Resisting Tyranny Is Always Worth It

Finally some justice for one brave mother:

Times of crisis can bring out the best and the worst in people. History always tells us this, and very recent history has certainly made this perfectly clear. The two years of Rona hysteria and lockdown madness really did bring out both quite distinctly. Some folks responded so very well, while others – perhaps most – simply went along with the Statist overkill.

Far too many folks were quite happy to be led like sheep to their own slaughter, or at least to their own house arrest. And of course here in Victoria some of the worst and longest lockdown lunacy on the planet took place. Do you remember all the insanity? Insanity such as:

-Only being allowed out of your home for just one hour a day!

-Only being allowed to travel no more than 5 kms!

-Pubs and brothels staying open while churches and other essential services were forced to close!

-People preventing from having or attending weddings, going to funerals, or being with loved ones who were dying in hospital!

The list of atrocities is endless. Yet so many sheeple were more than happy to go along with all this. So many were quite willing to simply worship at the feet of leaders such as Premier Dan Andrews and do every single idiotic thing he told them to do. The paranoia and fear and hysteria were off the charts.

Many of these folks were even fully willing to snitch on their own neighbours or family members. This was straight out of the Communist playbook of course. Living in such fear and terror that you are willing to hate on your own former friends and neighbours is what a full-tilt dictatorship is all about.

But of course there were others – those who bravely, courageously and resolutely would NOT submit to this diabolical Big Brother health fascism. They stood their ground and would not cave to the relentless pressure to fully conform – or else. And they often paid a very big price for standing up for human rights and basic civil liberties.

How many were arrested, fined and even jailed for saying no to the overreach of power-hungry thugs like Andrews? So many paid a very steep price indeed to stand for freedom. One of the superstars in this regard was a Ballarat mother. You all would recall her story – it was absolutely shocking. She was arrested by the police while at home in her pyjamas! As I wrote almost exactly two years ago about this case:

OK, this is where we are now at in the Victorian Police State. If armed police will come into a home and cuff and arrest a pregnant mother in her pyjamas (due to go to her ultrasound appointment) in front of her children, they will arrest anyone. You have been warned. This is serious.

It seems we will all need to have our phones with the video cameras ready to go at a moment’s notice if we hear a knock at the door. With more and more ordinary Australians being arrested by the police in Dictator Dan’s dystopia – including pregnant mothers – we may well need to record everything. https://billmuehlenberg.com/2020/09/03/is-this-really-australia/

There were so many utterly vile incidents that happened over those two years, but her story really did represent the complete breakdown of freedom and democracy in Victoria and so much of the world. In the name of “keeping us safe” some of the most heavy-handed and tyrannical actions ever undertaken in peacetime took place. It was an utter nightmare.

But thankfully many of these champion freedom fighters eventually found a bit of justice. Many had the charges against them quietly dropped. Of course the coercive State and its leaders never apologised to anyone. Dictators never do. But just today we learned of a very good outcome for this poor Ballarat mother. Here is the full story:

Police have dropped a charge against a Ballarat mum accused of breaching public health orders during Victoria’s Covid lockdown. Zoe Buhler, 30, was accused of using social media to organise a protest against state government lockdown rules between August 31 and September 2 in 2020. Her arrest while pregnant and wearing pyjamas was captured on video.

In Ballarat Magistrates Court on Tuesday, police withdrew a single charge of incitement to contravene public health directions. An application for costs by Ms Buhler was to be worked out between the parties. Outside court, Ms Buhler thanked her supporters and said she was “relieved that it’s all finished”. “Glad that it’s all over,” she said.

“Obviously the charges have been withdrawn. Bit ridiculous on the police side of things that they dragged it out for so long. I’ll be considering my options going forward especially in regards to being handcuffed while pregnant.” Ms Buhler said her stance against the state’s lockdown had not changed since her arrest. “I think the strong message I have is that I definitely have no regrets,” she said.

“I’m glad I stood up for people’s human rights and freedoms, and I guess the message maybe going into the future is … I hope I can be an inspiration that more of us should stand up for what is right.” She added the following for Premier Daniel Andrews: “I hope one day you’ll have your day in court”. And to the police: “Get the bad guys, not the innocent guys”. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/ballarat/charge-against-zoe-buhler-for-organising-lockdown-protest-dropped/news-story/30d266d49df16417e7c19f70c82cdaf3

This certainly is terrific news – and long overdue. This terrible act of injustice never should have occurred in the first place. Nor should tens of thousands of other acts of injustice during this period. Thankfully some brave souls were willing to stand up and say ‘NO’ to tyranny and statist overkill.

Well done Zoe. You are a champion. You really did go through hell for such a long time. Finally a bit of justice. Finally a bit of good news. But as I say, will we hear one word of apology from Dictator Dan and his thugs about this? Not on your life. All the more reason to kick them out of office this November.

We must NEVER forget what these tyrants did to us.

  1. Wow! Amazing that they finally admitted they were wrong. We just saw the film, “Battleground Melbourne” in Werribee on Friday night, which featured Zoe. And now we are waiting to hear if my husband will receive a call to the Lutheran church in Ballarat. Please pray that we have wisdom to know God’s direction in our lives as there is so much right now to consider. Namely that many people are asleep and just blindly obey the government and anyone who speaks out is immediately shut down and verbally abused, which is upsetting coming from people in the church. It would be different if my husband was preaching heresy, but we’ve been standing up for the truth and for doctors who speak the truth. But these church members are acting like we are the ‘bad’ guys, and one person said they would not support anything that is ‘anti-government’ or ‘anti-vaccine’ and that supporting ‘controversial’ doctors who broke the law is contrary to Christian values.

  2. Similar cases to Zoe Buhler’s have been dropped also in recent weeks.
All of course in the lead up to the state election in November.
Should the Victorian tyrant be turfed out by the voters, there will be dancing in the streets.
On the other hand should he stay,
it will be 4 more years of accelerated descent into a moral abyss.

May God deliver us from evil.

  3. It is good to see the charges dropped but but the affect on this mother’s reputation, her children and her husband/partner is there permanently, Disgustingly at a time when she should have been looking forward to an ultrasound of their precious new baby to come ,humiliation and media attention like a criminal for standing up for truth, freedoms and for her own and all generations. She was arrested, all the wrong reasons &2 years later it’s dismissed as not in the public interest to proceed with proceeding the charges? Whilst I’m gratefully relieved for both her and others like her, there are still many questions to be asked.
I don’t If it’s been resolved yet but although Moncia Swit has had the similar with her incitement charges, she still has minor charges to face in court, Would you believe Monica has to pay and attend court to have her bail conditions dropped? She still has to report to police, give then her current address and it gives them also the right to see who she associates with. Unbelievable! As Monica rightly stated it has to be extremely serious charges for those kind of bail conditions yet they serious incitement charges have been dropped as not in the best interests of the public to continue. So why is the police still allowed to watch like Big Brother every moment Monica makes?
My only true comfort and Hope is that God though Jesus Christ sees every tear , every frustration and every injustice.
The light of the world and its only Eternal Hope is everyone’s anchor in life’s turbulent seas. Only the Peace and Hope of God though Jesus Christ keeps forward focus and the Kingdom to come looked though God’s promises of which there is Eternal guarantee. God’s Word has that in writing in many places and those now and to come sealed though failed in Jesus Christ can stand steadfast in Him in all things.

  4. Dear Bill,

I am so glad that the disgusting and unnecessary charges against Zoe were dropped and thankyou for bringing it to our attention. The MSM know only too well that it was an important incident that shocked Australians to the core but even so they are so devious and worse than useless that they would neglect to tell us something so important. They are too busy promoting Dictator Dan for another term. I heard them say the other day that he will get in again with a landslide victory. Surely Victorians aren’t that stupid that they can’t see that the man is highly dangerous.

  5. I hope her baby was born, and born ok. The stress of this is not something needed during pregnancy. Miscarriages can happen. And not sure if the hormonal stress could affect the baby of not.

  6. Bowens Climate Change Bill – a recipe for disaster
The Minister for Energy and Climate Change Chris Bowen, in waxing eloquent about the passing of The Climate Change 2022 Bill, said that with the passing of this Bill that it would show the world Australia was `serious about driving down emissions’ and the Bill would ‘stabilise our energy system’ and give certainty to Australia’s energy sector.

He’s right about that, it will certainly give certainty to power shortages and brownouts and certainly destabilise our energy sector by building more wind farms and the uptake of large solar projects…

Current emissions targets have been raised from 30% (2005 levels) to 43% by 2030 and to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.

A big part of meeting the Albanese Governments targets will be the phasing out of coal fired power generation in favour or renewables.

It’s a pity Mr. Bowen was not as serious about securing Australia has adequate supplies of base-load power moving forward. Given that the government is planning to bring into the country each year 190,000 new settlers, not to mention increasing energy output (and keeping prices down) to meet the needs of an expending economy, how can this be done when as part of the governments grand plan includes shutting down reliable base load energy provided by coal and gas power stations, in favour of costly intermittent renewables?

Mr. Bowen was right to say that his Bill was an important piece of legislation, and he’s right about that aspect. One would have thought that prior to drafting the Bill he would have sought a second opinion.

There are many scientists – like Professor Richard Lindzen, who do not subscribe to the notion man’s carbon dioxide emissions pose a threat to the planet. Did Mr. Bowen consult them?

Climate science is complex and ongoing, it is not a destination where the science is settled, and many scientists are of the view that man’s carbon emissions do not hurt the planet and even Arrhenius thought that a little warming would be beneficial for the planet as typified by the greenhouse effect, that is if you want plants to thrive, where do you put them? In a Greenhouse – things grow better with a little warming.

The world, mainly industrialised nations have spent somewhere between $750 billion to one trillion dollars on trying to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere. This includes 341,000 wind turbines and huge solar projects.

In over 35 years humanity has not succeeded in reducing CO2 levels as they have gone from 338ppm in 1980 to over 418ppm today. And what has happened? Extreme weather events have actually declined. Sea levels and ice caps are basically stable. All the grand renewable energy experiment has done is to send many countries to the brink of economic ruin because of expensive energy prices.

Carbon dioxide levels have steadily risen steadily for many centuries – even with the world being locked down for two years due to the pandemic. Data shows that extreme weather events have declined; sea levels have remained stable as have ice coverage over the planet. Trying to control atmospheric levels of CO2 has proved to be not only being very expensive but a dismal failure. (97% of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is put there by natural processes).

Yet the Albanese government wants to continue with the failed renewables energy strategy.

Two things are abundantly clear from the above figures, that humanity can’t control CO2 levels (see above figures), and the Earth is doing what it usually does, going through regular cycles of heating and cooling..

The push for Nett Zero emissions will not impact the climate but it will most definitely negatively impact the economy and lower our standard of living. The government has pledged to reduce energy prices and claims renewables are “cheaper than fossil fuels.” But this is misleading as green energy receives massive government subsidies and the cost of manufacture and installation are not included in official figures.

Why has the Australia government failed to see that we are not facing a climate crisis, but an energy crisis?

This country urgently needs to increase its base load power. Mr. Bowen’s Bill is going in the wrong direction. This country needs as a matter of urgency to build more base-load power which only fossil fuels power stations can provide, if we are to avoid the looming energy crisis, but alas it may already be too late.
