OK, sometimes a little meme so very nicely encapsulates my thinking that I just want to post it and leave it at that. Indeed, I have posted it elsewhere and it has already been shared kazillions of times in the past few hours. So I think it is spot on in expressing what so many of us think and feel.
So this will be a rather short post, and I will let the picture speak for itself. And of course it should be obvious that my title can be teased out a bit more. Sin of course is what is wrong with the world, and rebellion against God, truth, reality and common sense.
But the picture nicely embodies so much of that. We live in an age where every idiotic anti-God, anti-family, and anti-sanity idea is held up as a paragon of wisdom and virtue, while everything sensible, godly, rational and real is dumped on as intolerance, bigotry and hate speech.
Today people can choose to be whatever they want to be. They can pretend to be another sex, or another age, or another race, or another species. That is all just peachy, and anything goes. To even suggest that these choices might be rather problematic is seen as the epitome of hate and narrowmindedness.
But make a choice for Jesus Christ and Scripture and morality and family and all hell breaks out. Then you have crossed the line and must be punished. You must be put in your place, handed over to the thought police, and re-educated. Such independent thinking is verboten in our Brave New World.
Anyway, enough waffle from me. This picture is a real winner. It tells us so much about just what is wrong about the West today. And it hints at what we must do to turn things around before it is too late.

Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them”
If you don’t know God, how can you know who’s image you’re created in? You identity will then be the image of any number of other god’s created by this world of unbelief. And the result is as foretold in 2 Corinthians 4:4
“For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.”
Who am I- behold the man Jesus.
What happens when two Gay Marriage activists Mark Newton and Peter Truong identify as homosexuals then have sex with a 22 month old Russian infant, thereby inspiring Russian Democracy to make “anti-gay” adoption / indoctrination laws?
The man (John Sunol) who was prosecuted by Garry Burns and the NSW Anti-Discrimination Board for linking to a YouTube video that had comments that were negative towards those who have sex with infants was accused of “gay bashing” by a local newspaper, because he dare linked to a video made by a Lesbian Reporter at the ABC critical of those who rape infants.

The judgement from NCAT ruled that Dr Robert Oscar Lopez PHD’s thesis title “Same Sex Marriage is Child Abuse? is hate speech”. It wasn’t about child sex, it was just about children not having a normal family life and how that is abuse. Ironically the judge Alexander Wakefield didn’t even click on the link to see what it was about and just naturally assumed it was child sex, yet the respondent to the case was prosecuted for where a link went.
The funny thing is he gave the main submission to the SCOTUS gay marriage decision – and he was raised by lesbians. So @NCATNSW says you can be a hate criminal even if you were a professor who was abused and raised by Lesbians! Put simply you can’t be against the gay agenda no matter what your upbringing or what horrors have been done to you by the Gay Lobby. That is until NCAT / NSW ADB faces a parliamentary inquiry into their actions of normalizing pedophilia by criminalizing dissent against it.
Four pictures like the four types of reception by the ground for the seed in the parable of the sower – Matthew 13. Those three types of ground that dismiss any idea of accepting and abiding in the truth contrast with the one type of ground that yields one of three abundant results – even 100 times for some! In that same chapter (Matthew 13) as the pictures show many see and hear the truth but sadly are dull blockheads in need of healing by God. The last picture strikes a note found in Mark 10:30 – that while 100 fold blessing does come for those who follow Jesus it also comes ‘with persecutions’. For Christians we could say this is an encouraging graphic! Perhaps we need more similar picture messages based on Scripture to wake up the dead! Good one Bill.

It’s an interesting situation Christians are in Bill and it says something about the world’s mindset:
When we say that the historical science associated with the the age of the earth may be interpreted so show a “young” earth we get told we’re anti science, yet if we say that the science of biology shows that what we are is determined by our chromosones and DNA we’re bigots. Lose/lose.
The graphic reminds me of a sobering book by Theodore Dalrymple, one of my favourite writers, called ‘Our culture, what’s left of it’. The cult of unrestrained self, and the pleasure principle, and the flight from reason, and the cult of sentimentality, are all symptoms of a serious spiritual as well as mental disease.
Let’s leave them to their madness and do what we have to do as Christians. These folks are very sad. They will learn painfull that God is not mocked, and neither is Reality. Pray for them and keep on being Salt and Light.
Talking of choices, I heard a man asking a small child if he wanted the spicy crisps or the plain. The adult seemed so spineless and uninspiring. The child got quite cross with him! Children are often set adrift from reality without a moral compass, and let down by adults.
