Dismantling the Covid Shibboleths

Busting the Rona myths:

There have been a number of mantras pushed over the past two years in regards to the Rona which the “experts” have assured us are completely true and fully based on the science. But just this week two of the biggest ones have taken further blows: that we all must be locked down, and that we all must get jabbed. Important new studies continue to appear showing these have been hugely questionable health mandates.

There has been plenty of research showing how wrong the statists have been in locking us all down and demanding that we are to be coerced into having substances injected into our bodies against our compliance. Two of the newest bits of research on these matters simply further confirm what we have known for quite some time now.

Take the issue of harsh, draconian lockdowns – something I and others have been speaking against for nearly two years now. Many have argued that the evidence points to the fact that they actually cause more harm than good. And even if not, they are doing little to stop the spread of Covid deaths.

But for those who want a much briefer summary of this research, let me run with one recent news report on this:

Lockdowns during the first COVID-19 wave in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID-19 mortality by .2% in the U.S. and Europe, according to a Johns Hopkins University meta-analysis of several studies. “While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted,” the researchers wrote. “In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument.”

 

The researchers – Johns Hopkins University economics professor Steve Hanke, Lund University economics professor Lars Jonung, and special advisor at Copenhagen’s Center for Political Studies Jonas Herby – analyzed the effects of lockdown measures such as school shutdowns, business closures, and mask mandates on COVID-19 deaths. “We find little to no evidence that mandated lockdowns in Europe and the United States had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality rates,” the researchers wrote.

 

The researchers also examined shelter-in-place orders, finding that they reduced COVID-19 mortality by 2.9%. Studies that looked at only shelter-in-place orders found they reduced COVID-19 mortality by 5.1%, but studies that looked at shelter-in-place orders along with other lockdown measures found that shelter-in-place orders actually increased COVID-19 mortality by 2.8%.

 

The researchers concluded that limiting gatherings may have actually increased COVID-19 mortality. “[Shelter-in-place orders] may isolate an infected person at home with his/her family where he/she risks infecting family members with a higher viral load, causing more severe illness,” the researchers wrote. “But often, lockdowns have limited peoples’ access to safe (outdoor) places such as beaches, parks, and zoos, or included outdoor mask mandates or strict outdoor gathering restrictions, pushing people to meet at less safe (indoor) places.” https://www.foxnews.com/us/lockdowns-reduced-covid-19-mortality-by-2-study-finds-lockdowns-should-be-rejected-out-of-hand

Consider also the issue of the Rona jabs and their efficacy in regards to whether they reduce the transmission of Covid. In a January 2022 edition of The Lancet – hardly known as a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory outfit – a paper was published demonstrating that there is no significant difference between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated in terms of spreading Covid. A key portion of this article says this:

[T]he impact of vaccination on transmissibility of SARS-CoV-2 needs to be elucidated. A prospective cohort study in the UK by Anika Singanayagam and colleagues regarding community transmission of SARS-CoV-2 among unvaccinated and vaccinated individuals provides important information that needs to be considered in reassessing vaccination policies. This study showed that the impact of vaccination on community transmission of circulating variants of SARS-CoV-2 appeared to be not significantly different from the impact among unvaccinated people. The scientific rationale for mandatory vaccination in the USA relies on the premise that vaccination prevents transmission to others, resulting in a “pandemic of the unvaccinated”. Of course this is not the only study to suggest such things. But it shows once again that all the hype and hoopla about Rona jabs has largely been misplaced and misleading – and with it, all the tyrannical jab mandates and discrimination. Along with the lockdowns and other health mandates, this has all too often been about power and control, and not about keeping people safe.

And there is NO letup on our petty political tyrants still being hellbent on keeping total control over the masses. It is all about compliance. This recent set of headlines about what McGowan is doing in WA is one case in point:

And then again there is Canada, which has in many ways led the Western world in being one of the most hyper-left, anti-freedom dictatorships around. I have documented this often now. But consider the latest act of madness, thankfully just reversed. Quebec was going to punish the unjabbed with a special tax! As one headline puts it: “Plan to tax unvaccinated dropped to avoid ‘angry’ backlash”. The story begins:

Canada’s Quebec province has reversed course on a special health tax proposed for residents who decline to take a Covid-19 vaccine, with the regional government saying the idea would only alienate people. “I have to make sure that I protect the health of Quebecers, but I have also to protect the peace in our society,” Quebec premier Francois Legault told reporters on Tuesday. “In the last week or so there’s [been] an increase in the reaction of people.”

 

While the province’s health minister said Quebec saw an uptick in vaccinations after the tax plan was unveiled in mid-January, in announcing the about-face, the premier said, “I understand that this divides Quebecers and right now we need to build bridges.” The proposed “health contribution” would have fined unimmunized residents for between $50 and $100, with Legault initially saying the policy aimed to “tell people who choose not to get vaccinated that there will be a price to pay” and make up for “sacrifices” endured by the rest of the population. https://www.rt.com/news/548025-quebec-drops-unvaccinated-tax/

It is likely that massive people power in the form of the Canadian truckers freedom convoy helped bring about that backflip from the government. All the more reason for us all to stand up for our rights and our freedom, and not comply with unjust and immoral dictates from Big Brother statists.

As Jeffrey Tucker just said about the convoy:

This is not really or just about vaccine mandates. It’s about what they represent: government taking possession of our lives. If they can force you to get an injection in your arm over which you have doubts, all bets for freedom are off. There must be evidence that you complied. The phone app is next, which gets tied to your bank account and your job and your access to communications and your ability to pay your rent or mortgage. It means eventually 100% government control over the whole of life. The technology already exists. Everything going on now with these passports is driving to this point.

 

This is why the truckers are striking this way. It is an act of bravery but also of desperation. Once the tyranny of health passports arrives, there will be no escape. The window of opportunity to do something about this will have closed. So this is the moment. There might not be another one. Something needs to be done to fight for human rights and freedom, and put in place systems that make lockdowns and mandates impossible in the future.

 

This is the largest and latest example of the revolt and one that could make the biggest difference yet. But it is only one sign among many that the ruling elites in most countries have overplayed their hand.
