In the morning I tagged onto a party of school children being conducted around the museum who were shown artefacts that normalised homosexuality and paedophilia. During the afternoon members of the education system – teachers, union leaders, activists got up onto the platform to peddle their wares. In the evening the then homosexual Secretary of State for Culture and Sport, Ben Bradshaw, homosexual MEP Ian Cashman and Trevor Philips, the chief of the Equality and Human Rights Commission(Leninist useful idiot) also made public appearances.
If folks want to get a flavour of that event just watch a few of the contributors, especially that of the gay muslim, Pav Akhtar:
    http://lgbthistorymonth.org.uk/events/pre-launch-reports/2010-pre-launch/
War has been declared on us and our children by the gay lobby and we will have to act very soon if we are not become totally dominated by this coalition of Marxist fascist degenerates.

  16. Even a lot of the Christian schools don’t have a good influence as they have to take certain curriculum in order to get their government funding. My kids were in a Christian School part-time about 10 years ago and I was quite shocked at the ‘readers’ the school provided and stopped them from bringing them home, they were very, very anti-family, with very dumbed down english. I looked in the library and picked up a few books in there from the 1950’s & 60’s and they had really good stories that had a good moral to them and were obviously designed to build character in the reader and teach them respect for others….things that are sorely missing in the younger generation now days. The social engineers must be very proud of their work!

  17. What I want to know is how this squares with all the medical evidence that affirms what an unhealthy lifestyle it is to engage sexually with someone of the same sex. When I donate blood (30th time just recently) they make no mention of this ‘orientation’ thing, just ask me lots of personal questions about behaviour. They don’t, for example, ask if I have an ‘orientation’ towards piercings or tattoos, just if I have actually had them done recently!

The AEU selling this lifestyle to children as if they were doing good – in defiance of the objective scientific fact of XX and XY chromosomes and all the ramifications of that – is exactly what Isaiah was talking about. (Whom Jesus quoted a great deal from.)

“Woe to those who call evil good
    and good evil,
    who put darkness for light
    and light for darkness,
    who put bitter for sweet
    and sweet for bitter.”
    (Isa 5:20)

    Mark Rabich

  18. Unfortunately, not everyone has to agree with gay marriage. If they can get to the kids, eventually everyone else will ‘die out’. The kids are coming up into leadership, responsibility and voting, and so the others that disagree will eventually be outnumbered.
Sadly too, many Christian children and teenagers are all for gay marriage, because they too have come under this ‘brainwashing’ and justify it (even though their elders are telling them that God hates it) by saying that God is love and therefore we cannot take a stand against them.

  19. For those in Australia who are homeschooling or just interested, I publish a free emailed monthly newsletter: ‘Families Honouring Christ’ about home-education issues, and events.

Bill, would you mind passing on to me the emails of those who are interested in receiving this?

    Thanks,

    Mansel Rogerson

  20. Graham Wood, home schooling is not illegal in Australia. ‘Illegal’ homeschooling is unregistered homeschooling, homeschooling without their constraints. Each state has it’s own particular take on it, however the gov’t has mandated that every child must receive and education to a particular level, and has made it illegal to not enroll your children with the dep’t of education – and believe me, if children are in the “system” this is enforced to the point of children being removed from their parent’s care on non-compliance. They used the argument of children being brought up illiterate and disadvantaged by ignorant parents, but methinks it smacks of Roe vs Wade… use a ‘potential outcome’ and use it to enforce something across the wider community.

Graeme, some parents just do not have the wherewithal to get their children into Christian schooling. In Australia, there are no tax breaks, and the subsidies to private schooling are relatively small, so parents who chose private schooling effectively pay toward public schools as well – a fact seemingly lost on those are so against private schooling. Personally I think that all Christian parents should consider homeschooling as the best form of schooling and, similarly, for most families is quite possible if they plan for it, but like private schooling, that is not necessarily possible in some family situations either.

  21. I have mixed emotions. Today, my beautiful wife gave birth to our fourth child (perhaps I am guilty of heterosexism?). And today my eldest daughter began ‘public’ school for the first time after having been homeschooled last year.

So on the one hand I rejoice, yet on the other, I am dismayed- is this really where our education system is going (or has gone!)

I am astonished that gender reassignment surgery is somehow considered a tax payer funded leave entitlement for teachers…

“Full job security and the right to return to work after such periods of leave, including leave for the purpose of Gender Reassignment Surgery must be a condition of the leave provisions outlined above.”

Thank you Bill for bringing this to light. My eyes will be very alert as to what my daughter shall be fed in this PC arena.

I for one am thankful for the ‘natural’ relationship I have with my wife and the consequent blessing of another child. If that is heterosexism, so be it…I wear it with pride!

  22. A few years ago, as a teacher in a Christian School, I was involved in enterprise bargaining negotiations together with our union. (The Teachers’ Award is considerably lower in our state than most other Australian states so enterprise bargaining assists in helping teachers gain a salary more closely aligned with their counterparts.) Our employer kindly agreed to this and the staff were most thankful.
However, in formulating our Workplace Agreement the QIEU (who I believe are part of the AEU but I am not completely sure), could not believe that the staff actually wanted the ‘Lifestyle Clause’ included in the Agreement. I had to speak, via phone conference, at the Industrial Relations Commission, when our agreement was to be handed down, to confirm that ‘yes’, the staff did want this clause. This clause had not been discussed at our meetings as far as I can recall. It was only when ‘our’ union suggested it, that it became an issue.
Please pray that the ‘Lifestyle Clause’, written into most Christian School Workplace Agreements, be maintained and not diluted . Pray for our Christian Principals who have the difficult task of recruiting Christian teachers who uphold traditional, Biblical values.

p.s. Graeme, I totally agree with your statement ‘…why would any Christian parent send their children to a state school…’.

p.p.s The religion of secular humanism is the religion of Australian state schools and is completely intolerant of other worldviews.

  23. Dear Bill, The Australian Education Union seems to be more interested in sex than in teaching the “3 R’s”. What sort of academic standards do they want for our Public schools?

  24. Hi all.

I completely agree that home schooling is the best way to go in today’s society. Unfortunately, with debt up to our eyeballs (we recently sold our house in Brisbane at a huge loss) we just can’t afford to live on only one income and pay it off. Fortunately, my sister stays at home with her kids and she looks after my 3 year old.

My 10 year old goes to the local Christian school of our denomination. I believe these pro homosexual ideas etc. will eventually be forced into our Christian schools who are too gutless to make a stand. I’ve recently had some conflicts with the school principle at a parents meeting last year. Some parents were upset that we taught baptism by immersion with the resulting decision that we refrained from teaching it anymore. Whatever your views on the subject, we should be able to teach what we believe the bible teaches in our school! I asked the principle if he was so quick to collapse under the pressure of a few parents how quickly will he collapse under governmental pressure to adopt the humanist worldview in our curriculum. His reply was something along the lines of ‘your over exaggerating the issue’. This article seems to back up the fact that I’m not exaggerating at all! Thanks Bill.

  25. The idea of teaching ‘homosexual issues’ into a range of subjects isn’t new.
A year ago, The Telegraph reported that lesson plans have been prepared in Britain, backed by the Dept of Education…
    See http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/8275937/Gay-lessons-in-maths-geography-and-science.html
These were some of the subject areas proposed:
    Maths – teaching statistics through census findings about the number of homosexuals in the population, and using gay characters in scenarios for maths problems;
    Design and technology – encouraging pupils to make symbols linked to the gay rights movement;
    Science – studying animal species where the male takes a leading role in raising young, such as emperor penguins and sea horses, and staging class discussions on different family structures, including same-sex parents;
    Geography – examining the transformation of San Francisco’s Castro district in the 1960s from a working-class Irish area to the world’s first “gay neighbourhood”, and considering why homosexuals move from the countryside to cities;
Languages – using gay characters in role play scenarios, and teaching “LGBT vocabulary”.

Melanie Phillips provided an insightful commentary on that proposal!
She begins: “Here’s a question shortly coming to an examination paper near you. What have mathematics, geography or science to do with homosexuality?
Nothing at all, you say? Zero marks for you, then.
For, mad as this may seem, schoolchildren are to be bombarded with homosexual references in maths, geography and science lessons as part of a Government-backed drive to promote the gay agenda. . .”

  26. I have often wondered why the list of people who do certain wrong things in the book of revelation includes cowards. I guess I have always felt a certain compassion towards cowards, having personally experienced the struggle with fear and the inability-unwillingness to exit ones comfort zone for the sake of the gospel. But after having read your article, I think, I finally understand the connection.
It is most likely because of the cowardliness of Christians and I mean any kind of Christian, not just leaders that things have got as bad as they have even here in Australia. the waring against Islam and PC Propaganda in our schools has gone out for more than 20 years, at least that is how long I have been aware of it. But instead of things having gone better, seeing that at least 20 years ago, the silent majority with Christian values would have far exceeded that of the PC activists. Now that balance has tipped in favour of the PC activists, but through our cowardliness I believe, similarly to German Pastor Martin Niemoller about I didn’t stand up for the communists etc. So, if the worsening of the moral landscape is due to our cowardliness, then I can imagine the Lord being very upset with us
Someone made a comment in regard to what someone else said about mothers eating their own baby’s flesh. Please let us remember that most people are in ignorance about the spiritual realities of sin, maybe happily ignorant, but ignorant just the same, just like they were in the time when children were literally sacrificed to Baal. Deception has much to do with these things, otherwise many of these things would not happen. A reason, I believe why god hates deception as well. Many blessings

  27. heterosexism – that’s a new one.What a ridiculous notion.

I once thought that if I had kids I’d send my kids to a state school, but certainly not now that I’m aware of the rubbish they want to teach.

  28. Hi Bill. Good article.

Our society is spiralling out of control. It’s not good enough to tolerate gay and lesbians. They must now be accepted as healthy and normal relationships – despite the fact that they can never have children by normal means.

To claim that gay and lesbian relationships are not normal is likely to get the gay and lesbian lobby gnashing their teeth and foaming at their mouth.

  29. What can we / I practically do to reverse the authority of “secular humanism” trying to rule in public schools please?
    Julie Worsley

  30. Thanks Julie

There would be plenty of things one can do. Get together with other concerned parents and discuss and pray about these matters. Get onto the school board, or school council, or other positions of authority and leadership. Get to know the school teachers and principle, etc and let them know of your concerns. Monitor what your kids are being dished up. Offer to be involved in any school decision making processes. Get into parent-teacher groups. Present on-side books to the school library. And so on.

More generally, vote for conservative political candidates. Spread the word about these sorts of maters to others. Get on to talk back radio. Write letters to newspapers. Contact your local MPs. And so on. For some more broad answers to how we can turn things around, see this article:

  31. Julie, you have to become an activist. Get yourself a blog or a website and start sharing your opinion. Bill is no more special than you or I; He’s just a regular guy like everyone else, but he knows he has to stand up and have his voice heard. Write letters and meet with your MPs, join committees, join political parties…

And develop a REALLY thick skin, because when you start speaking the truth, you’ll face some severe opposition.

    Marcus Anderson

  32. Yes quite right Marcus

If you do start to stand up on some of these issue you better be prepared for all out war. It is ultimately a spiritual battle so you will need spiritual cover – people praying for you etc. It will not be pleasant but it must be done – we all must take a stand.

  33. People in the entertainment industry modelling homosexual behaviour, for example women kissing in a homosexual way, can have an effect on vulnerable teenagers.

Last year in a school I know of, about 10 girls in year 8 had a substantial ‘bitch’ fight in the school after they had been indulging in a period of trying out having girlfriends instead of boyfriends. The conflict was so bad the school had to step in and get counsellors to work with the girls and the parents to resolve the situation. The deputy principal said that the girls were self-conflicted and knew instinctively what they were doing was wrong. Some parents verbally supported their girls in having whatever kind of relationship they wanted but others did not.

Another incident occurred higher up in the same school, in year 10 as I recall. One girl tried to make lesbian advances to numbers of other girls. These girls complained about this girl’s behaviour – it was unwanted. The school had to act to stop this girl accosting others. How predatory is homosexual behaviour generally? Perhaps homophobia if it exists, is innate? If so it should as a preference be legalized?

  34. Makes me very sad to think I couldn’t possibly put my 2 children in a Christian school or home school. You see my wife and me are the working poor. We have a combined income that is very small. I guess there’s no risk of becoming puffed up and full of pride, no we live by faith in God.
    Daniel Kempton

  35. Daniel – diligently teach your children the Christian faith. Children can be very resilient and be good witnesses to the truth. No school can replace the influence of loving nurturing parents – parents are paramount.

  36. Bill, may I please be granted space for an extended quote from R J Rushdoony (yes, I am somewhat of a one-drum beater!), the founder and patron saint of the Christian home-schooling movement in the United States and one who was sounding the trumpet blast of warning over State-education upwards of 40-50 years ago.

Adapted from The Philosophy of the Christian Curriculum (copied from http://chalcedon.edu/topics/education/)

“The dictionary definition of education describes it as “the impartation or acquisition of knowledge, skill, or discipline of character.” The function of education is thus to school persons in the ultimate values of a culture. This is inescapably a religious task. Education has always been a religious function of society and closely linked to its religion. When a state takes over the responsibilities for education from the church or from Christian parents, the state has not thereby disowned all religions but simply disestablished Christianity in favor of its own statist religion, usually a form of humanism. An excellent means of analyzing the religion of any culture is to study its concept of education.

“Not only does education find its foundation in religion, but the educational curriculum expresses the religious standards and expectations of a culture. The Latin word curriculum, from which the English word is taken without change of spelling, means a running, a race course, chariot, and is cognate with the Latin verb, currere, to run. A curriculum is thus the chariot, race course, or vehicle whereby a culture expresses its religious faith and standards.

“The basic premise of the state school’s curriculum is humanism, relativistic humanism. The liberal arts, the arts of freedom, involve the abandonment of God, truth, and law for the affirmation of man. This is an unconditional affirmation: all things are relative to man and have a pragmatic truth in relationship to him.

“A Christian curriculum must be developed, therefore. The centrality of Biblical instruction is basic to the liberal arts of Christian education. But the rest of the curriculum must be revised in terms of Christian liberty, the arts of Christian freedom and dominion under God. Only by reclaiming the entire curriculum as the curriculum of Christian liberty, as the Christian liberal arts course, can education be again a liberating force, and man be delivered from the devastating and enslaving forces of amoral statism and anarchistic individualism. A Christian curriculum is thus a major and urgent necessity.

“A state curriculum to be true to itself must teach statism. A Christian curriculum to be true to itself must be in every respect Christian.”

    Steve Swartz

  37. Agree 100% with you bill, but the many references to Nazi’s and gestapo is detracting from your very logical and strong arguments. I have no doubt that history will view these ‘broad’ and ‘open minded’ views as the oppressive narrow mindedness that has been repeated in history many times over. Though I cant think of freedom being used to take away so much freedom. It really is a clever tactic. Its as you say, such a shame that so many get sucked in.

  38. It is vitally necessary for the totalitarian/fascistic state to destroy the family and obtain total control of children (and reproduction). Politicians’ comments about “strengthening the family” (one hears this kind of thing from Britain’s pm, from time to time) are just aimed at appeasing, and further deceiving, the “reactionary” sectors of the population (eg. people like us).
    John Thomas, UK

  39. Thanks Russell

But here I think we may have a case of: if it talks like a duck, walks like a duck…. These blatant efforts at thought control, the control of all opinion and beliefs, and the moulding of minds, etc., is exactly what characterises totalitarian and fascist societies. So I believe it is entirely fitting in this case to use such terminology to describe and characterise such groups. They are doing the very same things the Communists and Nazis did.

  40. Thanks Kerrie and Garth for the info re home schooling.
Slightly off topic, but related in terms of the use of propaganda. Here the next really big issue we in the UK will face the move by our government to legalise homosexual marriage, and it will be highly contentious. Apart from the obvious objection (to us on this blog!) but not to our many ignorant MPs that marriage is a unique Biblical concept, I suspect that there will be many non Christians also who will object to a “gay” marriage law.
The Christian website “Anglican Mainstream” regularly features objections to the “gay” agenda, and recently a Lisa Nolland made seven excellent points re practical objections to the proposals. I combined these in a letter sent to all C of E bishops & two Arbishops, which I reproduce below, for the benefit of others who may find the points helpful in any coming battle which you ‘down under’ may soon face.

    Dear Bishop.
I’m sure you will be aware of the proposals by our government to legalise homosexual ‘marriage’, and of the reported comments by the Archbishop of York in opposing them, upholding traditional marriage, and his assertion – “I don’t think it is the role of the state to define what marriage is”.
A similar view was also expressed by the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Glasgow, Mario Conti:
“Those in government need to be respectfully reminded that a mandate to govern does not include a mandate to reconstruct society on ideological grounds, nor to undermine the very institution which, from the beginning, has been universally acknowledged as the natural order and the bedrock of society…. we weaken it at our peril”
I write therefore to ask that you support these Archbishops in their reiteration of the traditional Christian position.

Further, when the Home Secretary Teresa May was asked by Archbishop Peter Smith what additional rights marriage would give homosexual couples that they did not already have under the Civil Partnership Act, she was unable to give an answer.

I believe that the Bible’s teaching about the unique status of monogamous, heterosexual marriage between one man and one woman for life is abundantly clear and therefore does not need re-defining. It has been rightly expressed “modern loving homosexual relationships are incompatible with God’s created order, and since that order is heterosexual monogamy which was established by creation, not culture, its validity is both permanent and universal” (John Stott).

There are also many pragmatic arguments for Christian opposition to these proposals which were recently expressed on the website ‘Anglican Mainstream’. I believe these are powerful reasons for the rejection of these proposals.

    1. Re-defining Marriage. As Christians we believe there is a clear and positive biblical line on marriage and family, one which is good for all people, not just people of faith, and which we join with other Christian groups in affirming. Gay marriage (GM) is part of a much larger, and indeed we would say insidious, social engineering project aimed at deconstructing marriage and the family, stripping heterosexuality of its ‘privileged’ social, legal and cultural position. (under the damning accusation of ‘heterosexism’), so allowing various forms of sexuality and family to enter mainstream UK life.

    2. Family. GM revolutionises the concept of family for all of us – not just would-be-married “gays” and lesbians, through how it culturally redefines what is understood by marriage and parenthood. GM privileges adult needs and desires. GM also leads to the intentional, socially-sanctioned deprivation of children of either their biological fathers or mothers and new cultural norms which deny the claims of biology for all children. This will lead to further family fragmentation and the damaging of children

    3. Freedom of conscience. GM will ensure further loss of religious liberty and freedom of conscience as people of all faiths (and none) increasingly self-censor and/or collude to avoid breaking the law. As a cultural institution embedded in the local community, the church will eventually be forced to perform. As this new sexual orthodoxy becomes embedded in law and culture, children lose, but also we as a society lose as everyone is forced to maintain these views or keep quiet, and thus collude with the new orthodoxy. Society becomes increasingly totalitarian.

    4. Sexual Minorities. Once GM is accepted, it will be much harder to refuse the rights of other sexual minorities in the West who are presently making the same public demands as the LGBT and on the identical basis. I.E. (’This is my “orientation” and identity, it is innate and unchangeable, I am not hurting anyone, I have been discriminated against’. Children with this form of “not yet out” sexuality are presently being bullied and damaged’ etc.) And of course, how will we be able to forbid polygamy (a heterosexual minority lifestyle), which has been a historical reality for centuries and is still present, though under the radar?

    5. Progressive Marriage. GM advocates demand the rights and status of GM, but do not insist upon sexual exclusivity within marriage. What is worse, GM leaders publicly boast that its ‘open’, ‘progressive’ marital model (sexual non-monogamy) is a significant improvement on that of traditional marriage.

    6. Children In the family unit. GM focuses on adults. Though all marriages do not produce children, all children have mothers and fathers. GM apologists claim that children do not need both — two of one or the other works just as well. However, IVF children created for LG couples are genetic half-orphans; they are automatically, intentionally deprived of one of two of their biological parents and all that is embodied in and represented by that parent in terms of nurture, modelling and relationship, heritage and ancestry, kinship etc.

    7. Alternative Sexualities. The opening of a Pandora’s Box of alternative sexualities will make for a sexual free-for-all and mean human sexual relationships have almost no constraints or ideal patterns to follow (consent becomes the only significant qualifier). Any normative idea of family begins to collapse. Ironically, LGBT leaders deny the claims of these other sexual minorities because the cost for them is too high. So, on the basis of ‘non-discrimination’ the public must embrace the LGBT ‘cause’, while failing to realise that official LGBT groups discriminate too.” (Lisa Nolland)

I believe it is important to note the point already made that the government has no mandate to legislate on this issue. Prior to the election neither of the main political parties made any reference to such a change in the law in their combined manifesto entitled ‘Freedom, Fairness, Responsibility’.

Finally for Christians I believe there is a further supremely important consideration. A change in the law to legalise GM would be to ask the Church to recognise and sanctify the very antithesis of the Biblical definition of marriage as a symbol and picture of the union between Christ and the Church. To do so would in my view degrade this profound concept beyond recognition.

For these reasons therefore I trust you will oppose any move to legislate if and when this issue comes before your House.

  41. Indeed John, in fact the family is the natural enemy of the communists since a society consisting of strong families doesn’t need or even want what big government tries to sell. Who in their right mind would prefer a government-approved one-size-all meal to a home-cooked one from your mum in a free country?

I believe the destruction of the family is not the goal per se, it is just one of the means towards the end of establishing full government controlled life. Once it was established, those who helped bring about this state of affairs will be the first up against the wall. Does anyone seriously believe an event such as the Gay Mardi Gras would survive under a totalitarian oligarchy? If you do, I have a few bridges to sell you.

Watch a former KGB agent explain what happens to useful idiots like the AEU once the real end-game is achieved. All your ‘civil rights’ will be gone overnight. This was filmed in 1985, yet it could’ve been yesterday. (well worth the 17 minutes)

  42. Daniel K, on 31.1.12 / 5pm, you wrote:

Many homeschool families are also “working poor”. We home educated our 4 whilst running a home-based business which has now folded. We are still home-schooling 3 youngest, with me out working elsewhere – not pulling in much at all, and my wife working part time after hours.

Yes, our older 4 are now working and contributing rent, but it wasn’t always like that over the last 15-20 years.

Your main task is to understand God’s will for your family and do that.

As a generalisation, though, I don’t see anywhere in Scripture that the people of Israel sent their children to the Caananites or Philistines for their education. Even Moses had to spend 40 years in the desert herding sheep, to un-learn all his Egyptian education, before God commissioned him to a new task.

  43. Daniel, as a teacher I have seen that it is not educational practitioners but involved parents who will most shape their children’s worldview and lives. Certainly teachers, friends, books, magazines, TV, and video games will influence children but I believe that sincere, involved parents far outweigh these.
    Dan Brinkman

  44. That AEU document was one of the ugliest things I have ever seen. In spite of all the problems that such things are going to cause it is a cause for celebration for Christian. Why you might ask? The reason is that now our message is so radically different from what we are seeing coming from other sources.

It is now a chance for us to stand out from the pack and show our true colours. It should not come as a surprise t us that the world would go down this path, since Paul described the human condition in Romans 1 and we know things are very close to what conditions that were around when the Gospel was fist being preached to the Gentiles. Considering that the Gospel message flourished under those conditions, I don’t see why they can’t now also, all it needs is for those who believe in Christ to show their colours. It certainly won’t be easy, but Jesus did say that if the world hates us, it is because the world first hated him. The condition of the world should be a wake up call to those who believe.

  45. Cornelius Van Til argued that all reasoning is presuppostional, and that where you commence reasoning, determines the conclusions that you will arrive at. If your presuppositions are faulty, then no amount of evidence will deviate you from your conclusions. If you begin with, “God is, and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” then you will arrive at a totally different perspective of life than if you begin with the presuppostion “God is not, so get out of life whatever you can grab.”

Beginning with God, then we need to ponder the implications of the story concerning the Tree of Life, and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God says, that to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil surely leads to death. What does that mean? It means to take to ourselves the role of determining what is good and evil, without reference to what God has said on any particular matter, will result in a lifestyle that ends in death (for the individual, family, Church and civil entity). To eat from the Tree of Life is to embrace all that God has said, and allow His Word to be the sole determiner of what is good and what is evil.

Read the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. Where is there one verse that mandates civil governments to be involved in education? I have read the Bible through from cover to cover more than 35 times (once for each year that I have been a Christian). I have studied the Bible from the perspective of an educator for over 24 years. I have not found one reference in the Bible that would imply that the civil government has any role in educating children.

To give credence to government involvement in the education of children is to pronounce that we are wiser than God Himself. In the early days of the modern Christian Schooling movement, there were a small number of leaders who said that parents had the responsibility to pay for the education of their children, and that Christian Schools must not seek after government funding. I personally went to the local judge every year and explained that I was willing to work in our small Christian school for 50% of the award wages; it was my vocation, and that was more important than the financial remuneration. When the families in the school pressed for the school to receive government money, steadily the compromises increased in the school. Staff were paid better, but at a very high price in terms of the quality of education being delivered.

Education of children is a family responsibility, and education of heads of families is a Church responsibility. To deviate from that Biblically-stated maxim is to love death. Argue all you like from the perspective of financial hardship, difficulty, and such like, the death of family, Church and the civil entity is in the seed of willfully ignoring what God has to say on the subject of education.

Home educate if you can. If you can’t, gather together with other Christian families, pool your financial resources and together hire a Christian tutor to help you educate your children. Walk away from schools, they are the invention of the state to take control of the hearts and minds of children. Educate your own children, or find someone who can help you educate them, and pay them well. Live frugally, be satisfied with the simple things of life, and don’t get caught up in the sin of covetousness. A schooled child is not necessarily an educated one. An education does not need schooling and state certification, it requires the teaching of how to read, write, numerate and think. And anyone can teach those things, not just a university trained specialist.

Now say all that in public and see what vilification will be thrown at you.

    Lance A Box

  46. Thanks everyone for clarifying my lacking statement, makes me glad there are many here who are better at public writing than I am.

Hey John, nope, I am living up in sunny (currently soaking wet) Queensland.

Although I am a bit sad that I can’t have kids, in the current state of thing I am starting to feel it might be a blessing in disguise. At least I can help out with the important issues a bit.

    Neil Waldron

  47. Thank you Anne-Marie and John Angelico
Thank you so much for your heart felt and very wise words. This has touched me deeply. We do as a family sit down to a meal at the table each night, and talk about our day and pray about these issues. Bless you both and Bill for having this place to air our thoughts and worries.
    Thank you.

  48. Watchful parents who have children in public schools can never really keep on top of things and monitor everything their child is learning. We had our children in public education for the first few years of school. What you may disagree with, you will usually find out about – afterwards. Even the rest periods the children engaged in, it seemed, had a New Age flavour. I found out about these ‘sessions’ only from things that were said months later by my then 6yo.

Home schooling was a great choice and we did that for a period of 5 years (including some time spent overseas in a remote area). The boys are now in a Christian School for their final years of school.

In my own education at a public school, our male art teacher was a homosexual. Sadly, he died from HIV/AIDS related causes. Another art teacher we had I’m told was a lesbian – though personally, I’m not surprised unfortunately. Oh yes, and in our English classes, we learnt all about the occult – some real freaky stuff. It goes without saying that sometimes things are said and done in the classroom without any parental knowledge/consent at all.

  49. I have a 15 year old in a state school. I have taken the view that if I hear or see anything in the vein of what has been discussed here, then I will most definitely inquire. There was a program sometime back called Learning From One Another put out by an Islamic body with the intention of getting Islam more recognised in our school system. I voiced my concerns directly in a letter to the principal and to her credit, she sent me back a letter addressing my concerns and assuring me that this program was not happening in her school. Every now and then I will ask my son if he is aware of any of the things happening at school that have been discussed here and I will waste no time in taking the opportunity to talk it over with him and advise him but thankfully he has a strong Christian faith so he is well protected. For all the crap that you see happening in some schools there are still quite a lot of good teachers in the public school system who, although not Christian, still have a strong social and moral conscience, being parents themselves and would abhor willing acceptance of some of these disturbing trends that are now emerging. However that is no excuse for ignorance on our behalf and we owe it to ourselves and our children to be well informed about developments so we can respond accordingly.
    Steve Davis

  50. Thanks Steve

Yes, as I said in a radio interview today about this subject, fortunately there are some good schools and some good teachers. Not all of them are caving in to this AEU indoctrination and bullying. But we must always keep vigilant as to what is being offered in our children’s schools – even Christian schools.

    Bill Muehlenberg, CultureWatch

  51. Cannot agree more Bill, what radio interview was this, can I listen to it somewhere?
    Steve Davis

  52. Thanks Steve. It was on the UCB network, and it would be played at different times on different stations around the country. Not sure what your local UCB station would be, sorry.

  53. Not to worry. The Australian Party has emerged. Depending on the success in Queensland it might start making moves Federally. A vehicle for change of education that promulgates political correctness and social engineering is finally here.

The key problem with erosion of values has been the political environment. Now there is a solution.
    Michael Bates

  54. I am an older person, and am shocked to read what you say is being taught in schools. I do not believe that this is being taught in private schools, and my grandchildren are home schooled or go to private schools. This is evil and must be stopped, but how? Are our politicians being made aware of this? They are obviously the ones who can get rid of this rubbish. Please advise.
    Don McAllan

  55. Hi Bill.
I’m a Primary School teacher in Victoria and I was just sent an e-mail today (22/2) advertising the Australian Education Union’s new program of GLBT training sessions starting March 17, 2012 in Melbourne. As you said in this article, the propaganda is beginning to increase in intensity.
