It is frightening how ordinary citizens are being treated by the authorities:
By now we should all be quite shocked and disturbed by the heavy-handed responses of most governments to the covid virus. Lockdowns, border closures, and alarming restrictions of freedoms and basic human rights have become the order of the day in far too many places.
And we have seen far too many images of police hassling lone sun bathers on deserted beaches, arresting Christian pastors at their churches, and even handcuffing and taking away pregnant mothers, all for daring to stand up for essential liberties and democratic rights.
There seems to be an endless supply of such horror stories. Thankfully a number of them have been captured on film. Thankfully some concerned citizens have videoed these alarming incidents, and the whole world can see just what is happening in once free and democratic nations.
Australia has had its fair share of these totally unacceptable incidents. While most police are doing a great job, too many have become little more than thugs as they treat innocent civilians as axe murderers and worse. We expect such police state behaviours in, well, police states! We do not expect this in countries like Australia.
One of the most recent – and most shocking – examples of this comes from Sydney. One news report begins this way:
A 12-year-old girl was allegedly pepper sprayed in front of shocked onlookers as her sister was arrested for refusing to wear a face mask during Sydney’s Covid lockdown. Distressing footage of the melee was shared online overnight after the girl’s family threatened to sue the officers involved for ‘assaulting and harassing a child’. New South Wales Police confirmed two women, aged 20 and 37, were arrested during the altercation on July 2 and charged with assaulting officers and breaching Covid orders. Sadly there are plenty of other recent cases like this. Consider another one, from the Northern Territory. The story goes like this:
Hayden Williams was walking to his car in Alice Springs on Friday when police confronted him about not wearing a mask while drinking a coffee. A baffled Mr Williams tried to explain that he was drinking, making it impossible to wear a mask. Police refused his reason and demanded he wears a mask while drinking anyways. The officer who declined to give her name and badge number explained to Mr Williams that “Alice Springs is a vulnerable community with a lot of sick people”.
There has not been a single recorded case of locally transmitted Coronavirus in the remote town, ever. Mr Williams then continued to walk back to his car when the three officers knocked his coffee to the ground and arrested him for failing to wear a mask. Wow. That is simply madness – tyrannical madness! And there seems to be no ends to such shocking videos. Consider just one more from Australia from a few days ago. The story opens:
On Tuesday, Nic, a young mother from Newcastle, NSW, was confronted by police for not wearing a mask on a train. Nic suffers from asthma and is legally exempt from the mask mandate. However, when she informed the officers about her exemption, they refused to respect it. They immediately became hostile and told her she would no longer be allowed to continue her travels on public transport. Do masks even work against the virus?
Most rational folks viewing these videos – and there are so many more we could highlight – would rightly wonder if we are now living in Communist China, or North Korea, or the former Soviet Union. And we do not just have the very worrying reality of countless people being hounded and arrested by the authorities for daring to not wear a mask.
We also have this: the important question arises, are masks in fact of any real use when dealing with the Rona? Many medical and scientific experts say no. Consider what the experts are saying on the efficacy of masks and the virus. Melbourne anaesthetist Dr Babak Amin for example has strong views on face masks. As one report states:
Anaesthetist Dr Babak Amin says the Andrews governments’ mask mandate is another “dreamt up” draconian measure because it does not refer exclusively to surgical masks but rather masks with no universal standard of manufacture. “There is a raft of high-quality data, what we call meta-analyses, studies that compile multiple other studies together, and these studies have found that non-medical masks in community settings play no role in protecting the wearer from infection.” Mr Jones pointed to a study from Dr James Meehan of Global Research which argues bacterial pneumonias are currently on the rise because “untrained members of the public are wearing medical masks repeatedly … in a non-sterile fashion” https://m.facebook.com/PeopleOfVic/videos/981872685642603/
Another look at the available data begins this way:
In this meta-analysis, face masks were found to have no detectable effect against transmission of viral infections. It found: “Compared to no masks, there was no reduction of influenza-like illness cases or influenza for masks in the general population, nor in healthcare workers.”
This 2020 meta-analysis found that evidence from randomized controlled trials of face masks did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza, either when worn by infected persons (source control) or by persons in the general community to reduce their susceptibility.
Another recent review found that masks had no effect specifically against Covid-19, although facemask use seemed linked to, in 3 of 31 studies, “very slightly reduced” odds of developing influenza-like illness.
This 2019 study of 2862 participants showed that both N95 respirators and surgical masks “resulted in no significant difference in the incidence of laboratory confirmed influenza.”
This 2016 meta-analysis found that both randomized controlled trials and observational studies of N95 respirators and surgical masks used by healthcare workers did not show benefit against transmission of acute respiratory infections. The so-called health experts who are advising our governments have been all over the place on the role of masks and the Rona. They seem to change their tune on a regular basis. They not only contradict others, but they often contradict themselves. Plenty of sensible voices have been sounding the alarm on all this. One who has been a voice of reason for the past year and a half is Australian commentator Alan Jones. He has been consistently and courageously speaking out on the panic porn, Covid alarmism, health fascism, and tinpot dictatorships.
You can see him weeknights on Sky News speaking truth in an age starved of truth, fed on lies and panic, and paralysed by fear. I suggest you tune in on a regular basis. We certainly need such realism in the face of such reckless hysteria and Big Brother overreach.

I totally agree with this article, in fact we are being tricked by their language, this is psychological warfare and the damage this will do to people is a crime. Politicians have no right to mandate, they are not the medical profession, they are keeping people in fear. I have submitted my feedback to the NSW government website stating all this. One of our daughters was ambushed and chased by a madman with a rifle, who was shouting that he was going to kill her. A neighbour saw what was happening and called 000. He was told that police would arrive in 15 minutes. The police took 6 HOURS to arrive – apparently attending to 14 domestic violence emergencies beforehand.
Another daughter was told by our family doctor early evening last week that she must present urgently to Emergency at the local hospital for tests and treatment that needed to be attended to without delay.
Shortly after 1 a.m., after almost 7 hours of waiting, she along with many other unwell trusting people who had waited even longer without being seen, were told to go home.

Refuse the Mask of the Beast!
Thanks Michael. Yes and no. As to the mark of Revelation 13, whatever it is, verse 17 says that “no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark”. With so many businesses and states running with mandatory vaccinations, and so many governments running with vaccine passports, making things very difficult for those who for one reason or another decline the Rona vaccine, one can see how this passage might fit in there.
As to I Corinthians 11:2-16, this is a text which is the subject of plenty of questions and much debate. It is vital that we keep in mind the context: it is about propriety in public worship. Thus whatever are the exact reasons here for coverings and no coverings, it is not insisting that a woman can never be out in public without a head covering. Nor is it saying a man can never have a head covering. If it is the middle of a cold winter, a hat to keep you warm is not sinful for a man, just as having a head without a covering is not sinful for a woman in the middle of a hot summer.
And it certainly is not discussing a ban on legitimate uses of a mask, as when surgeons are in the middle of a heart operation or some such thing where proper surgical masks are necessary pieces of protective equipment as they seek to save the life of a patient.
But I speak in much more detail about this difficult portion of Scripture here:
“I wanted to share a little hope with you all. My son had an accident and badly hurt two of his fingers; we were in hospital all day yesterday. He needs surgery. Anyway I refused the PCR test for him and me. so they declined his surgery.
“Today we spoke to the hospital and told them that we would serve them a liability notice for failing to treat our son. Well, their tune very quickly changed and they called back saying his surgery will be on Friday. They will have to treat him like he has COVID but I am allowed with him so it’s all good.
“When you stand strong in the truth they have to back down with their scare tactics.”

It is mandatory for masks to be work at major NT airports and while on board an aircraft.

I read the following in my local newspaper yesterday,
“The Illawarra Mercury observed numerous people eating takeaway … at North Beach … but NSW Health was unable to clarify if such activities … were permitted.
The public health order does not specify what are and are not allowed.
…
NSW Police, the enforcement agency, have been contacted for clarification.”
So there’s an immediate problem, no one knows exactly what is and what isn’t allowed. If there’s a clash of views the Police are unlikely to agree with you.
“If you are stopped by a regulatory officer in a setting where masks are mandatory, they will ask you to confirm the lawful reason you are not wearing a face mask.
Officers will only issue penalty notices if you clearly refuse to wear a mask without a lawful reason.
If you have a condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, you may wish to ask your registered health practitioner or disability care provider to issue a letter confirming this. However, this is not a requirement under the public health order.
In other circumstances, if you are eating or drinking, or there is an emergency, you will not be expected to continue wearing a mask.”
Also, “You are not required to wear a mask if you have a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability, that makes wearing a mask unsuitable. For example, if you have a skin condition, an intellectual disability, autism or trauma, you are not required to wear a mask.”

It would seem to me that the “cover your own butt” thing to do if you believe you have an exemption is firstly to have a current copy of the regulation with you and secondly, if you get a chance get something in writing from your doctor etc. A pain I know, but the police probably come across lots of people who’ll try scam them, so if you’re polite and have the paperwork you’re in a better position.

I don’t blame you for mentioning Sky News, as some of the presenters there seem to be on the ball. However, my serious concern about that station is their rabid pro-vaccine stance, which is enough to put me off completely. On the one hand they appear to oppose vaccine passports, the lockdowns and loss of personal liberties and freedom, yet on the other hand they are indirectly encouraging all of that by their promotion of dangerous, untested, unhelpful, unethical experimental vaccines. As far as I’m concerned, Sky News is helping to create a two-tiered society.
At the beginning of the ‘pandemic’ in 2020 Sky News was about the only sane voice in Oz. But it seems that Murdoch has been tightening the screws. So for me, no more Sky News I’m afraid. I stick to sources such as LifeSiteNews and Church Militant for my news feeds. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I couldn’t find your email address. Basically I have a question regarding the government forcing us to use QR code logins everywhere we go. This is obviously an Orwellian tracking exercise and nothing to do with the alleged ‘pandemic’. A number of places around the web are citing section 94H of the Federal Privacy act to show that such scanning requirements are illegal. However that act seems to only apply to the covidsafe app in particular which is a federal government app and does not apply to the various state tacking apps.
“It is an offence under the Privacy Act for any individual, organisation or government agency to require you to download or use the app. However, this does not apply to private citizens in their personal lives. For example, it is not an offence if a relative or friend asks you to download the app before visiting their home. It also does not apply to any other contact tracing apps or QR codes. For example, if a business is required under a public health order to collect your personal information for contact tracing purposes, and they ask you to provide your details through a State or Territory government app or QR code, or through another app or QR code, this is not an offence as they are not requiring you to use the COVIDSafe app.”

I’m hoping you or one of your readers can clarify things further as I object to be tracked everywhere I go and treated like a criminal by an illegitimate govt…….full of criminals. 🙂

38 new confirmed cases of COVID in NSW yesterday. How many hundreds of cases of influenza across the country? How many deaths from influenza this year. I tried to search online about this, and no result. Interesting, as there has only been one Covid death this year.
I, like so many others are getting sick of all the scaremongering and drama from governments. At least, here in Tassie, life is continuing with a sense of normality.
